STEERING SYSTEM
A steering system includes a controller configured to: execute a normal control to control a front-wheel steering device or a rear-wheel steering device based on a target steering angle when a steering-related frequency is determined to fall outside a resonance frequency band; and execute a limiting control when the steering-related frequency is determined to fall within the resonance frequency band. In the limiting control, the controller controls the front-wheel or rear-wheel steering device such that (i) an actual steering angle is constant at a predetermined value, (ii) an absolute value of the actual steering angle gradually decreases from a specific value, (iii) a frequency of the actual steering angle falls outside the resonance frequency band, or (iv) the absolute value of the actual steering angle is less than an absolute value of the latest value of a target extreme value that is an extreme value of the target steering angle.
LEVELING SYSTEM FOR LIFT DEVICE
A chassis for a lift device includes a base, an arm coupled to the base and configured to support a tractive element, and a plate extending from the arm at an upward angle. The arm includes a steering actuator interface configured to support an end of a steering actuator for the tractive element. The plate is configured to extend past the steering actuator.
Independent Corner Module
An embodiment independent corner module includes a knuckle fastened to a wheel, a steering frame fastened to the knuckle, the steering frame having an upper end configured to be fixed to a vehicle body and to rotate together with the knuckle to apply a steering angle to the wheel, a steering drive unit fastened to the steering frame, and a body guide rail fastened to the steering drive unit and configured to be disposed on the vehicle body, wherein, in response to reception of a driving force of the steering drive unit, the steering drive unit is configured to be rotated along the body guide rail and the steering frame is configured to be rotated simultaneously along with the rotation of the steering drive unit.
Method for operation and industrial truck
A method for operating an industrial truck having three wheels. During longitudinal travel, two steerable wheels run in succession in a first lane, and a third wheel runs in a second lane. The third wheel initially runs on an inside during a turning in while cornering until the industrial truck, during a further turning in, transitions into a revolving motion. The method includes reducing a drive power as of a specific steering angle during the turning in prior to the revolving motion, and disengaging or reversing a direction of a drive rotation of the third wheel after a delay time which begins with the reducing of the drive power, or, continuously reducing the drive power from the specific steering angle during the further turning in, and disengaging or reversing the direction of rotation of the third wheel when transitioning into the revolving motion.
MULTIPURPOSE AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE
In one embodiment, a vehicle system includes a chassis and a vehicle bed coupled to the chassis. The vehicle bed includes an attachment system configured to fasten a detachable mission platform onto the vehicle bed. The vehicle system further includes a plurality of wheels coupled to the chassis and configured to carry the chassis over a ground. The vehicle system further includes a control system. The control system includes a processor configured to determine a mission type for the detachable mission platform. The processor is also configured to load a set of instructions specific to the mission type to a memory of the control system. The processor is also configured to instruct the detachable mission platform to actuate at least one actuator based on the set of instructions.
Traveling mode switching mechanism of four-wheel independent steering type vehicle
A technology of mechanically classifying a switching operation between a traveling mode and a special moving mode is provided to prevent a mode switching misoperation. A traveling mode switching mechanism of a four-wheel independent steering type vehicle includes a shift gate which is disposed by forming a moving path of a shift lever, and grouping a traveling mode and a special moving mode. Additionally, a mode switching differentiation devices differentiates a mode switching operation of a driver by configuring so that an operation of the shift lever switched between the traveling mode and the special moving mode is physically different from an operation of the shift lever switched between the traveling modes or between the special moving modes.
Method for steering a vehicle
A corresponding vehicle includes two steerable axles VA1 and HA1 each with an angle sensor, wherein a rear axle HA1 in an all-wheel mode is synchronously steered with the front axle VA1 in the opposite direction, this being designated as a 4×4 steering system. The vehicle further includes a control device for setting the steering angle of the axles based on the data provided by angle sensors.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO PERFORM A TANK TURN
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to perform a tank turn. An example apparatus includes programmable circuitry to determine that a first brake associated with a first wheel is engaged and a second brake associated with a second wheel is engaged, the first wheel located on an end of a first axle of a vehicle, the second wheel located on an end of a second axle of the vehicle, the end of the first axle opposite to the end of the second axle, cause a first suspension to decrease a first suspension load of the first wheel, cause a second suspension to decrease a second suspension load of the second wheel, cause a first motor to drive the first axle in a first direction, and cause a second motor to drive the second axle in a second direction, the second direction different from the first direction.
Heavy road vehicle with normal steering and crab steering
The invention relates to a heavy goods vehicle in which the steering system (12) comprises, in addition to a normal steering mode steering device (26) that transfers steering power purely mechanically by means of connecting rods (34) from axle to axle, a crab steering mode steering device (28) that also transfers steering power purely mechanically by means of connecting rods (46) from axle to axle. The individual wheel assemblies (14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24) can be connected by means of coupling devices (56) either to the normal steering mode steering device (26) or to the crab steering mode steering device (28).
Offset extendable axle with wheels on common centerline
An extendable axle with wheels on a common centerline preferably includes a base housing, a left axle device, a right axle device, a left extension cylinder and a right extension cylinder. The left axle device slides into a left side of the base housing and the right axle device slides into a right side of the base housing. The left axle device preferably includes a base tube, a steering knuckle, a drive motor and a steering cylinder. The steering knuckle is pivotally engaged with an end of the base tube. The drive motor is retained on the steering knuckle. The steering cylinder pivots the steering knuckle. The right axle device is the left axle device rotated 180 degrees. The left extension cylinder extends the left axle device. The right extension cylinder extends the right axle device. The left drive motor and the right drive motor are on the same centerline.
