HANDS-FREE DEVICE, HANDS-FREE SYSTEM, AND DATA TRANSFER METHOD

A hands-free device enables a hands-free call by being wirelessly connected to a mobile phone. The hands-free device incudes a hardware processor configured to: perform a control related to data transfer using a transfer protocol for implementing transfer of history data including incoming call history data and outgoing call history data, and phone book data stored in the mobile phone when the mobile phone is in a wireless connection area; receive the history data and the phone book data from the mobile phone through communication using the transfer protocol; and store the history data and the phone book data that are received. The hardware processor is configured to perform the control to transfer the history data prior to the phone book data.

PROVIDING A COMMUNICATIONS CHANNEL BETWEEN INSTANCES OF AUTOMATED ASSISTANTS

Implementations relate to interactions, over a wireless communication modality, between an automated assistant of an automobile computer system, and separate client device(s). In some of those implementations, the client device(s) can be paired with the automobile computer system, and the client device(s) and the automobile computer system can include separate instances of an automated assistant, which can be associated with different user accounts. In some additional or alternative implementations, particular actions to be performed by a local application of a client device can be advanced via user interaction with the automobile automated assistant, despite a counterpart to the local application not being installed directly on automobile computer system. For example, despite an automobile computer system not having a third-party messaging application installed, the automobile automated assistant can access requested actions to be performed by the third-party messaging application in order to further a requested action. The automobile computer system can transmit, via the wireless communication modality, content to cause the third-party application to further the requested action.

IN-VEHICLE DEVICE TO CONNECT TO INFORMATION TERMINAL AND IN-VEHICLE SYSTEM

A communication interface can connect to an information terminal. When detecting the connection between the communication interface and the information terminal, a verification interface verifies the security status of the information terminal. When there is no problem in the security status of the information terminal verified by the verification interface, a display displays an image based on an image signal received by the communication interface from the information terminal. The operation interface accepts an operation on the image displayed by the display. The communication interface transmits an operation signal responsive to the operation accepted by the operation interface to the information terminal, and then receives an image signal as a result of processing by the information terminal in accordance with the operation signal from the information terminal.

VEHICLE-MOUNTED APPARATUS CONNECTED TO INFORMATION TERMINAL AND VEHICLE MOUNTED SYSTEM

A content acquisition interface acquires a content. An information acquisition interface acquires traveling condition information on a vehicle. A control interface causes a display interface to display the content when the traveling condition information acquired by the information acquisition interface indicates an automatic driving level equal to or higher than a threshold value or causes the display interface to display information on traveling-based restriction when the traveling condition information acquired by the information acquisition interface does not indicate an automatic driving level equal to or higher than the threshold value.

CONTENT ADJUSTMENT BASED ON VEHICLE MOTION AND EYE GAZE

A display apparatus and a mobile phone for content adjustment based on motion of a vehicle and an eye gaze of an occupant is provided. The display apparatus includes a display screen, a motion sensor, and an image capturing device. The display screen displays content. The display apparatus controls the motion sensor to capture a motion signal associated with the display apparatus. The display apparatus controls the image capturing device to capture an image of the occupant in the vehicle. The display apparatus determines a region of the eye gaze of the occupant on the display screen based on the captured image. The determined region on the display screen includes a portion of the displayed content. The display apparatus adjusts a movement of the portion of the displayed content in response to the captured motion signal being higher than a predefined threshold.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO RESTRICT DEVICE ACCESS IN VEHICLES

A vehicle safety system includes at least one detector positioned to monitor at least a portion of an interior of a vehicle and a processor/communication system configured to receive inputs from the at least one detector and to communicate with brought-in devices located within the vehicle. The processor/communication system determines a location of the brought-in device based on visible/IR signals generated by the brought-in device and detected by the at least one detector, wherein the processor/communication system communicates restrictions/permissions to the brought-in device based on the determined location.

Method and system for configuring selection of contextual dashboards

An electronic device may have multiple users and multiple customized user interfaces for each user resulting in a large number of user customized UI dashboard configurations. However, defining these user customized UI dashboard configurations is performed by each user such that addition and/or replacement of software applications requires users to reconfigure customized UI dashboards. Similarly, organization generated dashboards must be configured on each user device. It would be beneficial for such user customized UI dashboard configurations to be updateable in response to information provided during new software installation, software upgrades, etc. or for UI dashboard configurations to be adjusted absent any such update/upgrade. It would also be beneficial for context rules to be adaptable based upon learned behavior or external adjustments just as it would be beneficial for the context rule engine to automatically identify new potential rules as a result of current and previous behavior.
