THERMAL RUNAWAY CONTAINMENT APPARATUS FOR A BATTERY
A thermal runaway containment apparatus for a battery includes an enclosure base configured to receive a battery therein, an enclosure lid, and a lid constraining structure. The enclosure base has an interconnected floor and side walls, with a top rim defining an open top. The enclosure lid is seatable on the top rim in a seated position that closes the enclosure base. The lid constraining structure is positioned above the lid such that vertical movement of the lid is constrained between the seated position and a maximum partially separated position. When the lid is in the maximum partially separated position, a tortuous flow path into the base is defined; the tortuous flow path allows for venting of pressurized gases out of the enclosure base while impeding inflow of gases at a lower pressure than the pressurized gases into the enclosure base.
VENT DEVICES FOR ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE BATTERY PACKS
A battery pack according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, an enclosure that houses at least one battery cell and a vent device comprised of a polymeric material and adapted to discharge battery vent byproducts vented by the battery cell to a location external to the enclosure while preventing ingress of environmental fluids into the enclosure.

The cell connection unit includes: a substrate accommodating electrode terminals of the battery module; an electronic unit; a connector connected to the electronic unit; and an electronic circuit electrically connecting at least one of the electrode terminals of the battery module to the electronic unit via the connector. The connector includes a fixed electrical connector and a plurality of fixation connectors.
Method and device for increasing safety when using battery systems and bursting discs
Method for increasing safety when using bursting discs (BV), wherein the bursting disc (BV) is suitable for releasing gas in a controlled manner from battery systems (B), wherein a signal, in particular a warning signal, is generated in dependence upon the spatial change at least of one site on the surface of the bursting disc (BV).
Wiring module
A battery wiring module that is attachable to an electric cell set configured with a plurality of electric cells that are lined up in a line-up direction, and that have metal terminals, namely a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The battery wiring module includes: a bus bar for electrically connecting the metal terminals of adjacent electric cells to each other; a resin protector that is made of insulating resin, that has a bus bar holding section for holding the bus bar, and that is attachable to the electric cell set; and an electronic control unit for detecting a state of at least one electric cell. The resin protector is configured to accommodate a tolerance in the line-up direction of the plurality of electric cells, and the electronic control unit is attached to the insulating protector so as to be movable in the line-up direction relative to the insulating protector.
BATTERY SYSTEM WITH COOLING DEVICE
The invention relates to a battery system, in particular for a hybrid drive, having a housing, a plurality of battery cells arranged inside the housing and a cooling element, wherein fluid connections and at least one electrical connection are arranged on the housing, said electrical connection being electrically coupled to the battery cells, and wherein the fluid connections comprise at least one coolant inlet and at least one coolant outlet, each of which is fluidically connected to the cooling element. The invention is characterized in that the housing comprises a tubular main body, which is sealed in a fluid-tight manner by a closure cap at each of the opposite end faces thereof, wherein the electrical connection is arranged on a first closure cap and the fluid connections are arranged on a second closure cap. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle having such a battery system.
SECONDARY BATTERY HEAD COVER ASSEMBLY, SECONDARY BATTERY INCLUDING THE SAME AND ASSEMBLING METHOD THEREOF
The present application relates to a secondary battery head cover assembly, a secondary battery including the same and an assembling method thereof. The secondary battery head cover assembly includes a head cover and an insulation structure, the insulation structure includes a top connection sheet and two naked battery core insulation sheets, an electrode pole is provided on the head cover, and an electrode pole through hole, through which the electrode pole passes, is provided at a position on the top connection sheet corresponding to the electrode pole, the top connection sheet is located below the head cover and is fixed to the head cover. The secondary battery includes the secondary battery head cover assembly and the naked battery core, the naked battery core is located below the top connection sheet, and the two naked battery core insulation sheets wrap the side and bottom surfaces of the naked battery core.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
