Heterogeneous catalyst
A heterogeneous catalyst comprising a support and a noble metal, wherein said support comprises silicon, and wherein said catalyst comprises from 0.1 to 40 mol % titanium and from 0.1 to 10 mol % of at least one noble metal.
Induction heating of endothermic reactions
A reactor system for carrying out an endothermic catalytic chemical reaction in a given temperature range upon bringing a reactant into contact with a catalyst material. The reactor system includes a reactor unit arranged to accommodate catalyst material including one or more ferromagnetic macroscopic supports susceptible for induction heating where the one or more ferromagnetic macroscopic supports are ferromagnetic at temperatures up to an upper limit of the given temperature range. The one or more ferromagnetic macroscopic supports are coated with an oxide, and the oxide is impregnated with catalytically active particles. The reactor system moreover includes an induction coil arranged to be powered by a power source supplying alternating current and being positioned so as to generate an alternating magnetic field within the reactor unit upon energization by the power source, whereby the catalyst material is heated to a temperature within the temperature range by the alternating magnetic field.
CATALYSTS FOR CARGEN, METHODS OF PREPARING, AND USES OF SAME
Disclosed is high conversion and high carbon yielding CARGEN catalyst and a method of preparing the same. The catalyst comprises transition metals that may be supported or unsupported. The preparation method involves mixing a metal material with or without a support in a standard ball milling apparatus to produce a fine and homogenous solid mixture of the transition metal oxide and support. The catalyst is used in the CARGEN system.
HYDRODESULFURIZATION CATALYST WITH ACTIVE-PHASE DISTRIBUTION AS A CRUST
Catalyst containing an active phase which contains a group VIB element, at least one group VIII element and phosphorus, and a support containing alumina, the catalyst being characterized in that at least 80% by weight of the group VIB elements, of the group VIII elements and of the phosphorus are distributed in the form of a crust at the periphery of said support, the thickness of said crust being between 100 and 1200 μm, the content of group VIB element being between 1% and 8% by weight relative to the total weight of the catalyst, the content of group VIII element being between 0.5% and 5% by weight relative to the total weight of the catalyst, and the content of phosphorus being between 0.2% and 3% by weight relative to the total weight of the catalyst, and the support having a specific surface area of between 100 m.sup.2/g and 250 m.sup.2/g.
GOLD-BASED CATALYST FOR THE OXIDATIVE ESTERIFICATION OF ALDEHYDES TO OBTAIN CARBOXYLIC ESTERS
Catalysts for oxidative esterification can be used, for example, fro converting (meth)acrolein to methyl (meth)acrylate. The catalysts are especially notable for high mechanical and chemical stability even over very long time periods, including activity and/or selectivity relatively in continuous operation in media having even a small water content.
FERRITE PARTICLES PROVIDED WITH OUTER SHELL STRUCTURE FOR CATALYST SUPPORTING MEDIUM
An object of the present invention is to provide ferrite particles for supporting a catalyst having a small apparent density, various properties are maintained in a controllable state and a specified volume is filled with a small weight, and a catalyst using the ferrite particles for supporting a catalyst. To achieve the object, ferrite particles for supporting a catalyst provided with an outer shell structure containing Ti oxide, a catalyst using the ferrite particles for supporting a catalyst are employed.
NEW SILICON-BASED MATERIAL, THEIR PREPARATION AND APPLICATIONS
The present invention relates to a material comprising (i) an inner part comprising or consisting of bulk silicon, (ii) an outer part comprising or consisting of a silicon-based compound, said silicon-based compound comprising of silicon and a non-metal element, and (iii) clusters comprising or consisting of a transition metal. The present invention relates to preparation and applications of said material.
Exhaust gas purifying catalyst
This exhaust gas purifying catalyst is provided with a substrate and a catalyst layer formed on a surface of the substrate. The catalyst layer contains zeolite particles that support a metal, and a rare earth element-containing compound that contains a rare earth element. The rare earth element-containing compound is added in such an amount that the molar ratio of the rare earth element relative to Si contained in the zeolite is 0.001 to 0.014 in terms of oxides.
Process for regeneration of hydrogenation catalysts
The invention provides a process for regenerating a catalyst used for the ring hydrogenation of an aromatic species, especially an aromatic ester, wherein a gas stream containing a particular amount of oxygen is used for the regeneration.
ELECTRODE CATALYST PRODUCTION SYSTEM AND PRODUCTION METHOD
A washing device includes executors for executing a normal washing step and a reverse washing step before executing a plate opening step and a cake peeling step. The normal washing step is a step for supplying a washing water to a filter chamber, allowing the washing water to pass through a cake, and then discharging the washing water from filtrate discharge outlets. The reverse washing step is a step for supplying a washing water from the filtrate discharge outlet(s) to the filter chamber, allowing the washing water to pass through the cake, and then discharging the washing water from the filtrate discharge outlet(s) which are different from the filtrate discharge outlet(s) from which the washing water is supplied. The thickness of the electrode catalyst precursor-containing cake at the time of the injection step is adjusted to that of a range that has been previously and experimentally determined.
