BUILDING MEMBRANE WITH POROUS PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE
A breatheable multilayer spun bonded polypropylene membrane having a coated pressure sensitive adhesive capable of allowing air and moisture vapor to pass through it. The adhesive is formed of a copolymer comprising a backbone of n-butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, and vinyl acetate which is mixed with a surfactant and emulsified to produce bubbles which form pores when the copolymer is set with about 80% to about 90% of the pore sizes ranging from about 200 microns to about 300 microns and a pore density in the cured pressure sensitive adhesive ranging from about 4200 per inch.sup.2 to about 4600 per inch.sup.2, said pores being uniformly distributed to form a flow path through adhesive.
FLUID ACTIVATABLE ADHESIVES FOR GLUE-FREE, LINER-FREE, LABELS FOR GLASS AND PLASTIC SUBSTRATES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A fluid activatable adhesive for a liner-free label and methods of using are described. Preferably, the adhesive composition includes a polymer, such as an emulsion polymer formed from monomers selected from the group consisting of butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, methyl acrylate, 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS), a salt of AMPS, such as its sodium salt, styrene, and combinations thereof. The adhesive composition adheres to the liner-free label to the surface of a substrate that is at room temperature, at room temperature and wet, cold, or cold and wet. In preferred embodiments, the substrate is glass or plastic, such as polyethylene terephthalate.

High Temperature Resistant Colored, Especially Orange Colored Adhesive Tape as well as Method and Carriers for the Manufacture Thereof and Wiring Harness With Such an Adhesive Tape
An orange-colored adhesive tape (1) a cable-wrapping tape, including a colored textile substrate (4, 4a, 4b) and an adhesive layer (5, 5a, 5b) applied at least to one side of the substrate (4, 4a, 4b). The substrate (4, 4a, 4b) contains at least one red and at least one further colorant. In order to improve colored tapes of the above-mentioned type, in particular providing increased temperature stability, while maintaining advantageous usage properties, at least one of the colorants contains a diazo compound or is completely formed therefrom. A method and a substrate (4, 4a, 4b) for manufacturing the adhesive tape (1) as well as a cable harness (3) with the adhesive tape (1) are also described.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND ADHESIVE SHEET USING THE SAME
An adhesive composition that enables adhesion between metals, between a metal and an organic material, and between an organic material and an organic material, have at the same time an excellent storage stability, and are capable of maintaining an excellent adhesive strength even in a high temperature hydrothermal environment, is provided. The adhesive composition according to the present invention comprises an epoxy resin, an epoxy modified silicone resin, an acrylic resin, and a curing agent, the above-mentioned epoxy resin comprising a bisphenol bifunctional epoxy resin and an epoxy resin with trifunctionality or higher functionality, and the above acrylic resin comprising a binary copolymer of methyl methacrylate-butyl acrylate-methyl methacrylate or a modified product thereof.
SHEET TO BE PASTED ON ROAD SURFACE, FLOOR, OR WALL SURFACE AND SET FOR FORMING SHEET TO BE PASTED ON ROAD SURFACE, FLOOR, OR WALL SURFACE
An object of the invention is to provide a sheet for application to a road surface, a floor, or a wall surface of which following properties to a pasted road surface, a pasted floor, or a pasted wall surface are excellent, and of which strength is excellent and a set for forming a sheet for application to a road surface, a floor, or a wall surface, which can easily form the sheet.
The sheet for application to a road surface, a floor, or a wall surface according to the invention has a pressure sensitive adhesive layer; a base material layer that is in contact with the pressure sensitive adhesive layer and of which a tensile elastic modulus is 150 MPa or less; and a protective layer of which a tensile elastic modulus is 1,000 MPa or greater, in this order. A set for forming a sheet for application to a road surface, a floor, or a wall surface according to the invention includes: an image forming sheet including a peeling layer, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, a base material layer that is in contact with the pressure sensitive adhesive layer and of which a tensile elastic modulus is 150 MPa or less, and an image forming layer, in this order; and a protective sheet including a peeling layer, an adhesive layer, and a protective layer of which a tensile elastic modulus is 1,000 MPa or greater, in this order.
Hot melt adhesive
A hot melt adhesive material and articles made using the hot melt adhesive to assemble structures in an article. The adhesive material typically is manufactured by blending amorphous polymer with a heterophase polymer having crystallinity into an adhesive composition.
Heat sealable laminate and method for producing same
The present invention relates to a laminate comprising at least three layers, paper/polyethylene/polyethylene terephthalate, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate is directly coated on the polyethylene surface, with no adhesive layer or the like being interposed, and the polyethylene terephthalate layer has heat sealability; and a method for producing a laminate having polyethylene coated on at least one surface of a paper substrate, the method involving extrusion laminating polyethylene terephthalate onto a surface of the polyethylene, wherein an air gap expressed as the distance from a lip opening of a die to the polyethylene surface is 25 cm or less.
