BEARING FOR USE IN SLIDING HEAD RESTRAINT

The present disclosure relates to bearings, guide sleeves and head restraint assemblies for automobiles.

Integrated independent thigh supports

A vehicle seating assembly has a seat having a lower seat and a seatback extending upwardly from the lower seat. The lower seat comprises a cushion frame assembly connected to a vehicle floor and a cushion leg jounce bracket comprising a base and a paddle connected with the cushion frame assembly. The paddle extends upwardly and forwardly to form a vertical gap between a distal end of the paddle and a forward portion of the cushion frame assembly to provide independent and resilient support for an occupant's thighs. A cushion foam assembly is disposed above and is attached to the cushion frame, a forward portion of the cushion foam assembly being supported by the paddle of the cushion leg jounce bracket.

SPEAKER GRILL ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE SEATS
20170267139 · 2017-09-21 ·

The technology described in this document can be embodied in a seat headrest that includes an interior chamber that accommodates an acoustic transducer, and an acoustic channel disposed between the interior chamber and an external opening in the seat headrest. The headrest also includes a soft outer layer disposed around at least a portion of a periphery of the external opening, and a grill mount. The grill mount is disposed in or attached to the outer layer, the grill mount extending, at least in part, around the periphery of the acoustic channel, and configured to engage with a portion of a speaker grill-assembly in a mating configuration.

Controlling Acoustic Output Through Headrest Wings
20170272876 · 2017-09-21 ·

The technology described in this document can be embodied in a method for controlling acoustic output radiating through an adjustable wing of a seat headrest. The method includes receiving, from a sensor disposed in the seat headrest, an input signal indicative of a position of the adjustable wing. The position can be one of multiple positions within an angle range. The method also includes updating, based on the input signal, values for one or more control parameters associated with a transducer that generates the acoustic output radiating through the adjustable wing, and adjusting the transducer in accordance with the position of the adjustable wing using one or more control signals that are generated based on the updated values of the one or more control parameters.

Automatic headrest

The present disclosure provides an automatic headrest including: a headrest cushion configured to couple to a stay rod of a vehicle seat back; an actuation module configured to couple to the stay rod; a cushion bracket configured to couple to a rear surface of the headrest cushion; an actuation link having a plate shape; a motor link, wherein one side of the motor link is configured to couple to the actuation module and the other side of the motor link is configured to extend downward; and a guide link having a plate shape, wherein one side of a top portion of the guide link is configured to couple to the cushion bracket, the other side of the top portion of the guide link is configured to couple to the actuation link, and a bottom portion of the guide link is configured to couple to the motor link.

TRAVEL COMFORT DEVICE PROVIDING HEAD AND ARM SUPPORT
20170253154 · 2017-09-07 ·

A travel comfort device designed to be used when the traveler is at rest or asleep in a seated position in a transportation vehicle, such as an airplane, motor vehicle, train, and the like. The travel comfort device may comprise a seatback mounting component, an arm support component, and a head support component, which are releasably attached to each other and/or the seat.

MULTI-ADJUSTABLE HEAD RESTRAINT

An adjustable head restraint assembly for a seat back of a seat that includes a head supporting structure, a head rest support, and at least two of a height adjustment mechanism, a side angle adjustment mechanism, and a tilt adjustment mechanism that are each electronically powered. The head supporting structure is configured to support an occupant's head. The head rest support supports the head supporting structure. The height adjustment mechanism is configured to change the height of the head supporting structure relative to the head rest support and the seat back. The side angle adjustment mechanism is configured to change the angle of side portions of the head supporting structure relative to a center portion of the head supporting structure. The tilt adjustment mechanism is configured to change a tilt angle of the head supporting structure relative to a tilt supporting structure and the seat back.

Drive for motor-vehicle accessory

A drive for a motor-vehicle accessory has a drive motor, a controller that regulates the drive motor, and a sensor associated with the drive motor and that measures the motor speed of the drive motor and transmits to the controller a signal having a pulse rate corresponding to the motor speed. A pulse-rate modifier between the sensor of the drive motor and the controller serves to modify the pulse rate received from the drive motor in such a way that this rate is within a range of the pulse rate processable by the controller and to transmit a modified value of the pulse rate to the controller.

Integrated sound system

A vehicle seating assembly comprises a seat having a lower seat and a seatback extending upwardly from the lower seat. The seatback comprises a forward facing surface, a rearward facing surface, a headrest mounted on an upper portion of the seatback and received within a headrest cup disposed on the forward facing surface of the seatback, a speaker assembly mounted in the headrest cup, and a resonance cavity formed proximate the headrest cup within which the speaker assembly is received.
