Railcar for transport of steel coils with removable bi-level roof
A railcar for transporting one or more steel coils. In various embodiments, the railcar includes a front truck assembly, a rear truck assembly, a center sill assembly including a center sill operably supported by the front and rear truck assemblies, and first and second side walls supported by and substantially coupled to the center sill assembly such that the first and second side walls are spaced-apart from and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the center sill.
Modular systems and methods for transporting tower assembly of wind turbine
A system and method are used for transporting a plurality of tower sections of a wind turbine on beds of transport devices, such as flat railcars. Supports affix at support locations on beds to accommodate at least one of the tower sections on each of the transport devices. The supports can include bed supports, such as tabs, extending from the beds, and can include cradle supports with slots that engage on the tabs. A circumferential dimension of a cradle is adjusted on each of the supports against which the tower section rests. Each of the tower sections is then supported with at least two of the supports by loading the tower sections on the transport devices. An end of each of the tower sections is then affixed to a flange on at least one of the supports on each of the transport devices.
METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING GOODS IN CONTAINERS IN TWO LAYERS AND A WAGON FOR TRANSPORTING THE CONTAINERS
A method for transporting goods consisting of carrying two layers of containers on a wagon, characterized in that the bottom layer comprises containers without side walls, loading and unloading the goods carried on the bottom layer independently from the goods carried on the top layer, transporting coils in the bottom containers, loading and unloading coils by inserting a coil lifter arm through inner diameter of the coil, wherein the wagon for transporting containers contains bogies and a platform with side walls arranged between said bogies, wherein the height of the side wall extending over the platform in its lowest point does not exceed 60 cm, wherein the wagon has a side wall extending 55-60 cm above the platform containing trapezoid reduced-height sections, wherein the side wall has the height of 20-40 cm and extends 40-45 cm above the platform in said reduced-height sections and contain a top reinforcing member, characterized in that the side wall and the top reinforcing member are linked with connecting members.
Pipe coil skid with side rails and method of use
A pipe coil skid includes a plurality of beams affixably connected together to form a rectangular shaped base and a platform disposed within the base. The platform has a concave upward shape on its upward facing side when the skid sits on a horizontal surface, such that a coil of pipe positioned upon the platform contacts the platform within the base. The pipe coil skid also includes a first side rail coupled to at least one of the plurality of beams. The first side rail is configured to block movement of the coil of pipe beyond a boundary of the rectangular shaped base.
CONFIGURABLE RAILROAD CAR
A configurable railroad car including a plurality of multi-orientation coil/slab supports that are configured to be positioned on, oriented on, and securely attached to the floor of the railroad car in different sets of positions and orientations to enable the railroad car to transport different products such as coils, elongated slabs, a mix of coils and elongated slabs, or other products.
A VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORTING CARGO
A vehicle for transporting cargo has a deck and a group of cradles. Each cradle in the group is pivotable relative to the deck between an extended configuration in which the cradles extend at a transverse angle relative to the deck, and a collapsed configuration in which the cradles are substantially flush with the deck. The vehicle has an actuator adapted to concurrently pivot two or more cradles in the group between the extended configuration and the collapsed configuration.

MODULAR COIL RAILCAR
A modular railcar includes a modular top system that is configured to hold one or more coils of material, and a railcar underframe that supports the modular top system. The modular top system includes a pair of side sills and one or more troughs disposed between the pair of side sills. Each side sill of the pair of side sills extends a longitudinal length of the modular top system. Each trough of the one or more troughs is configured to hold a coil of the one or more coils of material. The underframe includes one or more coupling apparatuses that are configured to detachably engage the modular top system when the modular top system is positioned on top of the underframe.
PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR FLEXIBLE PIPE COILS AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A system includes a coil contacting base. The coil contacting base includes a radially curved outer surface with a radius of curvature less than or equal to a coil radius of curvature of an interior channel of a coil of spoolable pipe, and the coil contacting base includes a length greater than or equal to an axial dimension of the coil. The system also includes a side wall coupled to an inner surface of the coil contacting base. The side wall is configured to block circumferential movement of a coil restraint. The system also includes a passage disposed between the coil contacting base and the side wall. The coil restraint is configured to be disposed in the passage.
MULTI-BUNK RAILCAR FOR TRANSPORT OF METAL COILS
A railcar with a plurality of transverse bunks along the railcar body for transporting metal coils. The railcar including a longitudinally extending frame with first and second opposed ends. The railcar also includes a pair of side walls extending the longitudinal length of the railcar and secured to the frame on opposed sides of the railcar, the side walls having an interior and an exterior surface. Each transverse bunk includes at least one bottom plate and first and second canted plates secured to the end edges of the bottom plate.
