GROWING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Growing systems may include a number of modular growing chambers adapted to be configured in a stacked arrangement with each growing chamber surrounding a corresponding portion of the plant. The grow chambers may be selectively added or removed during plant growth, such that different sections of the growing plant may be influenced differently using aeroponic, hydroponic or other growing techniques. The grow chamber stack may be portable and provided with integrated or independent lifting devices to assist an operator in adding or removing chambers from the stack. Three growing processes may be facilitated using such systems. These include a process for producing assorted product from a single plant for simultaneous harvest, a process for producing an extended harvest of a desired size product from a single plant, and a process for extending the productive life of a plant and provide for multiple, continued, and perpetual harvest.
PLANTING METHOD MAKING USE OF A SUBSTRATE PLUG WITH A PRESS SECTION
A method and an assembly of a pre-shaped substrate plug and a container for planting out plant material, of which the plug includes one or more press sections sideways of an upwardly opening plant insertion recess. The outer wall dimensions of the press sections are larger than inner wall dimensions of corresponding parts of the container, such that during a step of placing the plug in an insertion position into the container, a pressing of the plug into the container needs to be performed for the press sections to be able to fit into the corresponding parts of the container while the press sections compress inwardly in a sideways direction and at least partly decrease the plant insertion recess around a seed or lower plant part which had been placed therein preceding the pressing.
Planter box
A portable planter box especially adapted to be usable either in a commercial or residential environment, providing ease of access and internal irrigation. The device is adapted to be utilized in a minimum amount of space, and to be movable from one space to another. The planter box is uniquely designed to permit stacking and may be collapsed to permit ease of storage and transport to multiple locations.
Plant Feeder
An apparatus includes container having an open top, a lower end portion with a drain opening, and an interior growing space vertically between the open top and the lower end portion. A lid is received over the open top of the container. A plant retainer is supported on the lid, and retains a plant in a growing position in which the stem reaches vertically through the retainer and the roots reach downward from the stem. A plant feeder device is located beneath the retainer to emit water beside the plant. A root trellis reaches across the interior growing space beneath the feeder device. The root trellis has an inner portion aligned vertically with the retainer, an outer portion surrounding the inner portion, and a cross-sectional profile inclined vertically from the inner portion to the outer portion.
Bottomless In-Ground Garden-Plant Watering-Well with Removable Twist-Ring
An in-ground plant container with watering-well that is open at both ends and is functional and decorative. The above-ground portion of this present embodiment has a circular watering-well bowl that is surrounded by a removal-able twist-ring rim that is both functional and decorative. The twist-ring along with several aspects of this embodiment work together to keep the plant container's watering-well bowl above ground-level.
The bottom, below-ground portion, has vertical fins to prevent lateral rotation of plant container from repeated twist-ring removal and re-attachment; and two attached horizontal flanges also help to prevent upward and downward movement.
The non-organic watering-well bowl replaces the organic soil-watering-well. This in-ground plant container with watering-well is for conserving water, and the containment of water contaminated by pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
FUNCTIONAL TREATMENT APPLICATION TO PARTICULATE MATERIALS SUCH AS MULCH OR POTTING SOIL
In a method of coating a particulate material, a particulate material is fed into a mixing chamber. The particulate material is agitated within the mixing chamber and conveyed to a mixing chamber outlet. A coating is directed into the mixing chamber and the flow of the coating is controlled based on the volumetric flow rate of the particulate material into the mixing chamber. The coating includes at least one compound selected from herbicides, insecticides, nutrients, wetting agents, surfactants, fungicides, biologicals, inoculants, and mixtures thereof.
SYSTEMS FOR CULTIVATING PLANTS WITH AERIAL ROOTS
The application provides methods and systems for cultivating plants, more particularly plants with aerial roots. The methods and systems are provided with one or more features which facilitate the cultivation of such plants. More particularly the application provides a system comprising a cultivation tray and vases fitting therein, whereby each of the vases comprise one or more ridges on the inner wall of said vase.
Tapered, vertical, interlocking planter apparatus and method
The apparatus provides a method for assembling a vertically oriented structure for plants and flowers. A planter assembly which accepts soil and plants is attached to a base assembly which supports the planter assembly. The attachment of the planter assembly to the base assembly is via a plurality of rigid panels inserted into slotted cavities on both the planter assembly and the base assembly wherein the panels are aligned and attached uniformly and directly adjacent to the outer surfaces of the planter assembly and the base assembly sides. When upright, the assembled structure descends in width from top to bottom.

The present disclosure provides a method for propagating a crop using meristem excision, micropropagation, plantlet formation, plantlet singulation, plantlet transfer to artificial seeds, and planting artificial seeds. Methods are provided for producing and handling the plantlets and materials used to form artificial seeds. The artificial seeds may be used to store plantlets or may be planted to form a crop.
Culture Medium for the Cultivation of Plants
A culture medium for the cultivation of plants, wherein the culture medium includes a container which is open at the top and which is filled or is arranged to be filled with a growth substrate. The container is made of fibers and/or granules which are interconnected by means of an adhesive, and the growth substrate is a loose material, such as soil or peat.
