System and method for wireless updates for industrial cellular communication devices in hazardous locations
A system and method for updating industrial cellular communications devices. A supercapacitor and a cellular modem are connected electronically to one another. A host can communicate bidirectionally and wirelessly with the cellular modem. A microcontroller is connected electronically with the cellular modem, such that the microcontroller facilitates monitoring with the cellular modem of a voltage and temperature associated with the super capacitor. When the voltage of the super capacitor attains a lower voltage limit, the cellular modem stops receiving data from the host and sends a status code to the host and disconnects a data call and data transfer and enters into a sleep mode during which time the super capacitor is recharged. The cellular modem can reestablish the data call with the host after the super capacitor has been recharged.
Wireless connection system and method of controlling same
Disclosed are a wireless connection system capable of conveniently connecting two devices through short-range wireless communication and a method of controlling the same. A method of controlling a mobile terminal performing wireless connection to a vehicle includes displaying a first menu corresponding to a first connection type and a second menu corresponding to a second connection type according to a first command, selecting the first menu or the second menu according to a second command, and performing automatic connection to the vehicle through a connection type corresponding to a menu selected by the second command. The first connection type uses information about whether a wireless connection address of the vehicle is equal to a pre-stored address and the second connection type uses the wireless connection address acquired from a digital code provided through the vehicle.
Communication system for pairing user devices with medical devices
A user device and a breath analysis device (or other types of portable devices) use a pairing and communication protocol that address user convenience and connectivity issues. For example, a breath analysis device is associated with a unique identifier and the unique identifier is associated with an account corresponding to the user. Likewise, a user device is associated with a user device identifier and the user device identifier is associated with the account corresponding to the user. The breath analysis device and the user device can use at least one of the identifiers to determine whether the user device is authorized to pair with the breath analysis device, and vice-versa. If authorized, the breath analysis device and user device can pair with one another. Once paired, the user device may wirelessly communicate with the breath analysis device for various purposes, such as to retrieve and display breath analysis test results.
Systems and methods for mobility state estimation framework for LTE network
Methods, systems, and devices for mobility state estimation in a heterogeneous network are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) includes circuitry to perform a mobility state estimation (MSE) operation to determine an MSE state for the UE, and a receiver to receive, from a cell in a heterogeneous third generation partnership project (3GPP) network, mobility state information corresponding to movement of the UE within the heterogeneous 3GPP network. The circuitry is configured to update the MSE state based on the mobility state information received from the cell. The UE may also include a transmitter to communicate the updated MSE state to the cell.
EVENT SIGNALLING IN A WIRELESS BACKHAUL NETWORK
There is provided a method for signaling an event associated with a wireless terminal in a communications network. The method is performed by an information providing node. The method comprises detecting an event associated with a wireless terminal, the event causing a change of operation in at least a client node or a hub node in a wireless backhaul network. The method comprises transmitting a message indicative of the event towards an information receiving node.
Data Forwarding Support in Dual Connectivity
Data forwarding may be useful in many communication systems. Thus, for example, data forwarding support may be useful in dual connectivity in, for example, the third generation partnership project (3GPP) and more particularly to dual connectivity with enabled downlink (DL) data back forwarding. A method can include receiving, by a first network node, an indication indicating that for at least one split bearer, data received prior to the indication is to be forwarded to a second network node. The indication can also indicate that the at least one split bearer should be kept or maintained at the first network node. The method can also include, in response to the received indication, forwarding the data for the at least one split bearer received prior to the
MULTI-INPUT AND MULTI-OUTPUT (MIMO) SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SATELLITE SERVICE
The present invention discloses an MIMO satellite service system and a method for providing an MIMO satellite service. According to the present invention, by periodically reporting terminal status information to a gateway platform, and acquiring connectable satellite communication systems of all MIMO satellite service terminals from a broadcast message, all MIMO satellite service terminals that access a network can update, in real time, types of satellite communication systems that can be connected by other terminals in the network. Therefore, not only a same satellite communication system can be selected to perform communication, but also communication across satellite communication systems can be performed based on forwarding of the gateway platform. Therefore, flexibility of satellite communication is improved, and interconnection and intercommunication are implemented for users that use different satellite communication systems, thereby improving application convenience of users that access a network, and also improving a bandwidth utilization rate of a communication system.
SWITCHING-ON METHOD, BASE STATION, BASE STATION CONTROLLER, SWITCHING-ON SYSTEM AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A switching-on method for implementing automatic switching-on of base station, which is applied on a base station, includes: establishing, by the base station, an interactive link with a base station controller; transmitting, by the base station, an identifier uniquely identifying the base station; and receiving, by the base station, switching-on parameters corresponding to the identifier and executing the switching-on parameters.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING RELAY SELECTION IN DEVICE-TO-DEVICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5.sup.th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4.sup.th-generation (4G) communication system such as a long term evolution (LTE). The various embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for selecting a relay in a source user equipment (UE) in a device-to-device (D2D) communication system. The method includes receiving a relay discovery message from one or more user equipment-network (UE-NW) relays; measuring a radio link quality of a wireless link between the source UE and a UE-NW relay for each of the one or more UE-NW relays discovered by the source UE; and selecting a UE-NW relay using information included in the relay discovery message, the radio link quality of the wireless link between the source UE and the UE-NW relay and a radio link quality of the wireless link between the UE-NW relay and a base station (BS).
