Preform element for the production of a motor vehicle body
A preform structure is provided for the body of a motor vehicle. The structure includes a preform element which is produced from stacked fiber mats and has a peripheral area which along an edge is inclined relative to a preform surface, so as in this way to offer a load-appropriate transition from one preform element to another.
Motor vehicle reinforced structural element system
A system of a reinforced structural element of motor vehicle include: structural element includes a first and second sheet, wherein the sheets are connected to one another at first and second joining points, wherein the sheets form elongate cavity in region between the joining points, and wherein second sheet has, in region between first and second joining points, a bulge with first leg arranged at first joining point and with second leg arranged at second joining point; a reinforcing element includes a first and second side walls connecting the wall arranged in cavity of structural element; and adhesive bonding reinforcing element to structural element; wherein first side wall of reinforcing element arranging the first joining point and second side wall of reinforcing element arranging the second leg of second sheet so larger portions of force acting on first joining point of reinforcing element transferring, to second leg of second sheet.
Conveying vehicle as well as base frame and modular system for conveying vehicle
A base frame (34) which is universally usable for different modular structured conveying vehicles (30), in particular for shuttles (32), wherein the conveying vehicles (30) can travel horizontally along a travelling direction (52) in a storage and order-picking system (10), wherein the base frame (34) comprises a supporting frame (36) and a structure (38) connected to the frame (36), wherein at least the structure (38) is made of plastic only, and wherein the structure (38) comprises a plurality of component-specific seatings (58) being formed integrally with the structure (38) and being configured to positively hold in a resilient clamp at least one of the following functional components (60) of the respective conveying vehicle (30): a bearing (62); a driving unit (64); a sensor (66); an actuator (68); a load-handling device (70); a communication unit (78); a cabling (76); and an electric controlling unit (80) wherein each of the functional components (60) is positively insertable in or on the respective component-specific seating (58) along a component-specific mounting direction.
Infrared welded exterior panel assembly and process of making same
An exterior body panel assembly having a Class A painted surface, mold-in color or non-Class A surface, and process of infrared welding components of the assembly. Panels of the assembly are placed on a nesting structure and the inside half of the structures are brought together with the other for a fit check. Panels are separated and an infrared heating fixture then heats the various areas to be heated on the panels. The areas on the panels are heated depending on the thicknesses of the parts at each area and surface geometries to be welded. The parts are immediately clamped back together under pressure for joining and cooling of the joined surfaces in the clamped arrangement.
Mounting structure of exterior part
In a mounting structure of an exterior part, a molding has a recess capable of being fitted to an outer periphery of the exterior part, as seen in a cross-sectional view. The outer periphery includes a recessed corner portion at which two sides of the outer periphery cross each other. One of the two sides constituting the recessed corner portion includes a protrusion capable of being fitted into the recess of the molding. The other of the two sides includes a cutout portion disposed adjacent to the protrusion, the cutout portion permitting insertion of the molding therethrough under a condition where the exterior part is mounted on a front surface of a main member. The exterior part is mounted on the front surface of the main member under a condition where an end portion of the molding mounted on the one side is inserted into the cutout portion.
TRAILER AND HOUSING SYSTEM
A housing and trailer system comprising a trailer and a housing. The housing includes a lower housing and an upper housing and may be positioned on friction-reducing members that reduce friction between the housing and trailer. The reduction of friction facilitates the housing to slide more efficiently on the trailer. A safety lever and linkage system operates to safely move roof support structures and raise/lower the upper housing. An adjustable cargo system is attached to a roof on the housing. The adjustable cargo system is adjustable to receive and/or secure different sizes of cargo.
Composite structural component with tension/compression mechanical joint
A composite structural component includes an elongate member made of a polymer matrix composite material. The elongate member generally extending along an axis of the composite structural component from an end portion thereof. The component also includes an end fitting forming a mechanical joint with the end portion. The elongate member includes a first member extending from the end portion along the axis of the composite structural component and a second member extending from the end portion along the axis of the composite structural component. The end fitting is constrained in the end portion by the first and second members such that the first member is preloaded with a compressive stress in the axial direction and the second member is preloaded with a tensile stress in the axial direction.

STRUCTURE OF A FRONT PART OF THE BODYSHELL OF A VEHICLE, NOTABLY A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a structure of a front part of the bodyshell of a vehicle, notably a motor vehicle. According to the invention, the structure of the front part comprises reinforcing means secured to the A-pillar (5) and to the corresponding ends of the bodywork elements (1) so as to strengthen the connections between the A-pillar (5) and the bodywork elements (1) so as to prevent these connections from breaking in the event of a frontal impact of the vehicle. The invention applies to the automotive industry.
