VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle for transporting passengers include a floor board on which the passengers ride. The vehicle further includes a passenger distribution detection device that detects a passenger distribution that is a distribution of the passengers on the floor board. The vehicle further includes a control device that executes a passenger guidance control that guides the passengers on the floor board such that the passenger distribution approaches a target passenger distribution to increase a stability of the vehicle.
Structural joining part for sorb impact events
A structural panel joining part for a vehicle having an underbody hold-down panel, a floor panel, a dash panel, and a cowl side panel includes an underbody coupling first portion configured to couple to at least one of the underbody hold-down panel and the floor panel, a dash panel coupling second portion configured to couple to the dash panel, and a cowl side coupling third portion configured to couple to the cowl side panel. The structural panel joining part maintains structural integrity between the underbody hold-down panel, the floor panel, the dash panel, and the cowl side panel to provide structural reinforcement during small overlap rigid barrier impacts to facilitate reducing structural intrusion into an occupant compartment of the vehicle.
Method for producing a vehicle
A method for producing a motor vehicle that includes producing and painting a bodyshell having a platform composed of metal and a vehicle body composed of metal which is configured for placement on the platform, producing and painting a main floor composed of metal separately from a remainder of the bodyshell, and attaching the main floor to the previously painted platform and/or the previously painted vehicle body.
Motor vehicle
A motor vehicle having: running gear having a chassis and wheel suspensions, which include longitudinal and transverse links for attaching wheels to the chassis; a body having an underfloor and/or an underfloor paneling, the underfloor and/or the underfloor paneling exposing the links; paneling for the links having a recess for air to cool a brake; and a flow guide upstream of a respective paneling. The flow guide is connected to the underfloor or to underfloor paneling and which, together with the respective paneling, divides up the air flow into: a first air flow, which can be fed, upstream of the recess, via a first flow channel of the respective paneling to a first region of the brake, and into a second air flow, which can be fed via the recess of the respective paneling and a second flow channel of the respective paneling to a second region of the brake.
Steering support structure
A gusset is joined to an instrument panel reinforcement and a floor brace. The instrument panel reinforcement includes a D seat rear beam extending from a portion to be joined to the floor brace to a portion for supporting the steering column. The D seat rear beam includes a D seat upper beam having a hat-shaped cross section open toward a lower side. The gusset includes a reinforcement joint portion that is joined to the D seat upper beam to form a closed cross section.
Control arm with tunable fracture features
A control arm includes a wheel side end, a body side end, a first connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, a second connecting member extending between the wheel side end and the body side end, and having a reduced section portion, and a fracture zone extending through the first and second connecting members in a substantially fore-aft direction of the vehicle, the reduced section portion being within the fracture zone. A thickness of the reduced section portion is tunable to establish a controlled fracturing during a small overlap rigid barrier impact event where: (i) an initial fracture of the first connecting member occurs within the fracture zone, and (ii) a secondary fracture of the second connecting member occurs within the fracture zone at the reduced section portion, to thereby provide a desired rearward trajectory of the wheel assembly during the impact event.
Monocoque vehicle structure
Each of a monocoque body and a subframe is integrally formed of reinforced resin. The subframe has a bottom portion and an upstanding portion. The bottom portion is fixed to the lower portion of the rear wall of the monocoque body and extends rearward of the vehicle. The upstanding portion extends upward from the bottom portion. An engine is directly mounted on the rear surface of the upstanding portion.
Multi-flange extrusion member
A connection member includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The connection member also includes a third side connecting the first and second sides, the third side including a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion, a first edge separating the first portion from the second portion and a second edge separating the second portion from the third portion. A first flange extends along the first edge and a second flange extends along the second edge such that the first and second flanges are separated by the second portion.
Method of assembling vehicle including an integrated interior module and top-hat
A vehicle assembly method includes assembling a chassis platform, mounting a floor pan to the platform, mounting a modular interior to the floor pan, assembling a body top-hat separate from the platform and the floor pan, and mounting the body top-hat to the platform and the floor pan after mounting the modular interior to the floor pan.
BODY FOR VEHICLE
A body for a vehicle configured for securing safety performance and vehicle rigidity according to a vehicle collision while increasing a battery capacity mounted in the vehicle, may include an internal side member mounted on a top surface of a center floor in a longitudinal direction of the body; a battery cross member mounted in a width direction of the body inside a battery case provided at a lower end portion of the center floor while intersecting the internal side member; and a coupling structure coupled to the battery case, the battery cross member, and the center floor at a point where the internal side member and the battery cross member intersect.
