There is provided an information processing device including: a global map acquiring unit that acquires at least a part of a global map representing positions of objects in a real space where a plurality of users are in activity; a local map generating unit that generates a local map representing positions of nearby objects detectable by a device of one user among the plurality of users; and an updating unit that updates the global map based on position data of objects included in the local map.

Method and system for reading and validating identity documents that involves acquiring an image of a first and/or a second side of an identity document using a camera of a portable device; recognizing whether MRZ characters exist or are readable in the acquired image; if said MRZ characters are readable or do exist reading them obtaining a pre-identified document, or otherwise, detecting a series of local points of interests and their positions on the image calculating descriptors or vectors; and identifying the type or model of said identity document, starting by correcting perspective distortions caused by a bad relative position of the identity document with respect to the camera for obtaining a corrected and substantially rectangular image of the first and/or second side of the document at a predetermined scale which is used to perform, automatically, said identification of the identity document type or model and to automatically read and identify text and non-text information included in said corrected and substantially rectangular image.
AUTOMATED TITLE DECISION PROCESSING SYSTEM
A system for vehicle title reassignment for vehicles has first and second tables of qualification. The first table defines a definable set of rules for selecting a state to retitle a vehicle responsive to a plurality of input parameters. The second table defines a second definable set of rules for selecting a title brand to retitle the vehicle responsive to the plurality of input parameters. A processor includes an instruction set for configuring the processor to perform a variety of actions. The set of instructions further define an application program interface and automated title system processing logic. The application program interface receives a plurality of input parameters related to at least one vehicle. The plurality of input parameters include at least a total loss decision parameter and a severity of damage rating parameter. The automated title system processing logic controls the processor to select a state in which to retitle a vehicle and a title brand in which to retitle the vehicle responsive to the plurality of input parameters, the first definable set of rules of the first table of qualifications and the second definable set of rules of the second table of qualifications. The automated title processing logic further controls the processor to generated a title change request responsive to the selected state and title brand and transmit the title change request to a governmental entity.
Line segment and arc detection apparatus
An apparatus and method to detect a line segment or arc using Hough transform. A Hough transform unit performs contour extraction on brightness image data to generate contour image data, with pixels having a pixel value of 0 to 255, performs the Hough transform on points in the contour image data, and counts additional values represented by pixel values of points in the contour image data in a Hough table. The Hough transform unit performs contour extraction on first to third component data to generate first to third contour data with pixels having a pixel value of 0 to 255, performs the Hough transform on points in the first to third contour data, and counts additional values represented by pixel values of points in the first to third contour data in the Hough table. The detection unit comprehensively evaluates the counts to detect a line segment or arc.

A mobile device includes a camera, a user interface system, and a processor communicatively coupled to the camera and the user interface system. The processor is typically configured for running a first application. The first application is typically configured for (i) accessing the camera, (ii) upon the initialization of the first application, initializing the camera, and (iii) maintaining the camera in an initialized state as long as the first application is running. Embodiments are directed to a computer-implemented method of identifying an imposter web page. The method includes extracting, using a processor system, visited web page data from a visited web page. The method further includes determining, using the processor system, that the visited web page is an imposter web page, based at least in part on determining, using the processor system, that website location data of the visited web page does not match website location data of at least one legitimate web page, as well as determining that text data associated with image data of the visited web page matches text data associated with image data of the at least one legitimate web page.

Some aspects of the invention relate to a mobile apparatus including an image sensor configured to convert an optical image into an electrical signal. The optical image includes an image of a vehicle license plate. The mobile apparatus includes a license plate detector configured to process the electrical signal to recover information from the vehicle license plate image. The mobile apparatus includes an interface configured to transmit the vehicle license plate information to a remote apparatus and receive a broadcast radio service offer corresponding to the vehicle license plate image in response to the transmission.
PROGRAMMABLE OVERLAY FOR NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT ELECTRONIC IMAGE PROCESSING
Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for generating an overlay of a highlight or mask of a negotiable instrument on a representative's display for keying the instrument. The system overlays and changes the display of a representative's computer screen in real-time for improved keying instruments by generating highlighting or masking of specified portions of the instrument. The invention generates a grid including an X and Y axis on the instrument and identifies the parameter coordinates for the various indicia on the instrument. The invention may contain code for highlighting or masking various indicia on the instrument using the parameter coordinates for mapping. A programmed overlay may be performed on an image of the instrument in real-time as it is queued onto a representative's display. Upon completion of the representative's keying of the instrument, the overlay is removed for storage of the image of the instrument.
