Method for producing a vehicle
A method for producing a motor vehicle having a body shell that includes a platform composed of metal and a vehicle body composed of metal which is fitted on the platform. The method includes producing, separately from a remainder of the body shell, a main floor module that includes a main floor of the body shell and at least one drive-specific component, and attaching the main floor module to an already dip-coated platform and/or to an already dip-coated vehicle body.
BATTERY PACK, VEHICLE BODY, AND VEHICLE
A battery pack includes a battery core; a cover plate, the battery core connected with the cover plate; a side frame, the cover plate connected with the side frame; and a cooling plate connected with the side frame, where the battery core is disposed in an accommodating space formed among the cover plate, the cooling plate, and the side frame. A vehicle body includes a vehicle body frame having a notch, and the battery pack. The side frame of the battery pack is connected with the vehicle body frame, and the cover plate of the battery pack seals the notch as a vehicle body floor.
Pressed component manufacturing method, pressed component, and press apparatus
A method for manufacturing a pressed component including an elongated top plate, a wall having one end connected to a short direction end portion of the top plate, that curves with a convex shape bowing toward an opposite side to the top plate as viewed from an upper side of the top plate, and that includes a sharp curve portion, and a flange that is connected to another end of the wall, and that extends in a plate thickness direction of the wall toward the opposite side to the top plate side. The manufacturing method includes pressing to form an intermediate formed component including a preliminary flange and pressing to deform the preliminary flange to form the preliminary flange into the flange.
VEHICLE CONSOLE INCLUDING AN AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
A console for a vehicle cabin having a floor includes a base and a cover. The base includes a wall and an airbag. The wall has an inner surface, an outer surface, a top, and an opposing bottom. The inner surface defines an inner volume. The top defines a top opening of the inner volume. The airbag can deploy from the outer surface of the wall. The cover is coupled to the wall. The cover is movable between an open position and a closed position. The cover at least partially encloses the inner volume when in the closed position. In certain aspects, the wall includes an inner wall and an outer wall that cooperate to define a gap. The airbag is disposed in the gap. In certain aspects, one of the inner wall and the outer wall is integrally formed with the floor.
Mounting arrangement
A fastening arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising a component, a load-bearing structural element of the motor vehicle, and at least one fastening device. The component is fastened to the load-bearing structural element of the motor vehicle via the at least one fastening device. The fastening device has a clamping element in which in a normal state the clamping element reinforces the fastening of the component via the fastening device, with the action of an external force the clamping element being automatically transferred into an accident state in which the clamping element loosens the fastening of the component via the fastening device.
SUSPENDED FLOOR ASSEMBLY
A vehicle has improved energy absorbing capability and occupants have increased blast survivability. The vehicle includes a suspended floor assembly. The floor assembly may be suspended by, at least in part, one or more suspensions arms that have an extendable portion. The floor assembly may also have a yaw plane energy absorber between the floor assembly and a wall of the vehicle.
Method of producing vehicle body assembly
A vehicle body assembling apparatus includes a lower jig, an upper jig movable by an arm of a robot, and a joining device. The joining device performs joining operations for lower component parts (e.g., a temporary assembly of a rear floor frame) transported by the upper jig and positioned by the lower jig, upper component parts (e.g., a temporary assembly of a rear floor panel) held by the upper jig, and a temporary assembly of a vertical assembly (e.g., rear floor component) formed by overlapping the upper assembly with the lower assembly, above the lower jig at different timings.
BATTERY CASE ASSEMBLY
A battery case assembly includes a first member and a second member. The first member has a bottom portion, an upright portion and a top portion. The bottom portion is rigidly and fixedly attached to a vehicle floor structure. The second member is attached to the first member thereby defining a hollow rectangular structure with an open forward end and an open rearward end. A battery fitted within the hollow rectangular structure such that forward end of the battery is exposed via the open forward end of the hollow rectangular structure and a rearward end of the battery is exposed via the open rearward end of the hollow rectangular structure.
VEHICLE UNDERBODY
A vehicle understructure includes a hydrogen tank that is disposed along a longitudinal axis of a vehicle. At least an upper portion of the hydrogen tank is enclosed in a floor tunnel. The hydrogen tank includes dome portions that are disposed at both ends of a cylindrical center body portion of the tank, and at least one valve portion that protrudes from at least one of the dome portions. The vehicle understructure also includes a brace that extends along a transverse axis of the vehicle and is secured to transversely outer side portions of the floor tunnel. The brace is at least partially overlapped with at least one of the dome portions when viewed from the front or rear of the vehicle.
VEHICLE LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURE
A vehicle load-bearing structure includes a cell made of composite materials and composed of a plurality of components joined to each other by at least one joining system to form a single structure; the cell is made up of a number n of components between 3 and 8, that is 3<n<8.
