EXTRUSION DIE HAVING THERMALLY RESPONSIVE LIP ADJUSTMENT ASSEMBLY
An extrusion die includes a first die body having a first lip, and a second die body having a second lip. A lip adjustment assembly is mounted to the first die body and configured to adjust the position of the first lip relative to the second lip to thereby adjust a thickness of the extrudate that exits the gap. The lip adjustment has translating unit that includes translator, a mounting member coupled to the translator, and a rod coupled to the mounting member so that the translator is fixed with respect to the rod. The mounting member is configured to be accessible from the exposed end to decouple the translator from the rod so as to remove the translator from the lip adjustment assembly.
Method and mould for producing a panel assembly
Mold for producing a panel assembly comprising a panel and a gasket, which gasket is adhered to the panel, and extends along at least a portion of the periphery thereof, the mold comprising a first mold part and a second mold part that are formed such that the panel can been closed thereby forming a closed cavity the inner boundaries of which are formed by a first mold surface, a second mold surface and the periphery of the panel, and wherein the second mold part comprises a resilient lip extending along the periphery, the resilient lip being provided for being displaced by an applicator device to provide access to the closed cavity.
Manufacturing apparatus of rubber member and manufacturing method of rubber member
A manufacturing apparatus of a rubber member includes an extruder that kneads and feeds a rubber material; a mouthpiece that discharges the rubber material supplied from the extruder; a support member that has a support surface opposing the mouthpiece; a rubber collection chamber that is formed between the mouthpiece and the support surface, that collects the rubber material discharged from the mouthpiece, and that has an opening in a front movement direction of the support surface with respect to the mouthpiece; and a shutter that opens and closes the opening. A plate-like rubber member is molded using the rubber material discharged from the mouthpiece onto the support surface by relatively moving the support surface and the mouthpiece.
COMPONENTS FOR BREATHING CIRCUITS
A breathing circuit component includes an inlet, an outlet and an enclosing wall. The enclosing wall defines a gases passageway between the inlet and the outlet. At least a region of the enclosing wall is formed from a breathable material that allows the passage of water vapor without allowing the passage of liquid water or respiratory gases. The breathing circuit component may be the expiratory limb of a breathing circuit.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM HAVING MULTI-CHANNEL NOZZLE
A system is disclosed for use in additively manufacturing a composite structure. The system may include a matrix reservoir, and a fiber guide configured to separately receive a plurality of matrix-wetted reinforcements from the matrix reservoir. The system may also include a die configured to receive the plurality of matrix-wetted reinforcements from the fiber guide and to cause the plurality of matrix-wetted reinforcements to converge into a ribbon. The system may additionally include a cure enhancer configured to cure the matrix in the composite material during discharge of the ribbon from the die, and a support configured to move the die in multiple dimensions during discharge of the ribbon.
System and method for extruding parts having microstructures
This invention is directed to a microstructured filament that can be used to make fibers having an extruded filament having pre-cooled microfeatures in a radial spiral arrangement about a bore though the filament wherein the microfeature has a width in the range of 25 m to 40 m and height in the range of 90 m to 100 m; and, the filament having a post-cooled state having post-cooled microfeatures having physical dimensions smaller than that of the pre-cooled microfeatures. The filament can include microfeatures having a width in the range of 400 nm to 4 m and height in the range of 400 nm to 4 m. The filament and fiber can include physical characteristics selected from the group consisting of: hydrophobicity, self-cleaning, increased hydro-dynamic drag coefficients, decreased or increased aerodynamic drag coefficients, increased friction, reduced friction, optical effects, increased adhesion, decreased adhesion, oleophobicity, tactile effects, anti-blocking and any combination of these.
Microlayer coextrusion for compounding, pelletizing, and masterbatches
The present disclosure generally relates to pelletizing and compounding extrusion die systems. In particular, the present disclosure relates to the cyclical extrusion of materials to generate small sized grain features, generally in the range of micro and nanosized grain features.
Device for processing crop residue into nutritional products
A pressure device has a rifled barrel, a rifled end cap, a section clamped to the barrel, a circular flange welded to a threaded male pipe connection, a plate with holes or a cone, a female cap receiving the plate and aligning the holes to the rifling in the barrel, and the flange threadily engaging the cap, securing the plate. The rifled barrel provides shearing, increased pressure, and higher temperatures upon the passing crop residue. The increased surface area of the rifling grooves increases temperature and pressure between the crop residue and the barrel wall. The rifling, when misaligned, creates a pressure chamber that further breaks down the molecules in the crop residue. The crop residue then enters a popper device. The pressure in the popper device forces the crop residue through the holes of plate or around an encased cone, relieving excess pressure and producing a nutritional animal feed.
Extruder and method for extruding cord reinforced tire components
Provided is an extruder and a method for extruding cord reinforced tire components, wherein the extruder has an extruder head with a die and a cord guide. The die is provided with a cross sectional profile that defines a first cross section of the extrusion material in the die, wherein the cross sectional profile has a profile height. The cord guide is arranged for guiding the cords into the die at a cord entry height. The extruder head is provided with first heating elements. The extruder has a control unit that is operationally connected to the first heating elements for generating an adjustable height temperature gradient in the extrusion material across the profile height to control swelling of the extrusion material relative to the cord entry height from the first cross section to a second cross section after the extrusion material leaves the die.
HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE FORMING DIE
The honeycomb structure forming die includes a first die in which a central region on the side of a kneaded material discharging surface has a convex region projecting toward a downstream side in an extruding direction of a kneaded material, and a ring-shaped second die.
