Golf clubs with adjustable lie and loft and methods of manufacturing golf clubs with adjustable lie and loft
Embodiments of golf clubs with adjustable lie and loft and methods of manufacturing golf clubs with adjustable lie and loft are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Golf Club Head with Adjustable Fitting Mechanisms
Embodiments of golf clubs with adjustable loft, lie, head mass and methods of manufacturing golf clubs with adjustable loft, lie, and head mass are generally described herein. Other embodiments can be described and claimed.
Putter with bi-material shaft
A process for manufacturing a putter with a bi-material shaft is disclosed herein. The putter comprises a putter head, the bi-material shaft, a mass member and a grip. The bi-material shaft comprises a body with a tip end and a butt end. The body comprises a metal section extending from the tip end to a connection point, and a composite section extending from the butt end to the connection point. The mass member is positioned within an opening at the butt end of the shaft. Mass from the shaft is transferred to the club head and the mass member in the butt end of the shaft.
Weighting system for putter type golf club
A weight system for a putter type golf club that creates a balance point close to a golfer's hands when the putter is used in a normal manner for execution of a putting stroke. The putter is formed of a putter head, an elongated, constant ¼ inch diameter solid metal shaft; and a weighted, cylindrical adapter attached to an upper section of the elongated shaft between an overlying golf grip and the shaft.
GOLF CLUB WITH AN ADJUSTABLE SHAFT ANGLE AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING SAME
The present invention relates to a golf club with an adjustable shaft angle and a method of adjusting the same. More specifically, the invention provides a golf club head, a rotating mechanism and a shaft. The rotating mechanism comprises a sphere easily rotatable within predetermined limits so that the angle of the shaft may be adjusted to desired values which fall under the restrictions of golfing ruling authorities. A method is also provided so as to adjust the angle of the above-mentioned shaft
GOLF CLUB FITTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF GOLF CLUB FITTING
A golf club fitting apparatus and a method for fitting using the apparatus are provided. The golf club fitting apparatus may be attached to a golf club and provide fitting information including effective lie angle and effective loft angle. The golf club fitting apparatus includes a lower surface that contacts a butt end of a grip, an upper surface opposite the lower surface, and a side surface connecting the upper and lower surfaces. An angle indicator is disposed at a predetermined angle relative to a shaft axis of the golf club so as to rest in a neutral position when the golf club is in a normal address position.
PUTTER-TYPE GOLF CLUB
A coupling for securing a golf shaft to a golf club head includes a first component configured to contact, and engage with, the golf shaft, and a second component bonded to the first component and configured to space the first component from the golf club head. The second component includes a second material having a Young's modulus less than a first material of the first component. In another aspect, a coupling includes a shaft engagement element, and a spacer configured to space the first component from the golf club head so that the golf shaft is above the golf club head in its entirety. The spacer includes a material having a Young's modulus no greater than about 10 Gpa. In another aspect, a kit includes a first coupling and a second coupling with at least one of a structural configuration or a material of a vibration dampening element differing.
Golf shaft
A multi-material golf shaft having a butt portion joined to a tip portion and possessing unique relationships, including rigidity relationships, which provide beneficial performance characteristics.
Putter with replaceable face insert
A golf club head, preferably a putter head, comprising a replaceable face insert is disclosed herein. The golf club head comprises a body with face cavity and a secondary cavity in communication with, and disposed behind, the face cavity, and at least one opening extending through a top or sole portion into the secondary cavity. The replaceable face insert comprises a striking portion and a support structure extending from a rear surface of the striking portion. The support structure is received within the secondary cavity and the striking portion is received within the face cavity, and then a rod or bolt is inserted through the opening and through the support structure to reversibly secure the face insert to the body. A linear bearing may be disposed within the support structure to receive the rod or bolt.
