STEERING WHEEL AND DAMPER UNIT THEREOF
A steering wheel includes a damper unit and an airbag cover configured to move, when a horn is activated, in a horn operation direction with respect to an airbag housing. The damper unit includes a damper made of insulating material coupled to the airbag housing, a switch assembly coupled to the airbag housing in an insulating state via the damper and coupled to the steering wheel to be continuously energized, and a spring. The spring is coupled to the airbag housing to be continuously energized and selectively electrically conducted with the switch assembly depending on whether the airbag cover is in contact with the switch assembly due to elastic deformation when the airbag cover moves in the horn operation direction.
Steering wheel damper and alternate power storage device
A damper for a steering wheel is provided. The damper may include a housing attached to the steering wheel and an energy-storage medium supported by the housing.
Vibration-damping structure for vehicle steering wheel, and vehicle steering wheel device
An airbag module that serves as a damper mass mounted to the steering wheel surrounding the center of steering of the steering wheel via vibration damping parts, the vehicle steering wheel structure damping steering wheel vibration, wherein the vibration damping parts includes at least a first vibration damping part positioned upward from the center of steering and a second vibration damping part positioned downward from the center of steering with reference to a neutral position of the steering wheel and the spring constant or elastic modulus of the first vibration damping part is set lower than the spring constant or elastic modulus of the second vibration damping part.
Damping system for steering wheel
A damping system includes: a fixed member; an airbag device including a back holder and disposed on a rear side of the fixed member; an elastic member mounted in a mounting hole of the back holder; and a horn switch mechanism including a support member supported on the fixed member on a front side of the back holder, and a slider disposed between the support member and the elastic member. The airbag device functions as a damper mass of a dynamic damper, and the elastic member functions as a spring thereof. The horn switch mechanism includes an extended portion extending forwards. An engaged portion is formed at a circumferential edge portion of the mounting hole to extend rearwards. The elastic member includes an engaging portion opened in a front surface thereof. The elastic member is sandwiched by the engaged portion fitted in the engaging portion and the extended portion.
ANTI-VIBRATION DRIVER ASSIST
A vehicle anti-vibration device includes a vibration sensor programmed to detect vibrations and output a vibration signal representing the vibrations detected. The device further includes a motor that vibrates in accordance with a vibration dampening signal, a communication interface programmed to wirelessly transmit the vibration signal to a remote device, and a processor programmed to process the vibration signal and generate the vibration dampening signal to dampen the vibrations detected.
DAMPING OF AN OSCILLATION OF A SUPERIMPOSED STEERING SYSTEM
A method for damping an oscillation of a superimposed steering system of a motor vehicle in which a sensor of the superimposed steering system detects an actual steering angle of a motor of the superimposed steering system and a control device of the superimposed steering system determines an oscillation of the superimposed steering system as a periodic change of the detected actual steering angle and, in the case of a determined oscillation, carries out a measure for damping the oscillation.
Structure of steering wheel for vehicle
A vehicle steering wheel structure which, while having a configuration in which small damper masses are arranged in a distributed manner, can secure the same highly efficient vibration reducing effect as when a large damper mass is arranged, without increasing the required installation space and the cost. The vehicle steering wheel structure includes a plurality of damper masses arranged so as to be distributed in an inner region of a rim portion of a steering wheel; a connection member that connects these damper masses; and a damper module disposed in the inner region of the rim portion.
Active system for damping motion of a steering wheel
A system 300 for controlling vibratory motion in a vehicle steering wheel 20 prone to oscillate in a given direction due to extraneous inputs at one or more frequencies. The system 300 has a steering wheel 20 of the type exhibiting a vibratory motion along a defined axis at one or more frequencies, at least one sensor for sensing the acceleration of the steering wheel 20 along the defined axis and an active control mechanism responsive to the output of the at least one sensor. The sensor is an accelerometer having a movable first mass 70 and a solenoid coil 56 which when activated moves the mass 70 in a direction opposite to the motion of the steering wheel 20 and at the frequency of motion of the steering wheel 20.
Steering wheel structure
A steering wheel structure includes: a steering wheel main body supported by a steering shaft; a horn block to which a horn operation unit and an air-bag module are attached; and a connection unit that connects the horn block to the steering wheel main body such that the horn block can be elastically displaced with respect to the steering wheel main body, wherein the connection unit includes a support pin having one end supported by any one of the horn block and the steering wheel main body, a cylinder component having an outer circumferential part attached to the other of the horn block and the steering wheel main body, and an elastic component arranged between the cylinder component and the support pin, and wherein the elastic component is fixed to the cylinder component.
