LIQUID ACCOMMODATING BODY AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A liquid accommodating body is detachably mounted on a mounting portion having a waste liquid flow-out portion for discharging a waste liquid, and a liquid flow-in portion. The liquid accommodating body includes a waste liquid flow-in portion that is coupled to the waste liquid flow-out portion when the liquid accommodating body is mounted on the mounting portion, and a waste liquid accommodating portion configured to accommodate the waste liquid discharged from the waste liquid flow-out portion. Further, the liquid accommodating body includes a liquid flow-out portion that is coupled to the liquid flow-in portion when the liquid accommodating body is mounted on the mounting portion, and an adjusting water accommodating portion configured to accommodate adjusting water.
LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTION DEVICE INCLUDING TWO ABSORPTION LAYERS AND PAIR OF TERMINALS, AND INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
A liquid leakage detection device includes a first absorption layer, a second absorption layer, and a pair of terminals. The first absorption layer absorbs liquid. The second absorption layer is stacked on the first absorption layer, and absorbs the liquid. The pair of terminals are in contact only with the second absorption layer.
PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides a printing apparatus that is capable of obtaining accurately the amount of a waste liquid discharged from a printing unit. The printing apparatus includes a discharge unit that executes a discharge operation to discharge the liquid from the ejection port of the printing unit. The printing apparatus also includes a determination unit that determines filling states of the liquid in a printing apparatus main body and the printing unit and an obtaining unit that obtains, based on the filling states, a waste liquid amount discharged from the ejection port by the discharge operation.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
A base board includes a board and a controller mounted on the board. A controller is configured to receive signals outputted from a first sensor and a second sensor. A recording head, a case, the first sensor, a maintenance unit, a waste liquid container, the second sensor, and the base board are arranged in an internal space of a housing. The base board has a flat surface extending in a first horizontal direction and in a second horizontal direction. A range occupied by the base board in a vertical direction overlaps each of a range occupied by the first sensor in the vertical direction and a range occupied by the second sensor in the vertical direction. The second horizontal direction is perpendicular to the first horizontal direction. The vertical direction is perpendicular to both the first horizontal direction and the second horizontal direction.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND WASTE LIQUID TANK
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a discharging unit configured to be capable of discharging a plurality of kinds of liquids onto a medium, and a waste liquid tank including a storage part configured to store a waste liquid of the liquid. The waste liquid tank includes a first inflow port and a second inflow port from which the waste liquid flows into the storage part, and a restriction portion located between the first inflow port and the second inflow port, and configured to restrict movement of the waste liquid in the storage part.
WASTE LIQUID CONTAINER
A waste liquid container includes an accommodation chamber including an opening that is open upward of the waste liquid container in a mounted state where the waste liquid container is mounted in the mounting portion, the accommodation chamber being configured to accommodate the liquid, and a contact portion provided at a surface that intersect with a bottom surface and an upper surface of the waste liquid container, the contact portion being configured to contact a horizontal plane and set a posture of the accommodation chamber with respect to the horizontal plane in a placement state where the waste liquid container is placed at the horizontal plane with the surface facing downward, wherein in the placement state, an inner surface is in an inclined state where the bottom surface is lower than the upper surface, the inner surface serving as a lower surface of the accommodation chamber.
Print duplexing assembly with removable duplexing device
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure a print duplexing assembly is described. The assembly includes a duplexing device to facilitate printing on both sides of a print media. The assembly also includes a platen coupled to the duplexing device to guide the print media along a feed path as it is being printed on. The platen and the duplexing device are selectively removable from a printing device in which they are installed.
Waste fluid quantity measuring device and printer equipped therewith
A waste fluid quantity measuring device can comprise a waste fluid tank for recovering a waste fluid, a placement platform on which the total mass of the waste fluid tank acts, a motive force portion for moving at least a portion of the placement platform from a first position to a second position, with a constant force. A sensor can measure a position of the placement platform and a measuring portion can move the placement platform and measure a movement time of the placement platform to the second position, based on a measurement result by the sensor. An evaluating portion can evaluate a state of storage of waste fluid of the waste fluid tank based on the movement time measured by the measuring portion and a correspondence of the movement time and the quantity of waste fluid within the waste fluid tank.
INK RECYCLING IN A TEXTILE PRINTER
A method of recycling ink used in non-printing nozzle dispensing operations in an ink jet printer, comprises collecting the ink from the non-printing operation in a collection tray, draining the ink from the collection tray into a closed cell, draining the ink from the closed cell, filtering the ink draining from the closed cell, and adding the ink back to a main ink supply after filtering, the main ink supply containing fresh ink. To maintain the quality of the ink supply the proportion of recycled to fresh ink may be limited to a maximum.
