Vehicle Spare Tire Lift Assembly

A tire lift assembly may include an upper plate, a rod, and a pair of handles. The rod may connect the upper plate to a trunk support surface spaced from the upper plate to receive a tire therebetween. Each of the pair of handles may be mounted for rotation to the upper plate and each may include a tab. Rotation of each of handles orients the respective tab for engagement and non-engagement with the tire. Each of the handles may be arranged with the upper plate so that the tabs define a dimension greater than a diameter of a rim through-hole of the tire when the tabs are rotated for engagement with the tire.

VEHICLE BODY WITH HVAC UNIT

A vehicle includes a vehicle body and an HVAC unit. The vehicle body has a first structure and a second structure that define a gap. The HVAC unit is fixed to the vehicle body and includes a motor and a case housing the motor. The case is disposed in the gap, abuts the first structure and the second structure, and reinforces the vehicle body between the first structure and the second structure.

A vehicle rear portion structure including: a spare tire house; a front side reinforcing portion provided at a bottom wall portion of the spare tire house, the front side reinforcing portion reinforcing the bottom wall portion and structuring a first high rigidity portion; a rear side reinforcing portion provided at the bottom wall portion so as to include a lower wall portion that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction, the rear side reinforcing portion being disposed at a vehicle rear upper side of the front side reinforcing portion, reinforcing the bottom wall portion, and structuring a second high rigidity portion, and a low rigidity portion provided between the first high rigidity portion and the second high rigidity portion, and a rigidity of the low rigidity portion being set to be lower than rigidities of the first high rigidity portion and the second high rigidity portion.

Motor vehicle structure having a holding element for holding a spare wheel or other component on a floor portion made of plastic material

A motor-vehicle structure includes an underbody portion of sheet-metal defining an aperture with within there is mounted a floor portion of plastic material or composite material, for housing a spare wheel or other component of a vehicle, such as an electric or electronic component and/or for example a unit for accumulating electric energy. To said floor portion of plastic material or composite material there is associated a holding element having at least a first part anchored to the underbody portion of sheet-metal and at least a second part which can be anchored to said spare wheel or said other component, so that in case of an accident, said holding element prevents said spare wheel or said other component from being projected far away from the underbody structure, by constraining it instead to remain within a distance corresponding to one dimension of said holding element.
