Method and arrangement for legacy fallback between communication network systems

A method for handling Circuit Switched Fallback from a Packet Switched domain includes receiving an indication that Circuit Switched Fallback is supported from an eNodeB located within the Packet Switched domain. The method also includes registering to a Circuit Switched domain associated with Circuit Switched Fallback by tunneling Circuit Switched Registration information, via the eNodeB, to the Circuit Switched domain, thereby enabling the User Equipment to setup a Circuit Switched call or receive a Circuit Switched page. The method also includes receiving a Circuit Switched specific parameter setting from the eNodeB. The Circuit Switched specific parameter setting includes decoding information to facilitate decoding of transmissions in the Circuit Switched domain. Additionally, the method includes, after receiving the Circuit Switched specific parameter setting, switching from the Packet Switched domain to the Circuit Switched domain and using the decoding information to access the Circuit Switched domain.

Communication system for service control

In a communication system, a service centralization and continuity application server (SCC AS): receives a first SIP message for establishing an IMS centralized service session; receives early session media information; and sends a second SIP message carrying the early session media information to a media gateway control device. The early session media information is carried in the second SIP message in a form of regular session media information, thus the media gateway control device uses an existing circuit switched bearer to transmit early session media to a first user equipment. The existing circuit switched bearer is established under control of the media gateway control device for a session between the first user equipment and a third user equipment. The SCC AS receives an off-hook signal from the second user equipment, and sends the regular session media information to the media gateway control device.

A method and apparatus for handling inter-node connectivity in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a request from a first network node to a second network node to stop aggregating a SCell (Secondary Cell) for a UE (User Equipment); wherein the first network node controls the SCell and the second network node controls PCell (Primary Cell) of the UE. Also, another method and apparatus for handling inter-node connectivity in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a request from a first network node, which controls a first serving cell of a UE (User Equipment), to a second network node, which controls a second serving cell of the UE, to change a data path corresponding to a first type of transmission and/or reception of the UE from a first path to a different path; wherein the first path is via the first network node and used as the data path corresponding to the first type of transmission and/or reception of the UE, and a second path is via the second network node and used as a data path corresponding to a second type of transmission and/or reception of the UE. In addition, an alternative method and apparatus for handling inter-node connectivity in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes transmitting a request from a first network node to a core network node to change a data path corresponding to a first type of transmission and/or reception of a UE (User Equipment) from a first path to a different path; wherein the first path is via the first network node and used as the data path corresponding to the first type and a third type of transmission and/or reception of the UE, a second path is via a second network node and used as a data path corresponding to a second type of transmission and/or reception of the UE, and the request does not indicate to change the data path corresponding to the third type of transmission and/or reception of the UE.
