JOYSTICK FOR VEHICLE
A control system includes a joystick and a computer. The joystick includes a joystick body, a cover hingedly coupled to the joystick body and movable between an open position and a closed position, and an input located on the joystick body. The input is exposed by the cover when the cover is in the open position and concealed by the cover when the cover is in the closed position. The computer is programmed to enter a first mode in response to the cover moving from the open position to the closed position, to enter a second mode in response to both the cover moving from the closed position to the open position and the input being activated, and to remain in a same of the first and second modes in response to the cover moving from the closed position to the open position without the input being activated.
Tactile confirmation for touch screen systems
In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a touch screen system is provided that includes a housing, a display screen, one or more capacitive sensors, and one or more force sensors. The display screen is mounted on the housing. The one or more capacitive sensors are coupled to the display screen, and are configured to generate capacitive sensing data pertaining to possible inputs from a user of the touch screen system. The one or more force sensors are configured to generate force sensing data pertaining to the possible inputs for use in confirming the possible inputs from the capacitive sensing data.
VEHICLE CONTROL APPARATUS
A vehicle control apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an operation screen including a contact sensor and remotely instructs a vehicle to move. Based on an operation performed on the operation screen, an instruction to cause the vehicle to move is output, and in a case in which touches are detected on a plurality of locations on the operation screen while the operation is performed on the operation screen, the instruction to cause the vehicle to move is stopped.

A vehicle input device includes a touch sensor provided in a grip portion of a steering wheel, a holding position determiner configured to determine whether a user is holding the grip portion and determine a holding position at which the user is holding the grip portion based on an input signal from the touch sensor, an operation area setting unit configured to set an operation area of the touch sensor at a position adjacent to a thumb and an index finger of a user's hand based on the holding position, and an operation detector configured to detect an operation by a finger of the user to the operation area of the touch sensor.

An operation determination unit (21) determines whether or not a rotational operation or a decision operation has been performed on an operation device (11), on a basis of at least either a set of contact positions of multiple protrusions (11a) or a set of pressing forces of the multiple protrusions (11a) detected by a touch panel (12). A rotation amount storing unit (22) stores, when it is determined by the operation determination unit (21) that the rotational operation has been performed, information of a rotation amount due to the rotational operation. A control unit (23) controls, when it is determined by the operation determination unit (21) that the decision operation has been performed, a control target device by using information of the rotation amount stored in the rotation amount storing unit (22).
Controller, control method, and input apparatus
A controller according to one aspect of an embodiment includes: a position detecting unit; an operation detecting unit; a vibration controlling unit; and a correction unit. The position detecting unit detects a touch position on an operation surface. The operation detecting unit detects a touch operation on the operation surface. The vibration controlling unit controls and causes one or more vibration elements to vibrate the operation surface. The correction unit corrects, on the basis of the touch position on the operation surface, at least one of detection of the touch operation performed by the operation detecting unit and vibration of the operation surface caused by the vibration controlling unit.

According to at least one embodiment, a display device for a vehicle includes: a display module configured to be installed in the vehicle and configured to display a GUI (Graphical User Interface); and a processor configured to change a touch area corresponding to the GUI according to a motion of the vehicle.
