Secure wireless local area network (WLAN) for data and control traffic

A device receives capability information associated with a next hop device of a wireless local area network (WLAN). The device also determines, based on the capability information, whether the next hop device is capable of implementing security for traffic, where the security includes a media access control (MAC) security standard and a layer 2 link security standard. The device further creates, via the MAC security standard, a secure channel with the next hop device when the next hop device is capable of providing security for traffic.

A method for acquiring control information by a device-to-device (D2D) terminal in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: determining a resource region in which control information is transmitted on the basis of a D2D occupied bandwidth; and acquiring the control information from the resource region.

Network nodes, methods performed therein, computer programs and a computer readable storage medium

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed in a first network node for handling one or more signaling procedures of a wireless device in a wireless communication network. The first network node, receiving a first message from a second network node indicating an initiation of a signaling procedure for the wireless device; selecting a processing module for handling the signaling procedure; retrieving context of the wireless device; storing the retrieved context on the selected processing module; assigning a TRID to the signaling procedure, pointing to the selected processing module, which TRID being valid for an interval; and transmitting a second message to the second network node and/or another network node, which second message is associated with the signaling procedure and comprises the assigned TRID.

Method for reporting a radio link control re-transmission failure and a device therefor

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for reporting an RLC (Radio Link Control) re-transmission failure in the wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station (BS), an indicator indicating a radio bearer (RB) which the UE reports a RLC retransmission error to the BS; and reporting, to a BS, an Radio Link Control (RLC) retransmission error if the RLC retransmission error occurs in the RB indicated by the indicator.

Discovery method and apparatus

Provided are a discovery method and apparatus. A communication method for a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB); receiving a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; checking whether the contents of the first message match the UE; and sending, when the contents of the first message match the UE, a second message associated with the first message to the second UE via the second resource region. A user equipment (UE) may include: a communication unit configured to receive first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB), and receive a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; and a control unit configured to check whether the contents of the first message match the UE.

Establishment of dual connectivity

The disclosure relates to methods for supporting establishment of dual connectivity for a wireless device, performed in a wireless communication network. The wireless device is connected to a first network element via a second network element. The second network element and the wireless device are communicating over a first wireless link. Network functions are split between the first network element and the second network element. The method performed in the wireless device comprises transmitting (2110) a request for a connection to a third network element which is a candidate network element for establishing DC, transmitting (2120) information identifying the first network element to the third network element, and transmitting (2130) an identifier of the wireless device to the third network element, for enabling the establishment of dual connectivity for the wireless device. The disclosure also relates to the methods performed in the network elements, and to the corresponding apparatus.

Device-to-device communication in a cellular communication system

A method performed in a device-to-device (D2D) enabled device, for transmitting discovery signals for enabling D2D communication establishment in a cellular communication system is disclosed. The method comprises assigning, by a controller of the device, a time in a periodic time schedule and at least a subcarrier among a plurality of subcarriers assigned for carrier for D2D communication of the communication system based on a dynamic rule for spreading timing and/or subcarrier selection for the discovery signal. Furthermore, the method comprises transmitting, by a transceiver of the device, the discovery signal according to the time and subcarrier assignment provided by the controller.

IP multimedia subsystem, proxy session control apparatus, and communication control method

A P-CSCF (310) includes a terminating call processing unit (311) which receives SIP INVITE from an S-CSCF. The SIP INVITE includes an identifier of UE, and is relayed in response to acceptance of a terminating call to the UE. The P-CSCF (310) further includes: a restoration execution unit (313) which executes restoration of a subscriber profile linked with the UE based on reception of the SIP INVITE; and an address holding unit (315) which holds an address of a PCRF included in a response received from a DRA along with the execution of the restoration. The restoration execution unit reestablishes a session between the UE and the PCRF based on the held address of the PCRF, and causes the UE to execute re-registration with an IP multimedia subsystem.
