Time division duplex (TDD) uplink downlink (UL-DL) reconfiguration
An evolved node (eNB) operable to transmit a Time Division Duplex (TDD) uplink-downlink (UL-DL) reconfiguration in a heterogeneous network (HetNet) is disclosed. The eNB can receive, from a user equipment (UE), a UE capability report that indicates the UE supports a TDD UL-DL reconfiguration functionality. The eNB can transmit, to the UE, a configuration to enable TDD UL-DL reconfiguration at the UE. The eNB can transmit, to the UE, a TDD UL-DL reconfiguration signal in a downlink control information (DCI) message. The UE can be configured to update a TDD UL-DL configuration of the UE based on the TDD UL-DL reconfiguration signal transmitted on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in preconfigured downlink or special (DL/S) subframes by the eNB.
METHOD FOR COUNTING A DRX (DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION) TIMER IN A CARRIER AGGREGATION SYSTEM AND A DEVICE THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for counting a DRX (Discontinuous Reception) timer in a carrier aggregation system, the method comprising: configuring a plurality of cells including at least one FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) serving cell and at least one TDD (Time Division Duplex) serving cell; and counting a DRX timer in a subframe, wherein the subframe is an uplink subframe for all TDD serving cells.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SECURITY MODE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Disclosed is a method for controlling a security mode by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, including performing a camp-on process and a cell update process with a network when an out-of-service (OOS) situation has occurred, receiving one of a signaling connection release (SCR) message and a first protocol data unit (PDU) which corresponds to the SCR message from the network, receiving a security mode command (SMC) message from the network if the SCR message is received, performing an integrity process on the SCR message using an old security configuration, and performing a rollback process to discard a new security configuration included in the SMC message if a result of the integrity process result an integrity check success, and updating a security configuration to the old security configuration.
Managing radio resource control (RRC) connections based on radio bearer attributes
A base station may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a first user device. The base station may determine a bearer attribute of a bearer associated with the RRC connection and the first user device. The base station may determine that the bearer attribute satisfies a set of conditions, and may analyze multiple bearer attributes associated with multiple established RRC connections. The base station may select a terminable RRC connection, of the multiple established RRC connections, based on analyzing the multiple bearer attributes. The terminable RRC connection may be associated with a second user device that is different from the first user device, and the terminable RRC connection may be different from the RRC connection. The device may terminate the terminable RRC connection based on selecting the terminable RRC connection.
Suspending a Connection in a Wireless Communication System
An evolved Node B (eNB) includes a memory and at least one hardware processor communicatively coupled with the memory and configured to: determine to suspend an established radio resource control (RRC) connection with a user equipment (UE), where suspension causes the established RRC connection to be a suspended RRC connection that disables user plane data communications between the UE and the eNB; in response to a determination to suspend the established RRC connection, store RRC connection data related to the established RRC connection; and transmit, to the UE, an RRC connection suspend command instructing the UE to store the RRC connection data and suspend the established RRC connection.
METHOD OF ENHANCED INTERFERENCE MEASUREMENTS FOR CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION (CSI) FEEDBACK
Embodiments of providing enhanced interference measurements for CSI feedback are generally described herein. In some embodiments, CSI-IM resources are used by UE to perform interference measurements. The serving cell determines a hopping pattern for varying a position of the determined CSI-IM resources in subframes transmitted to the served UE. The determined CSI-IM resources and the determined CSI-IM resources hopping pattern are transmitted to the served UE. The serving node transmits a zero-power (ZP) CSI-RS. The serving node receives an interference measurement from the served UE based on CSI-IM and ZP CSI-RS provided to the served UE from the serving cell. Collisions between the CSI-IM of the serving node and CSI-IM of the non-serving nodes are minimized by the determined CSI-IM resources hopping pattern.
Method and apparatus for starting device-to-device operation in wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for starting a device-to-device (D2D) operation in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) supporting proximity services (ProSe) starts a D2D operation if at least one of conditions is satisfied. For example, when the UE detects radio link failure or handover failure, when a radio resource control (RRC) connection re-establishment procedure fails, when any cell is not detected, when neither an acceptable cell or suitable cell is found, when RRC connection release is received, or when the UE enters an idle mode, the UE may start the D2D operation.
Device and method for wireless communication
[Object] To make it possible to prevent a direct connection between unintended wireless communication terminals without distributing identification information of wireless communication terminals. [Solution] There is provided a device including an acquisition unit configured to acquire identification information that is identification information for a direct connection between two wireless communication terminals and is issued by another device that is different from the two wireless communication terminals, and a control unit configured to perform control for the direct connection using the identification information.
WIRELESS CONNECTION SWITCHING METHOD, WIRELESS TERMINAL, AND SYSTEM THEREOF
The present application provides a wireless connection switching method, a wireless terminal, and a system thereof, which are used to automatically switch a wireless connection state. For example: detecting whether a wireless terminal is connected to a bearer device of the wireless terminal; disconnecting a wireless data connection between the wireless terminal and a specified terminal if the wireless terminal is connected to the bearer device; and establishing the wireless data connection between the wireless terminal and the specified terminal if the wireless terminal is disconnected from the bearer device. In this way, it is implemented that a wireless terminal automatically switches a wireless connection state according to a different status of a connection to a bearer device.
Docking station and method to connect to a docking station
A docking station and a method for establishing a wireless connection to a device in which the docking station is configured to use the distance between the device and the docking station in the admission and retention control decision. This effectively prevents the wireless docking session from initiating, or drops an existing session, when the user is determined to be outside of the effective work area as determined by the docking station.
