The exhaust purification device (18) is disposed with a central axis of a downstream-side end inclined downwardly toward a rear side of the vehicle (100). The EGR cooler (24) is provided so as to introduce exhaust from a downstream side of the exhaust purification device (18), is adjacent to the exhaust purification device (18) and fixed to the exhaust purification device (18), and is disposed such that a central axis of the EGR cooler (24) is inclined downwardly toward the rear side of the vehicle.
MOTOR VEHICLE FLOOR ASSEMBLY
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle floor assembly, and further relates to a method of constructing a motor vehicle which reduces the number of fixing points (i.e., fastener attachment points) on a vehicle chassis. An example floor assembly includes a vehicle frame, a floor panel, and at least one underbody vehicle component forming a subassembly with the floor panel installed to an underside of the vehicle frame. The floor panel comprises at least one recess configured to receive a portion of the vehicle frame.
MOUNTING HARDWARE FOR VEHICLE STRUCTURES
A mounting rail assembly for mounting a seat to a vehicle is provided. The mounting rail assembly includes a substrate positioned between a first U-shaped track and a second U-shaped track in addition to one or more attachment members configured to couple the first and second U-shaped tracks and provide a clamping pressure to the substrate. The first and second U-shaped tracks include a plurality of apertures to receive the one or more attachment members.
VEHICLE ENGINE
A vehicle engine 2 comprises an exhaust system having an exhaust manifold 12 and an exhaust purification device 18. The exhaust manifold 12 is disposed at a predetermined distance from a dash panel 106 constituting a body of the vehicle 100, the exhaust purification device 18 is disposed in a position overlapping a floor tunnel region 114, formed by a floor tunnel of the body, and is disposed below the exhaust manifold 12 and to one side of the center of the engine 2 in the cylinder-array direction, as viewed from the longitudinal direction of the vehicle 100. An exhaust purification device introduction passage 17 connecting the exhaust manifold 12 and the exhaust purification device 18 is disposed on the other side of the center of the exhaust manifold 12 in the cylinder-array direction, and extends below the exhaust manifold 12 to be connected to the exhaust purification device 18.
PRESSED COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHOD AND PRESS APPARATUS
A method for manufacturing a pressed component including an elongated top plate, a wall having one end connected to a short direction end portion of the top plate, that curves with a convex shape bowing toward an opposite side to the top plate as viewed from an upper side of the top plate, and that includes a sharp curve portion, and a flange that is connected to another end of the wall, and that extends in a plate thickness direction of the wall toward the opposite side to the top plate side. The manufacturing method includes pressing to form an intermediate formed component including a preliminary flange and pressing to deform the preliminary flange to form the preliminary flange into the flange.
BODY FLOOR STRUCTURE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING A TRACTION BATTERY
A body floor structure (1) for a motor vehicle having a traction battery (2) includes a first longitudinal member (3) and a second longitudinal member (4) that extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction. A floor panel (5) spans between the two longitudinal members (3, 4). A central tunnel (6, 6) extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction and has a cavity (60, 60) and is configured for receiving equipment components of the motor vehicle. The traction battery (2) is arranged on a lower side of the body floor structure (1), and the cavity (60, 60) of the central tunnel (6, 6) is designed to be open in the direction of a vehicle interior (7).
LOWER VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE
A lower vehicle-body structure comprises a vehicle floor comprising a bottom face portion and a floor tunnel which protrudes upwardly and extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction, a pair of right-and-left floor cross members extending in a vehicle width direction on both sides of the floor tunnel, and a connecting member provided to extend in the vehicle width direction at a position which overlaps the floor cross members in the vehicle longitudinal direction and be fixed to at least one of the vehicle floor and the floor cross members at plural fixation positions. These plural fixation positions are located at plural different levels in a range of a height of the floor cross members.
LOWER VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE
A lower vehicle-body structure comprises a vehicle floor comprising a bottom face portion and a floor tunnel, a pair of right-and-left first floor cross members extending in a vehicle width direction and provided on both sides of the floor tunnel, a pair of right-and-left second floor cross members extending in the vehicle width direction and provided on both sides of the floor tunnel, the second floor cross members being spaced rearwardly from the first floor cross members, a first connecting member provided to extend in the vehicle width direction at a position overlapping the first floor cross members in the vehicle longitudinal direction, and a second connecting member provided to extend in the vehicle width direction at a position overlapping the second floor cross members in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
Structural assembly with patterned panels
A structural assembly includes a frame and a plurality of panels. The frame includes a wall that at least partially defines an interior region. The plurality of panels is disposed at least partially in the interior region and is coupled to the frame. The plurality of panels includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface defines a first plurality of depressions and the second surface defines a first plurality of protrusions complementary to the first plurality of depressions. The second panel includes a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface. The third surface defines a second plurality of depressions. The fourth surface defines a second plurality of protrusions complementary to the first plurality of depressions. The first panel is coupled to the second panel.
