A system and method for identifying a type of vehicle occupant based on locations of a portable device that include receiving a plurality of communication signals from the portable device and evaluating received signal strength measurements of the plurality of communication signals to determine a tracking pattern that includes a tracked path of the portable device as a user approaches a vehicle, enters the vehicle, and is seated within a particular seat of the vehicle. The system and method also include identifying the user as a driver of the vehicle or a non-driving occupant of the vehicle based on the tracking pattern and controlling at least one vehicle system by executing vehicle settings associated with the driver of the vehicle and the non-driving occupant of the vehicle based on identifying the user as the driver of the vehicle or the non-driving occupant of the vehicle.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF A VEHICULAR CRASH
A system for detecting a vehicular collision (i) receives internal data from at least one internal sensor of a vehicle; (ii) receives external data from at least one external sensor; (iii) determines that a vehicle collision is imminent based upon the received external data; (iv) determines positional information for at least one occupant of a vehicle; and (v) automatically engages an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle system to mitigate at least one of vehicle damage and occupant injury caused by the vehicle collision. As a result, the potential injury to at least one occupant is reduced. The system may also utilize vehicle occupant positional data, and internal and external sensor data to detect potential imminent vehicle collisions, take corrective actions, automatically engage autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle features, and/or generate virtual reconstructions of the vehicle collision.

Decorative Vehicle Glass Device
The present invention relates to a decorative vehicle glass device. The device is comprised of a glass body that can be used as a windshield, window, engine cover, etc. on a vehicle. The glass body is comprised of an internal gas and at least one electrode that produces an alternating current which is transmitted through at least one plasma filament within the glass body. This creates colorful tendrils of light within the glass which resembles the appearance of lightning.

A selectable vehicle profile for an electrified vehicle (EV) may be communicated to a vehicle controller to modify vehicle acceleration, generate simulated engine sounds, customize the look and feel of a vehicle instrument cluster/panel display and/or human-machine interface(s) (HMI) (including gages, menus, displays, colors etc.), control transmission simulated shift schedule and feel, control active suspension/ride control, and similar features so that the EV operates to provide a driving experience similar to a previously profiled vehicle, such as a non-electrified vehicle. Vehicle profiles may be generated by an OEM or after-market supplier based on actual measurements and/or specifications associated with operation of a particular non-electrified vehicle.
