Bluetooth low energy hostless private address resolution
09853969 · 2017-12-26 · ·

Conventional Bluetooth low energy (or like personal wireless network) controllers cannot resolve private addresses without some calculation from a host processor but leaving the host processor on or awaking it from a sleep each time a non-trusted device attempts to connect wastes power. Hostless private address resolution allows a host controller to enter a sleep state off while the Bluetooth controller advertises its device name, primary services, rejects connection requests from non-trusted devices with public and private addresses, and awakens the host controller upon a connection request from a trusted client device with a public or private address. Not only does this approach reduce power consumption by allowing the host processor to remain in the sleep state it simultaneously ensures security by allowing the private address resolution to remain active on the Bluetooth controller.

Display device and method of setting the same

A display device configured to communicate with at least one other display device connected to a network is disclosed. The display device includes communication circuitry configured to receive unique information and a service set identifier (SSID) from each of the at least one other display device, the unique information for use in identification of each of the at least one other display device, and a controller configured to change an SSID based on a comparison between unique information of the display device and at least one piece of the received unique information.

Flexible connectivity framework

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatuses related to a flexible connectivity framework. A device may cause to send a discovery request seeking a service. The device may identify a discovery response received from a computing device advertising the service. The device may cause to send a connectivity information request to the computing device. The device may identify a connectivity information response including one or more session information received from the computing device.

System and method for proximity based networked mobile communication
09854616 · 2017-12-26 ·

Communication between users of mobile devices is provided based on proximities between the users. Users are given unique identifiers, which are stored on a server, and mobile devices with the unique identifiers broadcast transmissions with their unique identifiers. The mobile devices listen for incoming identifiers from other mobile devices, and devices are detected directly or through an external radio communication device or hotspot. Additionally, indirect detection through another mobile device or hotspot is used to linking the first mobile device and the second mobile device. The detection is used to form a group of two or more mobile devices, providing at least a subset of profile information associated with the list of users in the group to the first mobile device to form proximity groups.

Domain-aware device protection via cross-validation among spatially-adjacent devices

Protecting a mobile device is provided. A first set of IoT devices in a first domain at a first geographic location is established by communicating with respective members of the first set of IoT devices. Respective ones of the first set of IoT devices are identified within the first domain as registered to a user corresponding to a mobile device based on a list of registered devices generating a registered subset of IoT devices that includes the mobile device. It is determined that the mobile device is in an unsecure environment based on establishing proximity to unknown IoT devices that are not members of the registered subset of IoT devices. A self-protection mode of operation is launched on the mobile device in response to determining that the mobile device is in the unsecure environment based on establishing proximity to the unknown IoT devices.

Wireless charging and network connection system and method thereof

A to-be-charged electronic client device is placed on a wireless base device. An information member of the wireless base device provides pairing information to a wireless first charging member which transmits electricity signals including the pairing information in a wireless manner to the electronic client device. The electronic client device is charged by the electricity signals. In the meantime, the electronic client device pairs with a wireless first pairing member of the wireless base device. The wireless first pairing member passes a connectivity information provided by the information member to the electronic client device so that it can linked with the Internet automatically and accordingly. The present invention allows the electronic client device to access the Internet automatically while being wireless charged.

Rank indicator inheritance for subframe restricted channel state information reporting

Generally, this disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for subframe restricted Channel State Information (CSI) reporting with Rank Indicator (RI) inheritance. A User Equipment (UE) device may include an RI generation module to generate RIs based on a received CSI configuration from an evolved Node B (eNB) of a serving cell of the UE. The UE may also include an RI Reference Process CSI generation module to generate a first Reference CSI including a first selected RI of the generated RIs, the first selection based on a first subframe set of the received CSI configuration, and to generate a second Reference CSI including a second selected RI of the generated RIs, the second selection based on a second subframe set of the received CSI configuration. The UE may further include a Linked Process CSI generation module to generate a linked CSI including an inherited RI from the first Reference CSI.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMMUNCATION IN NEAR FIELD COMMUNCATION NETWORK

A method and an electronic device are provided for establishing, at a first electronic device, a communication link between the first electronic device and a second electronic device in a Near Field Communication (NFC) network. The method includes sending, to the second electronic device, a discovery request for discovery of one or more services registered in the second electronic device; receiving, from the second electronic device, a discovery response including a parameter list for the one or more services registered in the second electronic device; and establishing a logical link control protocol (LLCP) link between the first electronic device and the second electronic device based on the discovery response. Each of the discovery request and the discovery response is formed in a logical link control (LLC) protocol data unit (PDU).

ASSOCIATED DEVICE DISCOVERY IN IMS NETWORKS

A method of associating multiple user endpoints (UEs) with a single IMS session in an IMS network having a serving node for controlling at least one IMS session for a user and at least a first access network for providing access to UEs. The method involves associating a first UE with the user and with an IMS session; discovering a second UE in a proximity of the first UE; discovering information about the second UE; communicating the information about the second UE to the serving node; the serving node utilizing computer-implemented policy logic to determine whether to associate the second UE with the user and the IMS session; and if the policy logic determines that the second UE is to be associated, the serving node associating the second UE with the IMS session while retaining the association with the first UE.
