The electronic golf flagstick includes a compartment assembly arranged between the first end and the second end, the compartment assembly comprising: at least one sensor; a processor coupled to memory; and power source configured to provide power to the sensor, processor and memory. The at least one sensor may be configured to sense an object on a ground surface approaching the golf flagstick. The processor coupled to memory may be configured to store the sensed information from the sensor.

The spheres are hollow, and each sphere has a plurality of orifices positioned therein. A respective sphere can be positioned on the surface distal from a respective cup. A user then is positioned to strike the sphere with a golf club in an attempt to propel the sphere into a respective cup.

The flag members are defined by a linear upper edge, a curved lower edge configured to retain golf clubs, and defined by colors and patterns for identifying individual player golf balls. The anchor end of stem couples to an anchor housing that forms channels to receive golf clubs and cigars. The anchor housing contains an interior weight member that creates a center of mass, which maintains the stem upright. The upright position enhances visibility of flag members.

A golf ball retrieval device couples to a shaft of the flag stick while it is upstanding in a cup on a golf green. The device includes a support member at a lower end of a stem and a handle at an upper end of the stem. When attached to the flag stick, the support member is seated in the cup with the stem projecting upwardly to the handle. When a golfer holes out with his or her ball in the cup along with the flag stick, the ball is supported on the support member in the cup. To retrieve the ball from the cup, and without touching the flag stick, the golfer hooks the putter under the handle of the device and raises the handle and support member connected thereto along the shaft of the flag stick until the ball exits the cup on the support member. The golfer may allow the ball to roll off of the support member and back onto the green or grab the ball from the support member.
