Lead vehicle braking warning system
A lead vehicle braking warning system includes a speed sensor, a detector, a display and an electronic controller. The speed sensor measures current speed of a host vehicle. The detector detects current speed of a lead vehicle relative to the speed of the host vehicle. The display has a braking condition display area configured to display each of a plurality of braking conditions of the lead vehicle for the operator of the host vehicle. The electronic controller is in electronic communication with the speed sensor, the detector and the display. The electronic controller determines whether or not the lead vehicle is currently decelerating and determine which one of a plurality of braking conditions is currently being experienced by the lead vehicle and display information identifying the current one of the plurality of braking conditions of the lead vehicle within the braking condition display area of the display.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The present disclosure provides a head-up display that has a first lighting unit to display first information on a windshield. The first lighting unit includes a first lighting source that emits light for the windshield as the first information and a first cylindrical casing that accommodates the first lighting source therein. The head-up display further has a second lighting unit to display second information on the windshield. The second lighting unit includes a second lighting source that emits light for the windshield as the second information. The head-up display further has a package disposed under the windshield. The first and second lighting units are installed on the package. The second lighting unit is installed on the package independently from the first lighting unit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSISTING A DRIVER OF A ROAD VEHICLE
The disclosure is related to a method and a system for assisting a driver of a road vehicle. A data processing unit receives data representing at least a relative position of the road vehicle, outputs, through a display device and/or an interior lighting device, a visual alert when the data processing unit determines that the data fulfill a first condition, and outputs, through a sound-emitting device, an audible alert when the data processing unit determines that the data fulfill a second condition after fulfilling the first condition.
INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM, MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING AN INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM OF A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION
A mode of transportation, an infotainment system, and a device for operating an infotainment system of a mode of transportation having a finger strip extending in a linear or curved manner for haptically guiding a finger of a user, a detection unit for detecting swipe gestures carried out on the finger strip, an analyzing unit for processing detected swipe gestures, and a linear light outlet extending at least approximately completely along the finger strip. The device acknowledges a user gesture by a light signal emitted from the light outlet in response to a user gesture detected by the detection unit.
LUMINOUS SIGNALING GLAZING UNIT, VEHICLE INCORPORATING SAME AND MANUFACTURE
A vehicle luminous signaling glazing unit forming a front windshield, includes a first glazing pane, forming the exterior glazing pane, with first and second main faces F1, F2; a lamination interlayer made of a polymeric material of thickness e1 of at most 1.8 mm; and a second glazing pane, forming the interior glazing pane, with third and fourth main faces F3, F4, the face F2 and the face F3 being the internal faces of the laminated glazing unit; and a set of diodes on a front face of a PCB board, the assembly being of thickness et2≦e1, each diode emitting in the direction of the interior glass, and each diode having an edge face. For each of the diodes, the lamination interlayer comprises a through-aperture encircling the edge face of the diode, and the lamination interlayer is between face F3 and the front face of the PCB board.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME
A display apparatus, a vehicle including the same, includes a sensor unit configured to acquire vehicle periphery information, and an interface unit configured to acquire vehicle state information. The display apparatus also includes a display unit configured to display a first indicator indicating a target steering direction, a third indicator indicating a current steering state, and a second indicator displayed at a position between the first indicator and the third indicator. The display apparatus also includes a processor configured to determine the target steering direction based on the vehicle state information and the vehicle periphery information.
Steering grip light bar systems
Various implementations include a light bar system for a steering wheel of a vehicle that includes a high intensity light source, a light diffusing layer, and an outer lens. For example, in certain implementations, the light diffusing layer is disposed between a plurality of high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an outer lens, and the light diffusing layer causes the light from the LEDs to appear as a continuous stream of light across a length of the lens and provides sufficiently bright lighting to warn or communicate with the driver in various ambient lighting conditions. In certain implementations, the outer lens is colored to blend in with the rest of the steering wheel when the LEDs are not activated.
Vehicle having a lighting device with an elongate lighting unit
The present invention relates to a vehicle (1), particularly a motor vehicle, with at least one illuminating device having a longitudinally shaped illuminating fixture for creating a light strip along a defined line of the illuminating fixture, wherein a first section (2, 2′) of the illuminating fixture is arranged on the interior (3) of the vehicle (1) and a second section (4, 4′) of the illuminating fixture is arranged on the exterior (5) of the vehicle, the illuminating device is set up so as to create a similar light strip along a line of the first (2, 2′) and of the second section (4, 4′) of the illuminating fixture, and the light of the light strip created by the first section (2, 2′) of the illuminating fixture is radiated such that it is visible for an occupant located at a definable position on the interior of the vehicle (1), and the light of the light strip created by the second section (4, 4′) of the illuminating fixture is radiated such that it is visible from a definable position relative to and outside of the vehicle (1).
INFORMATION PROVIDING APPARATUS
An information providing apparatus in a vehicle coordinates with a first light emitter including light-emitting elements arranged in a linear form including at least one line on a compartment side of a door of the vehicle, and a second light emitter projecting light onto a projection target member in a forward visual field of a driver of the vehicle. The information providing apparatus repeatedly acquires status information including surroundings status indicating status of surroundings of the vehicle, and executes control to the first light emitter and second light emitter based on the status information. The control makes the first light emitter and second light emitter provide light emission in a light emission mode associated with acquired surroundings status indicated by the status information.
System and method for determining a vehicle battery status
A battery indicator system for a vehicle. In one embodiment, the battery indicator system includes a power port for the vehicle, the power port having a socket and battery monitor in electrical communication with a power source on a vehicle. The battery monitor is operable in a status mode in which it indicates or communicates to an indicator at least one of the state of charge and the state of health of the power source on the vehicle while a device is being charged or powered via the power port. The power port can include an integrated indicator, such as one or more lighting elements. The power source can provide power to the device to charge and/or power the device and provides power to the battery monitor so that a viewer of the port can easily monitor the status of the charge of the power source itself (versus the charging status of the device) via the power port to ensure the power source is not inadvertently drained. In one embodiment, the battery monitor can be mounted to the power source separate from the power port, and communicate at least one of the state of charge and state of health information for display on an indicator.
