Fluid mixer with touch-enabled graphical user interface, auto flush-out, management reporting, and logging
A “fluid mixer” device that automates the mixing of multiple fluids into a base liquid and the delivery of the mixed liquid according to user-specified parameters with automatic flush-out, full logging and reporting capabilities. The device is comprised of a plurality of modules, each of which is designed for a different environmental setting: (a) the control module, the module with which the user interfaces, is normally located in a dry area, away from both line voltage electricity and fluids; (b) the power module, which supplies power to all modules, is located near 110V-230V single phase line voltage, and thus contains all of the high-voltage gear and interfaces; and (c) the flow module, the bank of controlled liquid mixers, is located in the wet area and uses only low-voltage direct current in its operation.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING MICROBUBBLES IN A MIXED MULTI-COMPONENT REACTIVE MATERIAL
An apparatus for preparing a liquid material containing microbubbles includes a dispensing nozzle and a first positive displacement gas pump. The dispensing nozzles includes a material mixing channel, a rotary gas diffuser positioned in the material mixing channel, and a rotary mixer positioned in the material mixing channel downstream of the rotary gas diffuser. The rotary gas diffuser and the rotary mixer rotate about a common axis of rotation. The first positive displacement pump has a first gas outlet opening to the material mixing channel, which is directed at an outer circumference of the rotary gas diffuser.
Method, device and packing unit for producing a cosmetic item
A method for producing a preferably cosmetic item. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for producing preferably cosmetic items, and to a packing unit, in particular a capsule (33), for producing preferably cosmetic items. According to the invention, it is provided that the cosmetic ingredients (12) preferably required for production are available to a final consumer in precisely pre-measured units, in order for the final consumer to produce a domestic quantity of the preferably cosmetic item.
Optimizing Drilling Mud Shearing
Viscosity and other properties are determined at desired temperatures in drilling mud and other fluids by using a versatile cavitation device which, operating in the cavitation mode, mixes and heats the fluid to a specified temperature, and, operating in the shear mode, acts as a spindle for application of Couette principles to determine viscosity as a function of shear stress and shear rate. The invention obviates the practice of adjusting rheology of a drilling fluid by passing it through the drill bit. Drilling fluid may be managed by a “straight-through” method to the well, or by placing the cavitation device in a loop which isolates an aliquot of known volume and circulating the fluid through the loop including the cavitation device. A controller may be programmed to manage the viscosity and other properties at various temperatures by controlling the power input and angular rotation of the “spindle” (which has cavities on its cylindrical surface), and feeding viscosity-adjusting agents and other additives to the fluid. Data may be collected from the loop and used in the “straight-through” mode until it is determined that conditions require a new set of data, or the loop may be used continuously. The system may be used with a supplemental viscometer, density meter, and other instruments.
Bioreactor
Disclosed is a bioreactor, especially a plug flow bioreactor, including an agitator running along a longitudinal axis for thoroughly mixing a dry solid biomass that is to be outgassed in a fermentation chamber. In said bioreactor, an agitator shaft is mounted exclusively in two opposite end walls of the fermentation chamber while at least one free end of the agitator is connected to a drive unit outside the fermentation chamber.
Mixer for aftertreatment of exhaust gases
The invention relates to a mixer for a device for selective catalytic reduction of exhaust gases from internal combustion engines. The mixer comprises a structure of mixer elements through which the mixture of exhaust gas and reducing agent is to flow. The mixer elements have an electric current flowing through them for electrical heating due to the electrical resistance thereof. The invention further relates to a device for selective catalytic reaction of exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas pipe leading to a mixer according to the invention and having a reducing agent pipe which is connected to a reservoir for reducing agent and which opens into the exhaust gas pipe in the flow direction upstream of the mixer, and a catalyst in the flow direction downstream of the mixer.
UNIT FOR GRINDING BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
A unit for grinding biological samples, comprising a grinding device including at least two tubes having different volumes, suitable for being mounted on a support of the grinding device, each tube comprising an inner space having a height (h) along the axis of the corresponding tube, and being intended to contain samples to be ground, means for driving the support in a precession movement, the support having an axis the position of which varies by describing a cone, each tube being subjected to a movement (d) defined by the projection, onto the axis of said cone, of the distance between the extreme positions of a same point of the tube during the precession movement.
Stirrer for stabilizing liquid binding unfinished products intended to form ceramic items
A stirrer (1; 100) for stabilizing liquid binding unfinished products intended to form ceramic items comprising a support shaft (2) individuating a longitudinal rotation axis (Y) and contained into a mixing tank (V) of the liquid binding unfinished product, motorization means (3) operatively connected with the support shaft (2) in order to rotate it around the longitudinal axis (Y), and a main operating blade (4), coupled with the support shaft (2) through interconnection means (5) in such a way as to be contained into the mixing tank (V) in order to interfere with the liquid binding unfinished product and cause its continuous mechanical mixing action inside the mixing tank (V) itself when the support shaft (2) rotates around the longitudinal axis (Y). In this case, the stirrer (1) includes a thermoregulation circuit (6), which extends within the support shaft (2) and within the main operating blade (4) and is connected with an external source for supplying a heat transfer fluid crossing the thermoregulation circuit (6) in such a way as to exchange heat with the liquid binding unfinished product within the mixing tank (V), in order to bring the it to a predefined temperature, while the support shaft (2) and the main operating blade (4) integral with it rotate around the longitudinal axis (Y).
