Power steering assembly having a spring retainer for a compensation mechanism
A bearing adjustment assembly is provided. The assembly includes a worm engaged with a worm gear. The assembly also includes a worm bearing located proximate an end of the worm. The assembly further includes a spring disposed in a spring bore defined by the housing. The assembly yet further includes a compensation mechanism engaging the worm bearing and the spring, the compensation mechanism being adjustable to bias the worm bearing to maintain or adjust a gear mesh load between the worm gear and the worm, wherein compression of the spring adjusts the compensation mechanism biasing of the worm bearing. The assembly also includes a spring retainer comprising a pin retainer portion disposed within an interior of the spring, the pin retainer portion extending from a main body portion of the spring retainer.
STEERING SYSTEM
A steering system includes a steering control, a steering assist assembly, and two anti-rotation arms. The steering assist assembly includes a housing includes two hollow cylinders formed therein. A piston is slidably arranged within the first cylinder and an axial rod is slidably arranged within the second cylinder. First and second tie rods are connected to first and second axial ends of the axial rod. A shaft operably connected to the steering control is configured to engage with the axial rod such that rotation of the shaft causes axial movement of the axial rod. The axial movement of the axial rod causes axial movement of the first and second tie rods so as to turn the wheels of the vehicle. The anti-rotation arms are operably connected to the piston and to the axial rod and are configured to prevent rotation of the piston and the axial rod.
RACK BUSH AND STEERING MECHANISM
Provided is a rack bush capable of reducing an effect on the feeling of a steering operation. A rack bush (1) comprises: a rack bush 1 housed in a cylindrical housing (4), which supports a load applied to a rack bar (5) while allowing movement of the rack bar (5) in the direction of the axis (O) and can be freely expanded and contracted in the radial direction; and elastic rings (3) mounted on the bush body (2). The bush body (2) has mounting grooves (28), which are formed in the circumferential direction on an outer peripheral surface (22) for mounting the elastic ring (3). An axis (P) of the mounting groove (28) are shifted from the axis (O) of the bush body (2). By this arrangement, there are formed an elastic ring protruding part (10), where the elastic rings (3) protrude greatly from the outer peripheral surface (22) of the bush body (2), and an elastic ring embedded part (11), where the elastic rings (3) are embedded in the outer peripheral surface (22) of the bush body (2).
TURNING DEVICE
A turning device includes: a motor configured to generate a drive force for independently steering a steered wheel; a speed reducer connected to a rotary shaft body of the motor; and a brake configured to suppress transfer of torque between the motor and the speed reducer.
Worm wheel of electric power steering apparatus
A worm wheel of an electric power steering apparatus includes: an inner wheel coupled to a steering shaft; an outer wheel disposed outside an outer circumference of the inner wheel and having a plurality of teeth on an outer circumferential surface to be engaged with a worm of a worm shaft; and a damper interposed between the inner wheel and the outer wheel.
DAMPING STOPPER
A damping stopper is interposed between two members axially displaced relative to each other and is provided with an elastic body which, when the interval between the two members decreases, is axially compressed by the two members and expands radially outward. In the elastic body, a second member suppressing the expansion is located in one axial region and attached to the outer periphery. When axially compressed by the two members, the elastic body expands while receiving resistance by the second member. The expanding elastic body contacts the side wall of one of the two members.
Rack-assist-type electric power steering apparatus
A rack-assist-type electric power steering apparatus may include: a motor pulley provided on or coupled to a shaft of a motor; a nut pulley provided on or coupled to an outer circumferential surface of a ball nut coupled to a rack bar via a ball; a belt coupled to the motor pulley and the nut pulley, the belt comprising provided with one or more first magnetic bodies; and a rack housing enclosing or housing at least a portion of the motor pulley, the nut pulley and the belt are housed. The rack housing may comprise one or more second magnetic bodies provided on an inner circumferential surface thereof facing or opposite to the belt. Alternatively, the rack housing may comprise a support portion protruding from an inner surface of the rack housing, and one or more second magnetic bodies may be provided on a surface of the support portion.
Subframe for a rear axle of a motor vehicle
A subframe for a rear axle of a motor vehicle includes a transverse structure and a steering device for wheels of the motor vehicle which are fastened to the rear axle. In the installed state of the subframe in the motor vehicle, the transverse structure extends in the transverse direction of the motor vehicle. The transverse structure includes an upper transverse structure element and a lower transverse structure element. The steering device is arranged between the upper transverse structure element and the lower transverse structure element.
