The electronic controller is configured to control the drive control system to supply propulsive power at a predetermined output that is lower than that which is commanded by the drive command device for so long as an output of the drive control system is beneath a designated threshold, maintaining vehicle speed lower than a commanded vehicle speed. The electronic controller is further configured to control the drive control system to ramp up the propulsive power supply toward that which is commanded by the drive command device when the output of the drive control system is above the designated threshold, causing the vehicle speed to approach a commanded vehicle speed. The vehicle may include a EH drive system such as a hydrostatic drive system.

QUICK RESPONSE STEERING SYSTEM

A quick response steering system with a steering device that steers a vehicle. An electro-hydraulic steering circuit couples to the steering device. The electro-hydraulic steering circuit includes a load sensing pump that pumps hydraulic fluid to a steering cylinder. The load sensing pump increases or decreases output from the load sensing pump in response to a pressure differential between a first fluid line and a second fluid line. A precharge valve diverts hydraulic fluid from the first fluid line to the second fluid line. A controller couples to the steering device and the precharge valve. The controller opens the precharge valve in response to input from the steering device to change a first pressure of the first fluid line to increase an output of the load sensing pump.

Hydraulic steering device with enhanced fault prevention

A hydraulic steering device which hydraulically connects a steering cylinder to a supply system. The supply system is hydraulically operatively connectable to the steering cylinder via a steering assembly for the purposes of forming a main flow connection, and the supply system is furthermore hydraulically operatively connectable to the steering cylinder via a flow regulating valve arrangement, such that a secondary flow connection can be formed which bypasses the main flow connection and via which at least one first working chamber and one second working chamber of the steering cylinder can be supplied independently of one another with hydraulic fluid.
