A wireless hotspot operation method used in a wireless hotspot device includes the steps described below. A remote device is wirelessly connected to the wireless hotspot device and whether a physical address of the remote device exists in an address table is determined, wherein the address table includes a plurality of entries each configured to record a connected device physical address of a connected device. When the physical address does not exist in the address table, whether a capacity of the address table exceeds a threshold value is determined. When the capacity exceeds the threshold value, one of the connection parameters of the connected device satisfying a removing criterion is determined. The connected device physical address of the connected device with the connection parameter satisfying the removing criterion is removed from the address table. The physical address of the remote device is added to the address table.

EZ-PASS: AN ENERGY PERFORMANCE-EFFICIENT POWER-GATING ROUTER ARCHITECTURE FOR SCALABLE ON-CHIP INTERCONNECT ARCHITECTURE
20200067814 · 2020-02-27 ·

With the advent of manycore architecture, on-chip interconnect connects a number of cores, caches, memory modules, accelerators, graphic processing unit (GPU) or chiplets in one system. However, on-chip interconnect architecture consumes a significant portion of total parallel computing chip power. Power-gating is an effective technique to reduce power consumption by powering off the routers, but it suffers from a large wake-up latency to resume the full activity of routers. Recent research aims to improve the wake-up latency penalty by hiding it through early wake-up techniques. However, these techniques do not exploit the full advantage of power-gating due to the early wake-up. Consequently, they do not achieve significant power savings. The present invention provides a new router architecture that remedies the large wake-up latency overheads while providing significant power savings. The invention takes advantage of a simple switch to transmit packets without waking up the router. Additionally, the technique hides the wake-up latency by continuing to provide packet transmission during the wake-up phase.

DATA MANAGEMENT IN AN EDGE NETWORK

Generally discussed herein are systems, devices, and methods for data management in a reverse content data network (rCDN). A component of the rCDN may include a memory to hold content received from a first sensor device of a plurality of sensor devices of the rCDN and first attributes that describe properties of the content. The component may include processing circuitry to receive second content from a second sensor device of the plurality of sensor devices, the second content including a plurality of second attributes that describe properties of the second content, and forward, in response to a determination, based on the first and second attributes, that there is insufficient space to store the second content on the memory, the second content to a node of the rCDN that is fewer hops away from a backend cloud than the component.
