Display device with a transparent pixel matrix for displaying selectable graphic objects and motor vehicle and operating method for the display device
A transparent pixel matrix, a screening layer, and a control circuit are included in a display apparatus. The control circuit displays a graphic object on the pixel matrix. The screening layer includes individually switchable segments arranged behind the pixel matrix and the segments are switchable with respect to their transparency between a minimum value and a maximum value. The control circuit selects the graphic object based on an input by the user. The control circuit signals the graphic object is selected by operating a first segment among the segments arranged behind the selected graphic object as a selection segment, with the minimum value of transparency or with the maximum value of transparency, and by operating a second segment among the segments as a background segment in a complementary fashion with respect to the selection segment, with the maximum value of transparency or the minimum value of transparency.
OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE, STEERING WHEEL, DASHBOARD, CENTER CONSOLE OR ARMREST FOR A VEHICLE WITH AN OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE WITH AN OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE
An operator control device for a vehicle may have a rotatable base body, an electronic unit, and a rotary unit. The rotatable base body may have a first operator control section for setting at least one first vehicle function which is assigned to the first operator control section, and a second operator control section for setting at least one second vehicle function which is assigned to the second operator control section. The electronic unit may be designed to make available a first contact signal which represents manual contact with or approaching of the first operator control section, and a second contact signal which represents manual contact with or approaching of the second operator control section. The rotary unit may permit a rotational movement of the base body.
FINGER STRIP AND USE OF SAID FINGER STRIP
The present disclosure relates to an infotainment system, to a locomotion vehicle, and to a user interface. The user interface may comprise: an input device for detecting swipe gestures of a user guided by a structure in respect of two dimensions, called “finger strip” in the following, a display device, and an evaluating unit. The evaluating unit may be configured to evaluate swipe gestures detected by means of the finger strip for substantially continuously variable adjustment to an output variable and to evaluate tap inputs detected by means of the finger strip for selection and/or definition of favorites.
METHOD OF INTERACTION FROM THE STEERING WHEEL BETWEEN A USER AND AN ONBOARD SYSTEM EMBEDDED IN A VEHICLE
Disclosed is a method for automotive vehicle including a steering wheel, an instrument cluster, the steering wheel including sensors which are arranged on the rim and configured to detect the presence of fingers (5) of a hand (4) of the driver in contact with the rim (25), situated one after the other in the circumferential direction, the method including the following steps: a) defining first and second zones of activation on the rim of the steering wheel, b) defining first and second interaction entities in the digital display zone, which are situated in positional correspondence with the activation zones, c) detecting a movement of fingers including at least one closing or gripping of a hand on an activation zone, d) undertaking an action in conjunction with the first interaction entity.
Application Display Continuing Method and Device
A method is provided and applied to a terminal device. The terminal device is connected to an in-vehicle device and a first application and at least one second application run on the terminal device. The method includes: sending, by the first application, a first broadcast to the at least one second application, so that the at least one second application sends a second broadcast based on the first broadcast; receiving a second broadcast sent by the at least one second application, where the second broadcast includes first data information of the second application; generating, based on the first data information, a card corresponding to the second application, and displaying the card on the in-vehicle device; and when a user taps the card corresponding to the second application, displaying, on the in-vehicle device based on the first data information of the second application, content of the second application.
INFORMATION-ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR OPERATION THEREOF
An information entertainment system for a motor vehicle, includes a display unit for displaying at least one function, which can be activated or is activated by a user, and/or a piece of content of the information entertainment system to an occupant of the motor vehicle. The system also includes a control unit, for controlling the display unit and the function, having an interface for the information technological coupling a portable additional device to the control unit. The control unit supplements the function displayed on the display unit with a switching function after the coupling of the additional device and, upon activation of the switching function, to display a function of the additional device using the display unit. At least the switching function can be represented as a superordinate function covering other pieces of content displayed on the display unit to simplify integration of a third-party information entertainment system into a motor vehicle.
VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME
A vehicle may include a display displaying a character input user interface to select at least one character among a selected character type; a touch input sensor detecting a touch; and a controller changing the selected character type based on a distance between two touch positions detected at the same time.
Input device using a plurality of magnets, and steering wheel and vehicle having the same
A vehicle includes: an input device, and a controller configured to receive a signal from the input device and generate a predetermined control signal corresponding to the received signal. The input device includes: a rotation member provided with a first magnet disposed on a portion thereof; a fixation member provided with a plurality of second magnets disposed on a surface thereof; and a detection member generating a signal including information related to a relative position of the rotation member against the fixation member based on a variation of a magnetic field intensity. The second magnets have a different magnetic field intensity from each other according to a distribution position of the second magnets. The variation of magnetic field intensity is generated between the first magnet and the second magnets due to a position change of the first magnet when the rotation member is rotated.
VEHICLE EQUIPMENT CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD OF SEARCHING FOR CONTROL CONTENT
A control device to control operations of a plurality of pieces of equipment used in a vehicle includes a search processing unit and an operation target guessing unit. The search processing unit searches, using a search term inputted by a user, for control contents associated with the search term among a plurality of control contents executable by the plurality of pieces of equipment used in the vehicle. The operation target guessing unit guesses, based on the state of the screen currently displayed on a display device, operation target equipment that the user intends to operate. The control device then sorts search results obtained by the searching processing unit in descending order of the degree of relevance to the operation target equipment and has the sorted search results displayed.
System and method of tracking with associated sensory feedback
The aspects of the present disclosure provide a tracking system with associated sensory feedback and method for activating a component and adjusting the component's mode of operation within a vehicle with a tracking system. Sensory feedback may be provided based on the user's gaze or input detected by the tracking system—and/or in response to the change in the component's mode of operation. The system and method may further include the ability to control and adjust the component through gesture-based control.
