Ranking device, ranking method, and program
A device, a system, a method, and a program are realized which are capable of predicting the order of the feeling and the preference of a subject to products which are the research objects, for marketing research and others. The images of a plurality of research objects are presented a plurality of times as visual stimuli in order to measure the brain wave. A brain wave data of an event related electrical potential for the research objects which the subject has selected as a target immediately after the stimulus presentation, is processed by a linear discriminant analysis to quantitatively represent with a single index, in order to rank the research objects.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IDENTIFYING NON-PENETRATING BRAIN INJURIES
The present disclosure provides methods for identifying non-penetrating brain injury in a subject, as well as methods for classifying a subject that received a hit to the body that transmitted an impulsive force to the brain as either having a non-penetrating brain injury or not, by analyzing one or more components of frequency-following response (FFR) following administration of an acoustic stimulus to the subject. In addition, the present disclosure provides methods for assessing a subject's recovery from a non-penetrating brain injury. Also disclosed herein are processes and systems for automatically generating acoustic stimuli and processing brain response data to identify non-penetrating brain injuries in subjects.
Smart eye system for Visuomotor dysfunction diagnosis and its operant conditioning
Disclosed herein is a system that uses an eye tracker for diagnosing and facilitating rehabilitation therapy of a patient suffering from disability. The system creates a human machine interface (HMI) that integrates various low cost biosensors and artificial sensors for conducting rehabilitation therapy. The system combines spinal and supra-spinal feedback of the patient with the operant conditioning to facilitate visuomotor balance therapy (VBT), thereby reducing fall risk in disability survivors. The operant conditioning setup for shaping of visuomotor learning to bring about new behavior or to modify a certain aspect of an existing behavior is used for rehabilitation therapy that includes a behaviour response apparatus, a reward delivery module, a stimulus delivery system, and a behaviour control system. The system can also be extended to the patient's home for providing telerehabilitation therapy.
Method of using human physiological responses as inputs to hydrocarbon management decisions
A method of analyzing hydrocarbon-related data is disclosed. Data representative of a hydrocarbon entity is presented. A physiological response of a viewer of the data is sensed. The physiological response is associated with the data. The data and a representation of the associated physiological response is outputted.
Portable monitoring device with hearing aid and EEG monitor
A portable monitoring device comprises a hearing aid having a housing, a microphone (24), an acoustic signal processing means (43), and an acoustic output transducer (33). The portable monitoring device further comprises an EEG monitoring system arranged at least partly in said housing, and comprising a measuring unit (3) having electrodes (12) arranged external to the housing. The EEG monitoring system comprises a processing unit (42) for analyzing the EEG signal for identifying or predicting specific biological incidences, such as a seizure, in said person, decision means for deciding, based on said analyzed EEG signal, when an alarm or information must be provided to said person, and means for providing said alarm or information through said output transducer (33). The invention further provides a method of monitoring an EEG signal of a hearing impaired person.
System And Method For Diagnosis Of Brainstem Disorders
A system and method for detection of a brainstem disorder, such as schizophrenia, by means of brainstem audiometry is disclosed. A subject's (4) responses on the physical properties of sound; frequency, time and amplitude are being detected. Sound stimuli are being presented, via a communication element (2) through a hearing organ (3) to the subject. Elements (7) are attached to the subject (7) for measurement of the subject's electrophysiological brain activity. Simultaneously as the mentioned sound stimuli (1) are presented to the subject (4) a trig signal is sent out from the organ for generation of stimuli (1), via a trig box (5), further to an organ for registration (6) of the electro-physiological brain activity in the subject (4), whereafter mentioned electrophysiological brain activity is stored and imaged, in computer equipment (8) for determination of a brainstem disorder in the subject.
METHODS AND MAGNETIC IMAGING DEVICES TO INVENTORY HUMAN BRAIN CORTICAL FUNCTION
Techniques are described for determining cognitive impairment, an example of which includes accessing a set of epochs of magnetoencephalography (MEG) data of responses of a brain of a test patient to a plurality of auditory stimulus events; processing the set of epochs to identify parameter values one or more of which is based on information from the individual epochs without averaging or otherwise collapsing the epoch data. The parameter values are input into a model that is trained based on the parameters to determine whether the test patient is cognitively impaired.
Population cohort-linked avatar
Avatars, computer program products, devices and systems are described that relate to at least one cohort-linked avatar comprising at least one avatar attribute that is at least partly based on an association of at least one physiologic activity of at least one member of a population cohort with at least one mental state.
LEFT AND RIGHT BRAIN RECOGNITION METHOD AND DEVICE
The present application provides a left and right brain recognition method and device, and relates to the field of wearable devices. The method comprises: in response to that a user listens to an audio content meeting a predetermined condition, acquiring first brain electrical information of a first hemisphere of the user; and recognizing that the first hemisphere is a left brain or a right brain according to the first brain electrical information and reference information. The method and the device provide a left and right brain recognition method, facilitate a device that the user wears to perform automatic setting according to a recognition result, and enhance user experience.
