AUTOMATICALLY CREATING A TERRAIN MAPPING DATABASE
A database for mapping off-road terrain of various characteristics in three-dimensional terms, comprising: a plurality of road segment entries, each containing data pertaining to the terrain characteristics of the segment; and a plurality of elbow entries, each containing (x, y, z) coordinates of the elbow and a record for each road segment having the elbow as one of its end points, the record comprising navigation directives for vehicles entering the segment from the elbow.
WEARABLE CARDIOVERTER DEFIBRILLATION (WCD) SYSTEM WITH PROXIMATE PROGRAMMING DEVICE WHICH STORES ECG DATA THAT THE WCD SYSTEM NORMALLY DISCARDS
In embodiments, a wearable medical system (WMS) for an ambulatory patient, which can be a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system, analyzes the patient's ECG signal to generate a detection outcome. The WMS also has an ambulatory user interface that outputs a human-visible indication. A programming device, such as a PC, a tablet, etc., establishes a communication link with the WMS during an in-person session with the patient. The programming device may include a programming screen that reproduces the human-visible indication in real time. An advantage can be that the person programming the WMS need not strain to look also at the ambulatory user interface at the time they are looking at the programming device. Another advantage can be that the patient will recognize that he or she is better protected, and have their confidence in the WMS increased, and therefore better comply with wearing the WMS as required.
System and method for classifier-based atrial fibrillation detection with the aid of a digital computer
A system and method for classifier-based atrial fibrillation detection with the aid of a digital computer are provided. Electrocardiography (ECG) features and annotated patterns of the features are maintained in a database, at least some of the patterns associated with atrial fibrillation. A classifier is trained based on the annotated patterns. A representation of an ECG signal recorded by one or more ambulatory monitors is received. ECG features in the representation falling within each of the temporal windows are detected. The trained classifier is used to identify patterns of the ECG features. At least one matrix with weights for the patterns are generated. A value indicative of whether portions of the representation are associated the patient experiencing atrial fibrillation is calculated. That one or more of the portions are associated with the patient experiencing atrial fibrillation is determined. An action is taken based on one or more of the determinations.
ELECTROCARDIOGRAM MEASUREMENT APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an electrocardiogram measurement apparatus (measurement sensor) which can be used in combination with a smartphone by an individual. The electrocardiogram measurement apparatus according to the present invention comprises: two amplifiers for receiving electrocardiogram signals from a first electrode and a second electrode; one electrode driving unit; a third electrode for receiving an output of the electrode driving unit; an A/D converter connected to an output terminal of each of the two amplifiers and converting analog signals into digital signals; a microcontroller for receiving the digital signals from the A/D converter; and a communication means for transmitting the digital signal, wherein: the microcontroller is supplied with power from a battery; the microcontroller controls the A/D converter and the communication means; and each of the two amplifiers amplifies one electrocardiogram signal so as to simultaneously measure two electrocardiogram signals.
CHARGING STATION FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL MONITORING DEVICE
A charging station for providing power to a physiological monitoring device can include a charging bay and a tray. The charging bay can include a charging port configured to receive power from a power source. The tray can be positioned within and movably mounted relative to the charging bay. The tray can be further configured to secure the physiological monitoring device and move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the tray can be spaced away from the charging port, and, in the second position, the tray can be positioned proximate the charging port, thereby allowing the physiological monitoring device to electrically connect to the charging port.
Disposable biometric patch device
A system and method for health monitoring are disclosed. The system includes a patch device and an electronic module coupled to the patch device. The method includes providing a patch device, coupling an electronic module to the patch device to provide a wearable device, and monitoring health of a user using the wearable device.
HEALTH MONITORING DEVICE THAT INCLUDES A COMPACT OXIMETER
A health monitor that includes a spring, a spacer, a housing that comprises a front panel and an oximeter that includes a window. The spring is mechanically coupled to the housing and comprises a spring top portion. The spring top portion is configured to move between (a) a first position in which a majority of the spring top portion does not exceed the front panel by more than a centimeter, and (b) a second position in which the majority of the spring top portion exceeds the front panel and is oriented to the front panel. The spacer is of millimetric height, surrounds at least a majority of the window and is positioned between the window and the spring top portion.
Wearable computing device
The present disclosure describes a wearable computing device (WCD) in the form of a ring that can be worn on the finger of a human user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING BODILY FUNCTION MEASUREMENTS USING A MOBILE DEVICE
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for obtaining at least one bodily function measurement are presented. A mobile device includes an outer body sized to be portable for user, a processor contained within the outer body, and a plurality of sensors physically coupled to the outer body. The sensors are configured to obtain a first measurement indicative of blood volume and a second measurement indicative of heart electrical activity in response to a user action. A blood pressure measurement is determined based on the first measurement and the second measurement. The sensors also include electrodes where a portion of a user's body positioned between the electrodes completes a circuit and a measurement to provide at least one measure of impedance associated with the user's body. A hydration level measurement is determined based on the measure of impedance.
