A tennis racket includes throats. Each throat includes a fiber reinforced layer and a vibration damper. The vibration damper is surrounded by the fiber reinforced layer. The fiber reinforced layer includes a plurality of reinforcement fibers and a matrix. The reinforcement fibers are typically carbon fibers. The material of the matrix is a resin composition whose base material is an epoxy resin. The vibration damper is formed of a polymer composition. The polymer composition contains a base polymer. The base polymer is preferably a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer or an acrylic elastomer.

CHARACTERIZATION OF A BALL GAME RACKET FRAME

The present invention relates to a method for characterizing a racket head of a ball game racket frame as well as to the representation of a racket head.

CHARACTERIZATION OF THE DEFORMATION PROPERTIES OF A BALL GAME RACKET STRING PATTERN

The present invention relates to a method for characterizing the deformation properties of a string pattern of a ball game racket frame as well as to the representation of a string pattern image of a strung ball game racket frame.

Racket

A grommet of a racket includes a tubular portion. The tubular portion has a through hole through which a string is passed. The through hole has a base-side opening, a side wall, and a tip-side opening. In the tip-side opening, an inner dimension in a direction parallel to a face is larger than an inner dimension in a direction perpendicular to the face. In the tubular portion, the string is in contact with the side wall from the base-side opening to the tip-side opening.

Racket with discontinuous frame

A racket includes a handle to be gripped by a user and a head. The head has a frame defining an open interior having a perimeter. The frame is coupled to a first end of the handle at a first point along the perimeter. The frame is discontinuous and includes a first terminal end point and a second terminal end point defining a gap along the perimeter at a second point which is different than the first point. A biasing member is coupled to the first and second terminal end points so as to span the gap. A plurality of strings traverses the open interior, with a first set of spaced strings being arranged angularly offset from a second set of spaced strings to form a grid-like string pattern.

A device capable of generating superposed shock waves, which is applied in a racket having a racket frame and having a racket string with warp strings and weft strings mutually woven to compose a string bed, and includes: at least one first main body formed as a hard medium, a lateral wall member is convexly formed at one side or two sides thereof, a first string slot having an opening at a top end is formed at an inner side of the lateral wall member or the center of the two lateral wall members, a recess is formed at the bottom end of the first string slot; and at least one soft medium, disposed in the first string slot and allowing the racket string to be fastened. As such, the shock wave can be returned for being backwardly transferred to increase the striking force for a ball member.

System and Method for Multifunctional Racket Performance Training
20230338777 · 2023-10-26 ·

The present invention relates to a system and method of processing sensor data for users to learn about their tennis game, wherein a sensor chip is embedded in a tennis racket shaft/frame and transmits sensor data to a software application installed in an electronic device. In one embodiment, a sensor chip includes 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a pressure sensor to collect sensor data and a wireless transmitter wirelessly transmits the sensor data to the performance tracking software application. The application processes the data and generates graphical and textual representations of at least swing speed, swing type, and stroke number (i.e., count). In some embodiments, comparison with threshold data is performed and recommendations and/or training plans are generated.

Racquet configured with increased flexibility in multiple directions with respect to a longitudinal axis

A racquet including a frame including a head portion, a handle portion, and a throat portion. The head portion is a tubular structure including inner and outer peripheral walls, each having inner and outer surfaces. The head portion of the racquet being formed of a fiber composite material. The fiber composite material includes a plurality of ply arrangements. Each includes a pair of plies defining first and second angles with respect to a composite axis. A section of the outer peripheral wall from the inner surface to the outer surface includes at least three ply arrangements overlaying each other, and the first and second angles of at least two of the at least three ply arrangements being at least 35 degrees. When the racquet is tested under a racquet torsional stability test, the racquet has an angular deflection of less than 5.5 degrees about a longitudinal axis.
