Items such as loaves of bread are typically held for transport in a plastic crate. Often such crates are stacked on one another in a factory-bakery, a warehouse, a freight vehicle or a retail outlet. It can be problematic move stacked crates as lifting machinery is often not able to adequately hold on to them. If they are not held securely then crates may drop from the stack, which is inconvenient, not to mention a safety hazard. An object of a preferred form of the invention to address this problem by way of a crate lifter 1 comprising a main support mast 3, a carriage 8 engaged with the mast and rollers 6, 7 that enable the lifter to be moved. The carriage has clamps 9 adapted to move laterally with respect to the mast 3 to grip one or more crates 2 so that the crate(s) can be moved by the carriage up and down the mast. The carriage has a keeper 14 arranged such that it is caused to swing in response to the clamps 9 engaging the crate 2, or the lowest crate to be moved if there is more than one, to bring a ledge 14b of the keeper 14 into engagement with that crate to prevent it dropping free from the carriage.

A cart generally includes a body, a wheel assembly, first and second handles, and a scoop. The body defines an interior usable for holding materials. The body includes a forward portion and a rearward portion. The wheel assembly includes at least one axle and first and second wheels. Each of the first and second handles includes a handle portion to allow a user to move the cart and a leg portion for contacting a support surface. The scoop is rotatable relative to the body between a plurality of positions including at least a forward position and a rearward position. In the forward position, the scoop is adjacent the forward portion of the body, whereby the scoop increases carrying capacity of the cart. In the rearward position, the scoop is disposed at least partially over and/or adjacent the rearward portion of the body.

A pneumatic cylinder actuated pallet jack assembly for mechanically lifting and lower a pallet includes a pallet jack, a plurality of pneumatic cylinders, and a compressor. The forks of the pallet jack are slidably coupled to a frame of the pallet jack. Each of a pair of rear rollers that is coupled to a respective fork distal from the frame and a roller module that is slidably coupled to the frame are selectively vertically positionable. A tow bar is pivotally coupled to the frame proximate to the roller module. Pneumatic cylinders are operationally coupled singly to each of the forks, the pair of rear rollers, and to the roller module, and the compressor. The compressor is positioned to selectively actuate respective pneumatic cylinders to size a gap between the forks and to raise the forks and the frame to lift a load that is positioned on the pallet.

Pallet truck

A pallet truck includes a front frame having at least one fork and being connected to a drive unit through a lift cylinder, a plug-in battery assembly, a hydraulic supply system and a plug-in controller assembly connected to the front frame, and an operator handle connected to the drive unit. The pallet truck may include a rear frame having caster wheel assemblies that are mounted from above, and where the rear frame is connected to the drive unit.

OPERATING HEAD FOR AN INDUSTRIAL TRUCK

An operating head for an industrial truck comprises a support extending along a longitudinal axis and comprising opposing carrier sections. One or more gripping sections are positioned opposite each of the opposing carrier sections, wherein the opposing carrier sections and gripping sections at least partially define a handle opening. The operating head further comprises at least one operating element positioned on at least one of the opposing carrier sections. The at least one operating element comprises a cylindrical body extending along a cylindrical body axis and defining a bulge extending radially from the cylindrical body along a bulge axis. The bulge extends towards the one or more gripping sections when the at least one operating element is in a rest position and the at least one operating element is pivotable about the cylindrical body axis by exerting a force against the bulge.

Delivery systems for ramps or stairs

A pallet lift includes a base and a deck extending forward of the base. Load wheels support the deck. A platform above the deck is pivotable relative to the base. The platform has an upper support surface for supporting objects thereon. The platform may be pivoted as the pallet lift travels on an inclined surface, such as a truck ramp, in order to keep the platform relatively level relative to gravity to increase stability.

MATERIAL TRANSPORT CART

A material transport cart includes a cart body, a material support body coupled to the cart body, a wheel coupled to the cart body, a motor operable to drive the wheel, and a powered lift assembly. The powered lift assembly is coupled to the cart body and to the material support body. The powered lift assembly is operable to lift the material support body relative to the cart body. A removable battery is electrically coupled to and operable to supply power to both the motor and the powered lift assembly.
