IP address assignment apparatus, system, and method
The present invention provides an IP address assignment apparatus and method. A packet data gateway receives a connection establishment request that is sent by a mobility management network element and that carries user location information, assigns an IP address to the terminal according to a correspondence between the user location information and an IP address pool, and feeds back the IP address to the mobility management network element. In the present invention, effects that the packet data gateway can assign an IP address according to a location of a terminal, and different IP addresses are assigned at different regions are achieved.
Method and apparatus for supporting an lOPS in a wireless access system
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for supporting an IOPS and notifying the IOPS status. In one aspect of the present invention, a method for supporting an Isolated E-UTRAN Operations for Public Safety (IOPS) in a wireless access system, the method performed by a User Equipment (UE) in a RRC connection mode and comprises steps of receiving a radio resource control (RRC) connection release message including a release cause field and an IOPS extended wait time field for restricting an initial access procedure; and releasing the RRC connection mode when the release cause field indicating an IOPS situation has been occurred, wherein the IOPS extended wait time field is configured to an Extended Wait Time (EWT) field indicating a time duration restricting the initial access procedure or to a Further Announcement field indicating the initial access procedure is restricted until a further announcement is received.
Remote alarm hushing
Methods and devices may be used to remotely hushing an event notification by receiving, from a sensor of the electronic device, an indication that a measured level has surpassed a notification threshold. In response to the indication, generating an advertising packet including an event notification for broadcast over a low power wireless point-to-point communication protocol and communicating the advertising packet including the event notification over the low power wireless point-to-point communication protocol.
Periodic channel state information reporting for time division duplex (TDD) carrier aggregation systems
Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to report periodic channel state information (CSI) is disclosed. The UE can determine a reporting period (N.sub.pd) of the UE for a serving cell. The UE can identify a Time-Division Duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration of a primary cell of the UE. The UE can transmit a periodic CSI report for the serving cell to an evolved node B (eNB) using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) on the primary cell according to the reporting period. The UE can use the reporting period of N.sub.pd=1 for the serving cell if the TDD UL-DL configuration of the primary cell is one of 0, 1, 3, 4, or 6 and all UL subframes of the primary cell in a radio frame are used for periodic CSI reporting.
Periodic channel state information reporting for time division duplex (TDD) carrier aggregation systems
Technology for reporting periodic channel state information (CSI) is disclosed. One method can include determining a reporting period (N.sub.pd) of a user equipment (UE) for a serving cell. A Time-Division Duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration of a primary cell of the UE can be identified. A periodic CSI report for the serving cell can be transmitted, from the UE to the eNB, using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) on the primary cell according to the reporting period. The reporting period of N.sub.pd=1 can be used for the serving cell if the TDD UL-DL configuration of the primary cell is one of 0, 1, 3, 4, or 6 and all UL subframes of the primary cell in a radio frame are used for periodic CSI reporting.
Method and apparatus for adjusting device-to-device timing in wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for adjusting device-to-device (D2D) timing in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes detecting a signal on a second D2D group, and adjusting D2D timing of the first D2D group based on the detected signal on the second D2D group. The first D2D group includes a first device and a second device which perform D2D operation in the first D2D group, and the second D2D group includes a third device and a fourth device which perform D2D operation in the second D2D group.
RESUMING PACKET SERVICES IN A MOBILE NETWORK
This disclosure relates generally to resuming packet services in a mobile network. A device, method, and/or system may include switching, with user equipment, from communicating with a first radio access network to communicating with a second radio access network, setting, with a processor of the user equipment, a register of the user equipment to initiate packet services with the first radio access network, and transmitting, with the user equipment, a request to a core network node of the first radio access network to resume communications with the first radio access network based, at least in part, on the register.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT AND WIRELESS CHANNEL TERMINATION
According to one configuration, an access point control resource receives channel allocation information indicating a change to allocation of channels in a wireless band currently used by multiple wireless access points to communicate with multiple communication devices in a network. The access point control resource uses the channel allocation information to identify a particular wireless channel (such as a de-allocated wireless channel) to be terminated from use by the multiple wireless access points. In accordance with the channel allocation information, when vacating use of the de-allocated channel, the access point control resource controls an order of terminating use of the particular wireless channel by the multiple wireless access points.
Communication link termination indication signal method and apparatus
Upon detecting at a two-way communication device that a communication link has been terminated, the two-way communication device can provide a unique corresponding signal (such as a unique audible signal) to indicate such termination. Pursuant to one approach, a plurality of such unique signals are available and a specific one of the available signals is selected for use in a given circumstance using a selection criteria of choice.
Communication of preferred power consumption configurations
Technology for communicating power preference indication (PPI) message is described. A user equipment (UE) may receive PPI configuration information, from an evolved node B (eNB), wherein the PPI configuration information includes a predetermined threshold for a number of PPI messages that the UE can communicate to the eNB during a defined time window. The UE may communicate a plurality of PPI messages after sending a low power consumption configuration to the eNB during the defined time window, wherein the plurality of PPI messages each indicate a change in preferred power consumption configuration. The UE may detect that the plurality of PPI messages exceeds the predetermined threshold for the number of PPI messages that the UE can communicate to the eNB during the defined time window as defined in the PPI configuration information. The UE may initiate a threshold timer in response to the plurality of PPI messages exceeding the predetermined threshold to restrict additional PPI messages from being communicated to the eNB until expiration of the threshold timer.
