VEHICLE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SYSTEM WITH LIGHT MODULE

A vehicular lighted exterior door handle system includes a lighted exterior door handle assembly and a light module disposed at the door handle assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board and individually operable to emit light. With the door handle assembly mounted at a door of a vehicle, the individual illumination sources are operated responsive to a user input that is actuatable by a driver of the vehicle to activate a turn signal indicator system of the vehicle. With the door handle assembly mounted at the door of the vehicle, and when the illumination sources are operated to emit light responsive to actuation of the user input, an operation sequence of the individual illumination sources is varied between at least a first operation sequence and a second operation sequence based at least in part on movement of the vehicle.

Vehicle exterior door handle system with light module

A vehicular lighted exterior door handle system includes a lighted exterior door handle assembly and a light module disposed at the door handle assembly. The light module includes a circuit board having a plurality of illumination sources disposed thereat. Individual illumination sources of the plurality of illumination sources are electrically operable to emit light. When the individual illumination sources are electrically operated with the lighted exterior door handle assembly mounted at the door of the equipped vehicle, the light module emits light at least outboard away from the door of the equipped vehicle. With the lighted exterior door handle assembly mounted at the door of the equipped vehicle, the light module is operable to indicate a charge level of a battery of the equipped vehicle.

Vehicle exterior rearview mirror system with light module

A vehicular lighted exterior rearview mirror system includes a lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly for mounting at a side of a vehicle. A light module is disposed at the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board. When the at least three illumination sources are individually actuated, light emitted by each individual illumination source is emitted outboard away from the side of the vehicle. When the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a first input, the light module emits light in a first pattern. With the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the side of the vehicle, and when the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a second input, the light module emits light in a second pattern that is different from the first pattern.

LIGHTING DEVICE FOR A REAR-VIEW DEVICE OF A VEHICLE

The disclosure relates to a lighting device for a rear-view device of a vehicle comprising: a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion; at least one light source disposed within the housing; at least one lightguide at least partially disposed within the housing and having a first end and a second end, wherein the at least one light source is located at one of the first end and/or the second end of the at least one lightguide, and wherein the at least one lightguide is configured to transmit light from the first end to the second end of the at least one lightguide, and wherein the at least one lightguide has at least one light receiving surface and at least one light emitting surface; and a reflective element disposed on at least one portion of at least one of the housing and the at least one lightguide for reflecting a portion of light from the at least one lightguide, wherein either the at least one lightguide has a first arm and a second arm connected to the first arm at an angle (P) forming a substantially 7-shaped cross section and defining a recess, or a covering element, which is disposed between the upper portion and the lower portion of the housing to allows the light coming from the at least one lightguide to exit the lighting device, has a first arm and a second arm connected to the first arm at an angle (Q) forming a substantially 7-shaped cross section and defining a recess, and the first arm of the at least one lightguide or the first arm of the covering element extends substantially horizontally when the rear-view device is mounted to the vehicle. The disclosure further relates to a rear-view device with at least one such lighting module and a vehicle with at least one such a rear-view device.
