Description encoding/decoding of information from a graphic information unit
Systems and methods for encoding information in a graphic information unit. The methods comprise: determining an outer contour of the graphic information unit; and encoding information with an at least two-dimensional code in at least one area located solely within the outer contour. The encoding is applied to image elements of the graphic information unit.
High speed searching method for large-scale image databases
Embodiments are provided to search for a dictionary image corresponding to a target image. The method includes detecting keypoints in a set of dictionary images. The set of dictionary images includes at least one dictionary image having a plurality of pixels. At least one random pair of pixels is selected among the detected keypoints of the dictionary image on the basis of candidate coordinates for pixels distributed around the detected keypoints of the dictionary image. A feature vector of each keypoint of the dictionary image is calculated, including calculating a difference in brightness between the selected pairs of pixels of the dictionary image. The calculated difference in brightness is an element of the feature vector. Keypoints of a target image are detected.
Generating image features based on robust feature-learning
Techniques for increasing robustness of a convolutional neural network based on training that uses multiple datasets and multiple tasks are described. For example, a computer system trains the convolutional neural network across multiple datasets and multiple tasks. The convolutional neural network is configured for learning features from images and accordingly generating feature vectors. By using multiple datasets and multiple tasks, the robustness of the convolutional neural network is increased. A feature vector of an image is used to apply an image-related operation to the image. For example, the image is classified, indexed, or objects in the image are tagged based on the feature vector. Because the robustness is increased, the accuracy of the generating feature vectors is also increased. Hence, the overall quality of an image service is enhanced, where the image service relies on the image-related operation.
AUTOMATIC VIDEO SEGMENT SELECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content generating, searching, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatically extracting and creating an animated Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) file from a media file. The disclosed systems and methods identify a number of GIF candidates from a video file, and based on analysis of each candidate's attributes, features and/or qualities, at least one GIF candidate is automatically selected for rendering.
Image processing device selecting arrangement method for generating arranged image data
An image processing device acquires first and second image data respectively representing first and second images. The first image includes an object image showing a part of an object. The second image shows another part of the object. The first image and the object image respectively include an edge and an object-image edge with respect to a direction. The first image includes first pixels that is located between the edge and the object-image edge and not included in the first object image. The device selects one of arrangement methods according to a condition that the number of first pixels continuously arranged in the direction is larger than a prescribed level. The device determines a relative position between the first and second images using the selected method. The device generates arranged image data representing an arranged image in which the first and second images are arranged according to the relative position.
Method for identifying PDF document
The present invention discloses a method for identifying PDF document. wherein, it comprises the following steps: S1: analyzing the path objects in the PDF document, and identifying the forms in PDF document; S2: analyzing the text objects outside the form regions in the PDF document, and recognizing the text contents in the PDF document; S3: writing the identified results into a temporary file, or writing them into the PDF document as an attachment. The method for identifying PDF document provided by the present invention could identify the tables, the paragraphs, titles, the tabulations and so on in the PDF document, thereby, the PDF document can be edited with the paragraph as a unit, and be tagged conveniently to confirm the reading order, so as to facilitate the reading of people with visual impairment; in the same time, it also can derive document in other forms according to the identified results, which thereby greatly facilitates users to read and edit the PDF document.
REGISTERING CAMERAS WITH VIRTUAL FIDUCIALS
A method of registering first and second cameras in a multi-camera imager comprising generating virtual fiducials at different locations relative to the multi camera imager and using coordinates of the virtual fiducials to determine a fundamental matrix for the cameras.
Rear obstruction detection
A method is provided using a system mounted in a vehicle. The system includes a rear-viewing camera and a processor attached to the rear-viewing camera. When the driver shifts the vehicle into reverse gear, and while the vehicle is still stationary, image frames from the immediate vicinity behind the vehicle are captured. The immediate vicinity behind the vehicle is in a field of view of the rear-viewing camera. The image frames are processed and thereby the object is detected which if present in the immediate vicinity behind the vehicle would obstruct the motion of the vehicle. The processing is preferably performed in parallel for a plurality of classes of obstructing objects using a single image frame of the image frames.
Method for the operation of an assistance system of a motor vehicle, as well as assistance system
A method is provided for operating a driver assistance system of a motor vehicle to detect a polygon-shaped (and especially rectangular) traffic sign with a number of edges. A camera acquires an image of the traffic sign. Within at least a portion of the image, a number of first line segments is determined, which is less than the number of edges of the traffic sign. Based on the first line segments, a reproduction of the traffic sign is identified.
Extracting feature geometries for localization of a device
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for developing a fingerprint database and extracting feature geometries for determining the geographic location of an end-user device. A device collects, or a processor receives, a depth map of a location in a path network. A physical structure is identified within the depth map. The depth map is divided, at the physical structure, into a horizontal plane at an elevation from the road level. A two-dimensional feature geometry is extracted from the horizontal plane of the depth map using a linear regression algorithm, a curvilinear regression algorithm, or a machine learning algorithm.
