SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING STATUS INFORMATION TO AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
A railroad communication system (100, 200) includes a wayside control device (130) in communication with one or more railroad crossing warning device(s) (140, 145) located at a railroad grade crossing (125), wherein the one or more railroad crossing warning device(s) (140, 145) are activated in response to a signal of the wayside control device (130). An autonomous motor vehicle (150) approaches the railroad grade crossing (125), wherein the wayside control device (130) is configured to communicate information in response to an activation of the one or more railroad crossing warning device(s) (140, 145), and wherein the autonomous motor vehicle (150) is configured to receive the information.
System and method for controlling a level crossing of a railway track
A system controls a level crossing of a railway track installation. The railway track installation includes at least one track. The system includes at least two magnetometers associated with the at least one track and placed at corners of a crossing area between the at least one track and a road. The system also includes a level crossing control unit configured for receiving data from the magnetometers. Each magnetometer is arranged to detect a respective magnetic field vector of the earth's magnetic field and to send data representative of the magnetic field vector to the control unit. The control unit is configured to elaborate the data to detect changes in the magnetic field vectors due to the presence of a train in the crossing area and to control the level crossing as a function of the detected changes.
Method and system for sharing of information pertinent at a railway crossing
An information sharing system derives from a roadway vehicles management system position-related data of a roadway vehicle along a road and determines a roadway vehicle timing at or during which the roadway vehicle is estimated to arrive at or cross a railway crossing. The information sharing system further derives from a railway vehicles management system position-related data of a railway vehicle along the railway and determines a railway vehicle timing at or during which the railway vehicle is estimated to arrive at or have passed the railway crossing. The information sharing system determines, based on comparing a roadway vehicle time window to a railway vehicle time window, that the roadway vehicle time window and the railway vehicle time window at least partly overlap. The information sharing system provides information associated with the overlap to the roadway vehicle or the railway vehicle.
Crossing warning equipment mount
A cover plate for a junction box may include a plate portion configured to cover an opening of the junction box. The cover plate may include a mast portion configured to couple with equipment configured to be mounted on a mast. The cover plate may include an offset portion coupling the mast portion with a front side of the plate portion.

Model adaptation for autonomous trucking in right of way
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for monitoring a dedicated roadway the runs in parallel to a railroad. In some implementations, a system includes a central server, an interface, and sensors. The interface receives data from a railroad system that manages the railroad parallel to the dedicated roadway. The sensors are positioned in a fixed location relative to the dedicated roadway. Each sensor can detect vehicles in a first field of view on the dedicated roadway. For each detected vehicle, each sensor can generate sensor data based on the detected vehicle in the dedicated roadway and the data received at the interface. Each sensor can generate observational data and instruct the detected vehicle to switch to an enhanced processing mode. Each sensor can determine an action for the detected vehicle to take based on the generated observational data.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING OF INFORMATION PERTINENT AT A RAILWAY CROSSING

System and method for aggregation display and analysis of rail vehicle event information
This disclosure relates to a rail vehicle event analysis system configured to facilitate analysis of rail vehicle event records that correspond to rail vehicle events. The system may be configured to visually present a user with information related to operation of a rail vehicle. The user may review the information related to operation of the rail vehicle in real time, responsive to the rail vehicle being involved in a rail vehicle event, and/or at other times. The system may be configured to visually present information based on output signals generated by one or more sensors associated with the rail vehicle. The system may synchronize the presented information such that information from individual sensors may be compared and/or viewed at the same time by the user. The system may be configured to receive observations made by the user based on the user's review of the presented visual information.
Traffic control system
A traffic control system (TCS) is provided comprising at least one traffic control unit, TCU, (9) equipped with a proximity enabled traffic user equipment, PETUE, (1) and adapted to control traffic of mobile entities wherein the proximity enabled traffic user equipment, PETUE, (1) of said traffic control unit, TCU, (9) is configured to transmit traffic information by sending at least one discovery message, DM, directly via a user equipment to user equipment link to at least one other proximity enabled traffic user equipment, PETUE, of a mobile entity, wherein said discovery message, DM, includes a proximity service, ProSe, application identifier comprising a string of traffic labels, TLs, representing hierarchical traffic information levels.
