In some embodiments, a cellular baseband processor communicates wirelessly and reports cellular metrics for both a first cellular RAT and a second cellular RAT. The cellular baseband processor may be configured to tune away, for a time interval, from the first cellular RAT to monitor for communications on the second cellular RAT. In some embodiments, the cellular baseband processor is configured not to report cellular metrics during the time interval to prevent a RAT manager from setting up a connection for voice calls on a WLAN RAT during the time interval. In some embodiments another processing element the RAT manager is configured to ignore cellular metrics from the cellular baseband processor during the interval. This may reduce signal load and power consumption, in some embodiments.

After a communication apparatus establishes a session with another communication apparatus via a first access point, the communication apparatus stores address information of the communication apparatus and the another communication apparatus, identification information of a service, identification information of the session, and status information of the session. When a condition for switching from the first access point to a second access point occurs, the communication apparatus disconnects from the first access point and connects to the second access point. The communication apparatus then establishes a session with the another communication apparatus via the second access point, using the address information of the communication apparatus and the another communication apparatus, the identification information of the service, the identification information of the session, and the status information of the session stored by a storage unit.

METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING OR RECEIVING MESSAGES IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND A DEVICE THEREFOR
20170318532 · 2017-11-02 ·

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting or receiving messages in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: configuring a specific SRB having same configuration as SRB1 without a PDCP entity, and transmitting, using the specific SRB, a first message without applying AS security.

Method and apparatus for terminating transmission of a message in an enhanced random access channel

A method and an apparatus is provided for terminating an enhanced random access channel (E-RACH) message in an E-RACH transmission. Triggers for terminating the E-RACH message are provided. The actions upon termination of the E-RACH messages are provided to release enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) resources while in cell forward access channel (CELL_FACH) state or transition to cell dedicated channel (CELL_DCH) state.

Network access fault reporting

A loss of connection between a wireless access point and a network is reported to a network-based service platform by the wireless access point by automatically establishing wireless contact with a second wireless access point, and transmits a predetermined fault report message to a predetermined network platform address by way of the second wireless access point and the second network interface. Authentication credentials are stored in the access point allowing automatic access to the service platform without user intervention, to allow the report to be generated without user intervention. The message may include data on recent usage of the access point, or may be repeated when a user attempts to use the access point, in order to prioritize the fault reported at the service platform.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING FILE BETWEEN MOBILE TERMINALS

A method and system for sharing a file between mobile terminals is provided. When a first mobile terminal detects an operation of sharing a file with a second mobile terminal, the first mobile terminal establishes a connection with the second mobile terminal by broadcasting an SSID sequence, and transmits a file that needs to be shared to the second mobile terminal. Accordingly, the first mobile terminal can directly share a file with the second mobile terminal by only one operation step, which brings convenience to a user.

METHOD FOR LIMITING USE OF EXCEPTIONAL RESOURCE PERFORMED BY USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND USER EQUIPMENT USING METHOD

The present invention provides a method for the performance of a device-to-device (D2D) operation by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising the steps of: starting to use an exceptional resource; determining whether a condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is satisfied; and when the condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is satisfied, suspending the use of the exceptional resource, wherein the condition for suspending the use of the exceptional resource is a suspension condition in an RRC idle state.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes an operation device and a controller. The operation device receives an instruction to turn off a power supply from a power supply device. when the operation device receives the instruction to turn off the power supply from the power supply device, the controller transmits a request of disconnection of the communication to the external apparatus. Further, the controller turns off the power supply from the power supply device after waiting for a predetermined time period after the transmission of the disconnection request.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING MOBILITY OF USERS IN A NETWORK OF MOVING THINGS AT THE EDGE

Communication network architectures, systems and methods for supporting a network of mobile nodes. As a non-limiting example, various aspects of this disclosure provide communication network architectures, systems, and methods for supporting a dynamically configurable communication network comprising a complex array of both static and moving communication nodes that maintain connectivity support for mobility of end-user devices.
