Apparatus and method for establishing uplink synchronization in a wireless communication system
Uplink synchronization establishment in a base station which operates a plurality of component carriers according to one embodiment of the present description, is performed in that the base station is connected to a user equipment, sets component carrier aggregation information, generates an uplink timing groups in the set component carrier aggregation, and transmits information on the thus-generated uplink timing groups to the user equipment.
Method of avoiding IDC interference in a wireless communication system and apparatus for same
A user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is described. The UE includes a long term evolution (LTE) transceiver for receiving configuration information from a network, and a processor for detecting an in-device coexistence (IDC) condition according to the configuration information and initiating a transmission of information on the detected IDC condition to the network. The information on the detected IDC condition comprises frequency information, and the transmission is initiated after the UE has failed to resolve the detected IDC condition on its own.
Configuration of carrier-related reference signal transmission
There are provided measures for configuration of carrier-related reference signal transmission. Such measures exemplarily include setting of a transmission mode for reference signal transmission on a carrier out of at least a long-cycle discontinuous transmission mode and a short-cycle discontinuous transmission mode, said long-cycle discontinuous transmission mode having a longer transmission discontinuity period than the short-cycle discontinuous transmission mode, and configuration of a transmission of at least one reference signal on the carrier according to the set transmission mode. The transmission mode setting may for example be based on at least one of an activation state of the carrier as serving cell and/or secondary cell and/or measurement object cell and a period of radio resource management measurement on the carrier.
Motion-based kinetic fingerprint radio selection
Motion adaptive wireless user equipment (UE) in a wireless network are provided. Kinetic information is leveraged to select a preferred radio (or radio technology) or adapt a reselection scanning interval. This can serve to improve the performance of a UE by reducing the amount of power expended in maintaining an adequate level of connectedness to the wireless network components in the face of UE movement. In a further aspect, kinetic power generators can be employed as a source of UE transit data. Kinetic fingerprints can be compared to UE transit data, e.g., that acquired from a kinetic generator of the UE, to facilitate selection of preferred radios and reselection intervals. In this aspect, radio selection schema and reselection scanning schema can effectively be selected with little to no drain on a UE power source.
Intelligent wireless router and wireless communication system
The disclosure provides an intelligent wireless router and a wireless communication system. The intelligent wireless router comprises a setting unit receiving initial setting information, connection setting information and device control information input from outside; a processing unit conducting initial setting on the intelligent wireless router according to the initial setting information, establishing or disconnecting wireless connection among a plurality of designated WIFI wireless terminals according to connection setting information, and controlling running states of the wireless terminals according to the device control information; a WIFI wireless communication unit establishing or disconnecting the wireless connection among the plurality of designated wireless terminals under the control of the processing unit, sending the device control information to the designated wireless terminals, and forwards a file among a plurality of wireless terminals; and a storage unit storing the setting information and the file to be forwarded.
Method and apparatus for maintaining service continuity of user equipment after tracking area is updated
Provided are a method and an apparatus for maintaining service continuity of a UE after a tracking area is updated. In the method, after a UE initiates a TAU request, an MME judges whether an updated target SGW is the same as a source SGW (S302); in a case where a judgment result is that the updated target SGW is not the same as the source SGW, the MME further judges whether an eNodeB currently accessed by the UE is changed (S304); and in a case where the eNodeB is not changed, the MME selects the target SGW to serve the UE and sends the eNodeB a notification message indicating that the UE is switched over to a serving area of the target SGW, or the MME stops selecting an SGW for the UE but directly instructs the UE to continue to be served by the source SGW (S306).
Optimization of network signaling load and/or user equipment power consumption in a packet mobile system
In an embodiment, there is provided a method for optimization of network signalling load and/or User Equipment power consumption in a packet mobile system wherein an User Equipment UE has access to a network comprising a Core Network CN accessed by a Radio Access Network RAN, a method wherein CN assistance information is provided by said CN to said RAN for an UE, said CN assistance information including information determined in said CN based on a learning by said CN of a traffic pattern and/or a mobility pattern of said UE, and said CN assistance information is used in said RAN to adjust RAN parameters enabling to control transitions between idle and connected state and/or power consumption in connected state for said UE.
Transmitting direct mode communication apparatus, receiving direct mode communication apparatus and communication path switching method thereof
A transmitting direct mode communication apparatus, a receiving direct mode communication apparatus and a communication path switching method thereof are provided. The transmitting direct mode communication apparatus and the receiving direct mode communication apparatus maintain a backend network connection, and communicate with each other via a direct communication connection. The transmitting direct mode communication apparatus and the receiving direct mode communication apparatus are capable of switching the communication to backend network connection rapidly and seamlessly for transmitting data normally after the direct communication connection failed.
