Display having light-scattering property
A display includes light-scattering regions. Each of the light-scattering regions is provided with linear protrusions and/or recesses having the same longitudinal direction. The light-scattering regions are different from each other in the longitudinal direction.
Secured product with improved readability and method of producing said secured product
A secure product, and a production method, comprising a first reflective layer, a second layer and a third layer including readable information, the first layer being enclosed between the second and the third layers, in which the first and second layers are transparent, at least a first part of the internal surface of the second layer comprises a diffusing microstructure, and the diffusing microstructure is positioned so as to cover a predetermined part of the readable information.
Decorative and/or secure element for homogeneous card construction
A laminate sheet includes a base film formed from a recyclable, biodegradable, degradable, and/or compostable material, a metal or reflective film layer disposed over the base film, and heat resistant layer disposed over the base film.
Multi-layer body
The invention relates to a multi-layer body (10) and a process for the production thereof. The multi-layer body has a first layer (23) with a first surface (231) and a second surface (232) opposite the first surface (231). The first surface (231) of the first layer (23) is defined by a base plane spanned by coordinate axes x and y, wherein a large number of facet faces (50) are molded into the second surface (232) of the first layer (23) in a first area (31). Each of the facet faces (50) is determined by one or more of the parameters F, S, H, P, Ax, Ay and Az, wherein the parameters of the facet faces (50) arranged in the first area (31) are varied pseudorandomly in the first area (31) within a variation range predefined in each case for the first area of surface and wherein a reflective second layer (24) is applied to each of the facet faces.
High refractive index coatings and their use in the protection of surface relief structures
High refractive index coatings having metal oxide particles are disclosed. Dispersions of metal oxide particles in solvent are also disclosed. These find use in the protection of surface relief structures. In some disclosed embodiments, the coatings or dispersions contain UV-curable resins. The coatings and dispersions find application in the field of security devices and documents and tokens incorporating security devices.
Anisotropic magnetic flakes
The invention relates to anisotropic, reflective, magnetic flakes. In a liquid carrier and under influence of an external magnetic field, the flakes attract to one another side-by-side and form ribbons which provide higher reflectivity to a coating and may be used as a security feature for authentication of an object.
COUNTERFEIT PREVENTION STRUCTURE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A counterfeit prevention structure including a concave/convex formation layer having a surface and including a first concave/convex structure in a first portion of the surface and a second concave/convex structure in a second portion of the surface, and a reflective layer formed on the second concave/convex structure in the second portion. The first and second concave/convex structures are formed such that the first concave/convex structure has a depth-to-width ratio greater than a depth-to*width ratio of the second concave/convex structure, and that a light transmittance is higher in the first portion than in the second portion.
System and method for producing an individualized security element
A system (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600) for producing a security element (4), in particular a vignette for a windshield (6) of a means of transport, is specified. This comprises a carrier element (3) with a first and a second surface, wherein a first sub-element (1) of the security element (4) is arranged in a first area (31) of the first surface and a second sub-element (2) of the security element (4) is arranged in a second area (32) of the first surface separated from the first area (31) by a fold edge (33). These sub-elements (1, 2) can be made to overlap with the first sub-element (1) by folding of the carrier element (3) along the fold edge (33) and can be adhered by means of an adhesive (25) arranged on the side of the second sub-element (2) facing away from the carrier element (3). An individualization feature (14) can be attached to a side of the first (1) and/or the second (2) sub-element facing away from the carrier element (3). Furthermore, a method for producing a security element (4) by means of such a system (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600), as well as a security element (4) obtained thereby, is specified.
Security device
A security device comprises a transparent, colored element in a first region of the device and in a surface of which a first optically variable effect generating relief structure is formed. A reflection enhancing layer extends over the first optically variable effect generating relief microstructure and follows the contour of the relief, the reflection enhancing layer also being provided in a second region of the device laterally offset from the first region.
Multilayer Body
A multilayer body includes a transparent first layer. In the transparent first layer, a multiplicity of microlenses arranged in accordance with a microlens grid are impressed in a first region. Furthermore, the multilayer body includes a second layer, which is arranged below the first layer and in a fixed position with respect to the first layer and has a multiplicity of microimages arranged in accordance with a microimage grid and in each case in an at least regional overlap with one of the microlenses of the microlens grid for the purpose of generating a first optically variable information item. The grid pitches of the microimage grid and of the microlens grid in each case in at least one spatial direction are less than 300 m.
