ELECTRODE-STATUS-DETERMINING FACILITY AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING ELECTRODE STATUS INFORMATION
A method is for determining electrode status information relating to an electrode in a differential voltage measuring system for measuring a bioelectric signal, the electrode status information indicating whether the electrode is connected or not connected. An embodiment of the method includes the acquisition of a temporal profile of an electric current flowing through a shunt resistor, wherein the shunt resistor is arranged in series with the electrode in an electric transmission path of the differential voltage measuring system, and the determination of the electrode status information on the basis of the temporal profile.
Imaging compatible electrode-set for measurement of body electrical signals and methods for fabricating the same using ink-jet printing
This invention relates to devices and methods for measuring and/or recording electrical signals from a body, particularly to devices and methods for recording electrical signals from a body while inside a medical imaging device, such as magnetic field scanner, such as a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, or a computerized tomography (CT) scanner, and more particularly to devices, such as headpieces with electrodes and conductive pathways, and methods for synthesis of conductive inks used to fabricate the devices, such as with inkjet printer technology. Inkjet compatible inks may be utilized that employ nanoparticle solutions or metalorganic decomposition to generate metallic depositions, such as of silver, without sintering or other secondary processing in predetermined, including customized, layouts.
Evaluation of the quality of electrode contact with a skin surface
An instrument that utilizes body contact electrodes evaluates the quality of the connections made between the electrodes and the body. An electrode contact quality evaluation circuit performs the quality evaluation, such as by determining contact impedances for the electrodes. The corresponding contact quality of each electrode is conveyed to the user.
ECG ELECTRODE AND LEADWIRE CONNECTION INTEGRITY DETECTION
A system and method for ECG electrode and leadwire connection integrity detection are provided herein. The system includes a plurality of electrodes wherein a uniform spectral energy signal is to be injected into a subset of electrodes of the plurality of electrodes. The system also includes a computing device. The computing device includes a display, and the computing device is communicably coupled to the plurality of electrodes. The computing device is configured to acquire input signals from an electrode and determine a frequency response from the electrode based on the input signal from the electrode. The computing device is also configured to determine impairments in the electrode and leadwire connection using the frequency response.
