Driving system for an automated drive with a steering wheel display for displaying the distance to an end point of the automated drive, and method for displaying the distance
A driving system for an automated drive for a motor vehicle includes a steering wheel display with a lighting strip structure. The lighting strip structure of the steering wheel display is luminous in a defined lighting color for a duration which can be modified according to the actuation. The driving system is designed to control the steering wheel display such that the lighting strip structure is luminous in the lighting color over a starting length during the automated drive. Upon approaching an end of the automated drive lying ahead, the driving system determines that the vehicle has approached an end point of the automated drive lying ahead in such a manner that a specified approach condition has been satisfied. In response thereto, the steering wheel display is actuated such that the lighting strip structure is luminous in the lighting color with a successively decreasing length starting from the starting length as the distance to the end point of the automated drive decreases successively in order to prepare the driver to completely or at least partly take over control of the vehicle again.
Color selection for ambient lighting of a vehicle
A device for controlling ambient lighting of a vehicle includes a light element in a vehicle interior, a touch-sensitive display unit, and a control unit. The light element emits light in one of a plurality of colors that can be generated by the light element. The display unit displays a plurality of colors of a predefined color spectrum simultaneously in a color scale, and detects a location of a user input made by touching the display unit. Via the detected location, the user input is assigned to an associated color displayed in the color scale and information about the color assigned to the user input is transmitted to the control unit, which controls the light element for emitting light in the color assigned to the user input. The light element and display unit have the same color space, such that the color associated with the user input, displayed on the display unit are the same.
ILLUMINATED STITCHING THAT PROVIDES VEHICLE STATUS
An illuminated stitching assembly for a vehicle interior, including: a diffuser; a light source; an outer layer secured to the diffuser; and stitches located on the outer layer, the stitches being illuminated by the light source, the light source being operably coupled to a controller, the controller being configured to operate the light source, wherein the diffuser is configured to be inserted into a cavity of a substrate layer.
Device and method for controlling an interior lighting system of a vehicle
A device for controlling an interior lighting system of a vehicle to produce ambient lighting and/or reading lighting involves the interior lighting system having an array of a plurality of light sources. The device includes a control unit, by means of which the light sources of the array can be individually controlled in order to produce the ambient lighting and/or the reading lighting, and an input unit that can be connected to the control unit. The input unit has a touch-sensitive screen for inputting a current set of control information for the control unit. The control unit controls the light sources on the basis of the current set of control information. Furthermore, the input unit, on the basis of the current set of control information, displays associated ambient lighting and/or reading lighting for an illuminable region in the vehicle interior on the screen.
Light emitting unit for conveyance
It is intended to cause a light emitter to properly emit light for notifying an occupant of a movement direction of an object approaching a conveyance. A vehicle lighting device includes sensors (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) configured to detect an approaching object approaching a vehicle, light emitters (5) attached to the vehicle, and a control device (2) configured to control the light emitter (5) when the sensor (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) has detected the approaching object. The control device (2) controls the light emitter (5) such that a light emitting spot of the light emitter (5) moves along a direction corresponding to a movement direction of the approaching object.
Display device for a vehicle
An object of the present invention is to provide a display device for a vehicle which brings a relation between a linear display section of a display panel placed at a dashboard and a linear lighting placed at the dashboard. A display device for a vehicle includes a display panel and a linear lighting placed at a dashboard of an automobile, a linear lighting placed on a lining of a door on a driver seat side, and a linear lighting placed on a lining of a door on a passenger seat side. The display panel is a panel with liquid crystal on its full range, and includes a linear display section which is continuous with an end of the linear lighting. The linear lighting and the linear display section are capable of linked light emission.
Light bar assemblies for a steering wheel
Light bar assemblies configured to be mounted to a rim of a steering wheel of a vehicle are disclosed. The light bar assemblies can include components of a driver monitoring system. The light bar assembly includes two shells defining or surrounding the rim and a wrapping surrounding the two shells. A portion of the wrapping is tucked into a slot disposed between the two shells forming a slit. A lens comprises a visible light transmissive portion and an IR light transmissive portion.
STEERING WHEEL INDICATING PADDLE FOR DISPLAYING POWER ROTATING SPEED OF AUTOMOBILE
The present invention discloses a steering wheel indicating paddle for displaying a power rotating speed of an automobile. The paddle comprises an emitting panel connected with an OBD port of the automobile, a receiving panel mounted on an R paddle or an L paddle of the automobile, a first lamp panel mounted on another paddle and a second lamp panel integrated to the receiving panel. The emitting panel comprises an OBD signal access circuit, a first master control chip, a first power supply circuit and a wireless sending module. The receiving panel comprises a second master control chip, a second power supply circuit and a wireless sending module. According to the present invention, the OBD signal access circuit is connected with the OBD port of the automobile, so that it acquires a rotating speed condition of an engine.
Steering wheel assembly with covered light source
An illumination system for a steering wheel assembly of a vehicle including a housing coupled to a rim of the steering wheel assembly. At least one visible light source is disposed adjacent the housing and emitting visible light through an opening in the housing. A lens is provided covering the opening in the housing such that an inner surface of the lens is disposed adjacent the opening in the housing. A cover material covers the outer surface of the lens and at least a portion of the rim, and includes translucent and/or transparent portions such that the lens is not visible through the cover material. The visible light from the visible light source passes through the transparent and/or translucent portions of the cover material.
