11178544 · 2021-11-16 · ·

Methods for capturing an image for identity verification and recordation are provided. The methods may include receiving, at a specialized processing device, transfer data from a remote terminal. The methods may include determining, based on the transfer data, that an identity verification process is required to execute the transfer data. The methods may include sending, based on a determination that the identity verification process is required, a first image file to the terminal for display. The methods may include receiving from a mobile device, information derived from the first image file which identifies the transfer data and a second image file. The methods may include determining, whether the second image file meets a predefined criteria associated with the transfer data identified by the information derived from the first image file. The methods may include sending an authorization signal upon determining that the second image file meets the criteria.

Various embodiments disclosed herein describe a divided-aperture infrared spectral imaging (DAISI) system that is adapted to acquire multiple IR images of a scene with a single-shot (also referred to as a snapshot). The plurality of acquired images having different wavelength compositions that are obtained generally simultaneously. The system includes at least two optical channels that are spatially and spectrally different from one another. Each of the at least two optical channels are configured to transfer IR radiation incident on the optical system towards an optical FPA unit comprising at least two detector arrays. One of the at least two detector arrays comprises a cooled mid-wavelength infra-red FPA. The system further comprises at least one temperature reference source or surface that is used to dynamically calibrate the two detector arrays and compensate for a temperature difference between the two detector arrays.

EYE GLINT IMAGING IN SEE-THROUGH COMPUTER DISPLAY SYSTEMS

Disclosure herein concerns a method that includes illuminating a user's eye with an illumination source in a head-worn display, capturing an image of the user's eye with an eye camera in the head-worn display, wherein the image includes an eye glint produced by light from the illumination source that is reflected from a surface of the user's eye, determining a size of an eye glint in the captured image, and identifying a change in focus distance for the user's eye in correspondence with a change in the size of the eye glint.

System and Method for Detecting Handwriting Problems

A method for detecting handwriting problem, comprising: acquiring, by a handwriting instrument comprising one motion sensor, motion data while a user is using the handwriting instrument, analyzing the motion data by an artificial intelligence trained to detect a handwriting problem.

Method and system for ink data generation, ink data rendering, ink data manipulation and ink data communication

Methods and systems are provided for generating, rendering, manipulating (e.g., slicing), and communicating stroke objects that form ink data. In a method of generating a stroke object, pen event data indicative of pen down, pen movement, and pen up events are sequentially received to generate point objects that collectively form a stroke object. The point objects serve as control points for interpolating curve segments. Further, a start parameter indicative of a start point within a starting curve segment of the curve segments at which display of the stroke object starts, and an end parameter indicative of an end point within an ending curve segment of at which display of the stroke object ends, are generated for the stroke object. When rendering the stroke object, a system limits display of the stroke object to a range bound by the start and end parameters, as opposed to displaying the entire stroke object.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATED PRIVACY PROTECTION IN DISTRIBUTED IMAGES

A method executed by a computer includes receiving an image from a client device. A facial recognition technique is executed against an individual face within the image to obtain a recognized face. Privacy rules are applied to the image, where the privacy rules are associated with privacy settings for a user associated with the recognized face. A privacy protected version of the image is distributed, where the privacy protected version of the image has an altered image feature.

Method of handwritten character recognition confirmation

The present invention concerns a method for an artificial neural network to confirm the recognition of handwritten characters produced by a user. The method comprising: training the artificial neural network with a training data set comprising a first set of characters; collecting handwritten characters of a second set of characters produced by the user; and analysing the collected characters of the second set of characters by using the artificial neural network to obtain a first set of probability values comprising character specific probability values for the collected characters, each character specific probability value indicating the probability that the collected character has been correctly interpreted. The analysis considers at least the manner how the collected characters are handwritten and the appearance of the collected characters to obtain the character specific probability values. The invention also relates to a corresponding data processing apparatus.

Mail carrier training method

Described herein is a method and system for sorting and delivering postal items. The method includes overlaying a grid onto a sorting area; the grid system includes rows and columns of cells. A set of coordinates is used to indicate to the carrier where an address associated with a piece of mail is located in the sorting area. The method also includes guiding a carrier along the route and indicating to the carrier where mail associated with the address has been sorted.

Techniques are described for automated operations involving acquiring and analyzing information from an interior of a house, building or other structure, for use in generating and providing a representation of that interior. Such techniques may include using a user's mobile device to capture video data from multiple viewing locations (e.g., 360° video at each viewing location) within multiple rooms, and capturing data linking the multiple viewing locations (e.g., by recording video, acceleration and/or other data from the mobile device as the user moves between the two viewing locations), creating a panorama image for each viewing location, analyzing the linking information to model the user's travel path and determine relative positions/directions between at least some viewing locations, creating inter-panorama links in the panoramas to each of one or more other panoramas based on such determined positions/directions, and providing information to display multiple linked panorama images to represent the interior.
