Flexible containers

Non-durable self-supporting flexible containers.

Flexible containers and methods of forming the same

A method for sealing and cutting of a flexible material for forming a flexible container comprising a product volume and at least one structural support volume can include feeding at least two flexible material into a sealing apparatus comprising a sealing surface and an opposed anvil surface; contacting a seam region of the at least two flexible material with the sealing surface to form a seal in the seam region and cut the seal to form a seam in a single unit operation. The seal defines one or both of at least a portion of a boundary of the product volume and at least a portion of a boundary of the at least one structural support volume.

Flexible containers and methods of making the same

A method of filling a product volume of a flexible container that includes a product volume and a structural support volume that at least partially extends into the product volume can include filling the product volume with product and applying an external force to the product volume and sealing the product volume to reduce a product receiving volume of the product volume.

Provided herein are storage bags having an opening to an interior thereof formed by pliable front and back panels each comprising outwardly curved upper portions and rectangular lower portions having first and second straight side edges, straight bottom edges and outwardly curved top edges that are sealed together along respective side and bottom edges and means for sealing and opening the bag. The storage bag may comprise first and second seamed edges that are equal in length with the outwardly curved top edges extending therefrom. Alternatively, the storage bag may comprise a first seamed edge that is shorter than the second seamed edge with the outwardly curved top edges extending therefrom.

Method for the production of pouches, and blow-molded pouch

The pouch has a sealable mouth section, a side wall, and a sealed base. The material in the region of the side wall is oriented biaxially via blow molding of an injection-molded preform, and has an average wall thickness of at most 0.2 mm. The shape of the sealed base is intended to permit the article to stand upright without support.

A fluid protection assembly for includes a bag that has a top wall, a bottom wall, a first flap and a peripheral wall extending between the top wall and the bottom wall. The bottom wall may be positioned on a support surface and the bag may insertably receive an object when the first flap is positioned in an open position. The top wall is drawn upwardly and over the object such that the bag envelopes the object and the bag is comprised of a fluid impermeable material. A closure is attached to the bag and the closure closes the first flap. A plurality of first ties is coupled to the top wall. A plurality of second ties is coupled to the top wall and the second ties are tied to the first ties.

Disclosed herein are adapters for use with ordinary lawn and leaf bags. In one example, a foldable, expandable, and reusable adapter is provided. The adapter includes a rectangular base unit that is designed to receive four connector pieces. The four connector pieces are made of a rigid material and may include respective vertical and horizontal creases that allow them to be folded. As such, once assembled, the adapter may be folded for storage and later expanded for use. In use, the adapter is inserted into a lawn or leaf bag and provides a larger opening for the bag as well as prevents the mouth of the bag from closing.

Flexible materials for flexible containers

A flexible material for a flexible container can include a first laminate and a second laminate joined to at least a portion of the first laminate by at least one seal. The first laminate can include a first gas barrier layer disposed between first and second sealable layers, wherein the first and second sealable layers define opposed exterior layers of the first laminate. The second laminate can include a third sealable layer defining an exterior layer of the second laminate, and a second gas barrier layer. The at least one seal joins a portion of the third sealable layer to at least a portion of the second sealable layer.
