APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATIC LANE CHANGE OF VEHICLE
An apparatus and method for controlling an automatic lane change of a vehicle in consideration of a speed limit are configured to obtain information about the speed limit of a road from map information including information about the speed limit of the road, and calculate a speed at which an automatic lane change function is operable based on the speed limit of the road. As a result, it is possible to control the automatic lane change of the vehicle while automatically complying with laws and/or regulations in consideration of the speed limit of the road.
Hands-free vehicle sensing and applications as well as supervised driving system using brainwave activity
A device that uses brainwave activity to allow a user to perform hands-free tasks is disclosed. For example, the device can include a transparent display, an electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor, and a processing circuitry coupled to the transparent display and the EEG sensor. The EEG sensor can be configured to sense an EEG signal corresponding to brain activity associated with a user of the device. The processing circuitry can be configured to display a visual stimulus on the transparent display and generate a control signal associated with a task of the user based on the EEG signal. Therefore, the user can use his brainwave activity to perform hands-free tasks.
COGNITIVE LOAD DRIVING ASSISTANT
In one embodiment, a cognitive load driving assistant increases driving safety based on cognitive loads. In operation, the cognitive load driving assistant computes a current cognitive load of a driver based on sensor data. If the current cognitive load exceeds a threshold cognitive load, then the cognitive load driving assistant modifies the driving environment to reduce the cognitive load required to perform the primary driving task and/secondary task(s), such as texting via a cellular phone. The cognitive load driving assistant may modify the driving environment indirectly via sensory feedback to the driver or directly through reducing the complexity of the primary driving task and/or secondary tasks. In particular, if the driver is exhibiting elevated cognitive loads typically associated with distracted driving, then the cognitive load driving assistant modifies the driving environment to allow the driver to devote appropriate mental resources to the primary driving task, thereby increasing driving safety.
Method for controlling autonomous vehicle
A method for controlling an autonomous vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle control method, which adjusts a seat installed in a vehicle, a first display positioned in front of the seat and facing the seat, and a second display positioned in front of the first display and facing the seat, includes: detecting the face of a passenger sitting in the seat by a camera installed in the vehicle; estimating the face height from the floor surface of the vehicle; if the estimated face height is lower than a predetermined level, setting a display region on the first display, and, if the estimated face height is higher than the predetermined level, setting the display region on at least part of the second display; and displaying images in the set display region. One or more among an autonomous vehicle, user terminal, and server according to the present invention may be associated with an artificial intelligence module, a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, etc.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING MEDIA PLAY
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a system for controlling media play comprising: a control target recognition unit configured to recognize target medium that is to be controlled by the user, among mediums that are played using a vehicle display, a control command generation unit configured to generate a control command according to a result of recognizing a user's request for the target medium; and a medium control unit configured to control the target medium according to the control command.
Systems and methods for augmented reality in a vehicle
Systems and methods are provided herein for presenting information in a vehicle. In one example, a method includes determining a route from a source location to a destination location, obtaining one or more features of the route, augmenting a map of the route with the one or more features to generate an augmented map, and displaying the augmented map on a windshield of the vehicle.
Vehicle driver feedback device
The disclosure relates generally to an in-vehicle feedback system, and more particularly, to an in-vehicle device with a display or graphical interface that collects driving data and provides feedback based on the driving data. The system may comprise an in-vehicle device that includes a graphical user interface and a processor and a data collection device wirelessly connected to the in-vehicle device. The in-vehicle device may be configured to receive vehicle telematics data from the data collection device and the processor may process the telematics data in real time and cause the telematics data to be displayed on the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface may include a speed display and an acceleration display.
LOW-SPEED MANEUVER ASSISTING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Maneuver assisting system and method are provided. The system includes at least one processor configured to process operations of the system; one or more memories for storing instructions; a communication unit for communicating between components of the system, and between the system and the vehicle and/or a user equipment; a Surrounding View Monitoring (SVM) unit comprising a plurality of sensors for providing a plurality of vehicle-related information; a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) configured for a driver of the vehicle to interact with the system; a display unit configured to display the HMI; a motion planning unit configured to generate a trajectory for the vehicle to follow; and a motion control unit configured to control the automated maneuvers of the vehicle. In particular, the HMI is configured to be implemented in the user equipment in order for the driver to remotely operate the system using the user equipment.
Vehicle with display device
A vehicle (10) for a driver (14) of the vehicle (10) and a display device (16) are provided. The display device (16) includes a projection surface (18) extending in the horizontal and vertical direction and a projector (20) that is configured so as to project a projection (24) onto the projection surface (18). The projection surface (18) is curved in the horizontal direction and surrounds the driver (14) in the horizontal direction by at least one hundred degrees. A method for displaying a projection (24) on a projection surface (18) for a driver (14) of a vehicle (10) is also provided. The method includes: d) determining a viewing direction and/or head orientation (26) of the driver (14) towards the projection surface (18); and f) projecting the projection (24) onto the projection surface (18) in the viewing direction and/or head orientation (26) of the driver (14).
LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS, AND INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM AND HEAD-UP DISPLAY APPARATUS USING THE SAME
