Projectile launching device
10207166 · 2019-02-19 ·

A sports and games apparatus consisting of two rods and an aerodynamic projectile with an opening which receives the two rods. The projectile is launched by manipulating the rods in an opposing fashion. The opening of the projectile is of the appropriate size to allow for the rods to slide through, but not large enough that the projectile exhibits unwanted motions that inhibit accuracy during the launching motion. The rods are used to propel the projectile towards a variety of targets which interact with the projectile in various ways. The projectile may comprise a multitude of aerodynamic shapes and a multitude of methods for interacting with targets.

A disk throwing device, comprising a handle and a fork. The fork is coupled to the handle and extending therefrom along a first axis. The fork having a pair of prongs extending therefrom from an end thereof opposite the handle. The pair of prongs meeting at a prong junction and having a common top surface substantially orthogonal to the first axis such that a disk may slide freely across the top surface. The disk throwing device also comprises a clip, extending orthogonally away from the fork in relation to the first axis at a first portion at the prong junction. The clip having a second portion coupled to the first portion that extends substantially parallel to the first axis such that it may trap a disk between the clip and the pair of prongs.

A throwable toroidal projectile and a launcher for the toroidal projectile are disclosed, wherein the toroidal projectile comprises at least one flange. The flange is shaped in such a way that stepping on the flange with one's foot flips the projectile into a vertical position so that it can be loaded into the launcher hands-free. The launcher comprises a curved arm and a straight arm disposed on opposite sides of a C-shaped cup, so that swinging the launcher around in an arc will release the toroidal projectile with topspin and velocity.

Four swords and at least one ring. Each sword has integrally formed handle, blade, and intermediate sections, and top and bottom surfaces with interior and exterior edges. Each generally oval handle section has grasping and shielding regions. Each thin, elongated and curved blade section has upper and lower ends with a convex interior edge and a concave exterior edge and slots extending between the top and bottom surfaces along its length. Each intermediate section has at least one projection extending from one of the edges. Each ring has an outer edge in a circular configuration, an inner edge with circumferential arcs which receives the exterior edges of blade sections of two crossed swords. The blade sections when aimed and rapidly uncrossed project the ring toward the upper ends of the blade sections and beyond for receipt by the sword of another player for subsequent projecting.
