To reduce an OSC material, while maintaining necessary OSC capacity; and to improve heat resistance and reactivity of a precious metal. Proposed is an exhaust gas purifying catalyst which comprises a first catalyst layer that is formed on the surface of a substrate that is formed of a ceramic or a metal, and a second catalyst layer that is formed on the upper side of the first catalyst layer. The first catalyst layer comprises a precious metal, an OSC material and an alumina, and the OSC material and the alumina are comprised at a mass ratio of OSC material:alumina=1:7 to 1:3. The second catalyst layer comprises a precious metal, an OSC material and an alumina, and the OSC material and the alumina are comprised at a mass ratio of OSC material:alumina=1:1 to 10:0.
Preparation method of catalyst with white carbon black modified by Zr—Nd—O
The present invention discloses a preparation method of a catalyst with white carbon black modified by Zr—Nd—O and use thereof, and belongs to the field of catalyst technologies. In the present invention, an organic solvent evaporation induced self-assembly method is used to load Zr—Nd—O onto white carbon black to obtain a mesoporous Zr—Nd—O/white carbon black catalyst. The mesoporous Zr—Nd—O/white carbon black catalyst in the present invention has high catalytic activity, contains uniformly distributed mesopores with a relatively large average aperture, and has a simple preparation process, etc.
HYDROCRACKING CATALYSTS CONTAINING RARE EARTH CONTAINING POST-MODIFIED USY ZEOLITE, METHOD FOR PREPARING HYDROCRACKING CATALYSTS, AND METHOD FOR HYDROCRACKING HYDROCARBON OIL WITH HYDROCRACKING CATALYSTS
In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a catalyst composition includes a catalyst support and at least one hydrogenative component disposed on the catalyst support. The catalyst support includes at least one USY zeolite having a framework substituted with titanium and zirconium. The framework-substituted USY zeolite comprises at least one rare earth element. Methods of making and using such a catalyst in a hydrocracking process are also disclosed.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF ADIPIC ACID FROM 1,6-HEXANEDIOL
Processes are disclosed for the conversion of 1,6-hexanediol to adipic acid employing a chemocatalytic reaction in which 1,6-hexanediol is reacted with oxygen in the presence of particular heterogeneous catalysts including at least one of platinum or gold. The metals are preferably provided on a support selected from the group of titania, stabilized titania, zirconia, stabilized zirconia, silica or mixtures thereof, most preferably zirconia stabilized with tungsten. The reaction with oxygen is carried out at a temperature from about 100° C. to about 300° C. and at a partial pressure of oxygen from about 50 psig to about 2000 psig.
CATALYST FOR EXOTHERMAL REACTIONS
The invention relates to a molded body which comprises a catalytically active region and a porous coating which lies on the catalytically active region, wherein at least 75 wt. % of the catalytically active material lies in the catalytically active region, and the porosity and average pore diameter of the catalytically active region and the porous coating satisfy the following condition: [Θ.sub.PB.sup.1.5×d.sub.PB×(dKB+150 nm)]/[Θ.sub.KB.sup.1.5×d.sub.KB×(d.sub.PB+150 nm)]<1.
FISCHER-TROPSCH CATALYSTS
The invention relates to the preparation of a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst support and of a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst. A silica comprising support is subjected to hydrothermal treatment. The hydrothermal treatment results in catalysts having improved C.sub.5+ selectivity as compared with catalysts prepared with a non-treated silica comprising support.
Enzyme forming mesoporous assemblies embedded in macroporous scaffolds
A hierarchical catalyst composition comprising a continuous or particulate macroporous scaffold in which is incorporated mesoporous aggregates of magnetic nanoparticles, wherein an enzyme is embedded in mesopores of the mesoporous aggregates of magnetic nanoparticles. Methods for synthesizing the hierarchical catalyst composition are also described. Also described are processes that use the recoverable hierarchical catalyst composition for depolymerizing lignin, remediation of water contaminated with aromatic substances, polymerizing monomers by a free-radical mechanism, epoxidation of alkenes, halogenation of phenols, inhibiting growth and function of microorganisms in a solution, and carbon dioxide conversion to methanol. Further described are methods for increasing the space time yield and/or total turnover number of a liquid-phase chemical reaction that includes magnetic particles to facilitate the chemical reaction, the method comprising subjecting the chemical reaction to a plurality of magnetic fields of selected magnetic strength, relative position in the chemical reaction, and relative motion.
Exhaust gas purification filter
An exhaust gas purification filter that is suitable for arrangement in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and for collecting particulate matter contained in exhaust gas, comprises: exhaust gas inflow passages and exhaust gas outflow passages that are arranged alternately; and porous partitions that separate the exhaust gas inflow passages and the exhaust gas outflow passages from each other. Each of the partitions is divided into a coated zone in which a surface of a partition base is coated with a coating layer having a smaller average pore diameter than an average pore diameter of the partition base and a non-coated zone that is located on a downstream side of the coated zone and in which a surface of the partition base is not coated with the coating layer.
Process for preparing a monolith with multimodal porosity
Process for preparing a porous monolith comprising between 10% and 100% by weight of a semiconductor relative to the total weight of the porous monolith, which process comprises the following steps: a) a first aqueous suspension containing polymer particles is prepared; b) a second aqueous suspension containing particles of least one inorganic semiconductor is prepared; c) the two aqueous suspensions prepared in steps a) and b) are mixed in order to obtain a paste; d) a heat treatment of the paste obtained in step c) is carried out in order to obtain the monolith with multimodal porosity.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
An exhaust gas purification catalyst includes: a first catalyst unit that consists of a hydrogen generating catalyst including a noble metal and an oxide that contains lanthanum, zirconium and an additional element such as neodymium; a second catalyst unit that consists of an oxygen storage/release material and a perovskite oxide disposed in contact with the oxygen storage/release material and represented by the general formula La.sub.xM1.sub.1-xM2O.sub.3-δ, where La is lanthanum, M1 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of barium (Ba), strontium (Sr) and calcium (Ca), M2 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of iron (Fe), cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn), x satisfies 0<x≦1, and δ satisfies 0≦δ≦1; and a holding material that holds the first catalyst unit and the second catalyst unit in a mutually separated state.
